Tch. Who here reads Negima?

I reached 13 volumes until I finally decided, my heart is not in this. And so I dropped it. Too much ecchi when ecchi wasn't even the main plot, too many characters it was hard to empathize.

So now I'm looking for another series to read while I'm patiently waiting for employers to come get me... >.>

Of all glasses, why the square frame?

why not? the lady said "uso yan ngayon mam" I was choosing between this and you know those punk white frames...

and I really liked the white one except that it wouldn't fit everything that I was going to wear...

um... what other frame is there? gee I never really gave this some thought. And I didn't even look around other stores to compare prices. like, what's a beginner to know anyway? *shrugs

@MD
sadly no.

@bb
well being a glasses guy for almost a decade, I bought glasses without frames so there would be no annoying black outlines in my point of view.

As someone who's worn glasses for 98% of his life, I'd have to agree with Hunt. You don't want frames that will obscure your view in any way, nor do you want to get a heavy frame (since it'll take it's toll on your nose bridge, and make recessions on the sides). You also want to know the PH level of your sweat; this will help you determine if you can wear glasses with metal arms or not. This is because acidic sweat can eat through the metal and destroy your glasses! Lastly, you might want to make sure that you get an extra pair of screws for your glasses, you wouldn't know how many times I've lost screws while working (get a screwdriver too)...

If you have the extra cash, and your grade isn't that high, I'd suggest getting "Silhouette" frames. They're made of ultra lightweight titanium, and they allow for maximum view range because it's "rimless". I'd personally get them, but my grade is 5.25, and it's quite impossible for me to wear them without them falling off due to the sheer weight of my lenses. Apart from the light weight design, another cool thing about the silhouette frames is the fact that they're hinge-less! You'll never have to worry about screws coming off!

Have your glasses ever been screwed too tight and it after a while got that excruciating pain behind the ears?

Anyway, ive only had glasses for like 4/5 years top. Only three frames in that period. Im thinking of going for a last eye test before i have to start paying for them. :crying

I personally like them a bit tight behind the ears. It feels more secure compared to glasses that are too right around the face. I've tried using contacts, but they just don't compare to a good pair of glasses with a great fitting frame.

Ahh contacts the horror of contacts. Contacts i took when i went abroad, and my god are they annoying. After a lot of practise i was able to get them in within a minute (each eye) i felt proud of that xD. Usually it took much more than that.

Getting them on is the tough part, but it never too me as long as a minute for each eye. The annoying part was that I had to wear hard lenses (because soft lenses can't correct astigmatism), and they were a total bitch! If your eyes aren't that used to the hard lenses, they can cause immense amounts of pain if worn for too long (like how your feet hurt with new shoes...but in your eyes). I wore my contacts about 3 hours too long, and it felt like a cat was clawing at my eyeballs (even with the contacts off).

Ouch, i was strictly soft lenses (frankly ive never even seen hard lenses being sold...?). It did get irritating especially at the end of the day, whats worse though was a couple of times I got into bed before i realised i still had them on! Contacts means more vigilance and concentration, if they make ones that you insert on a monday and only have to take them out the following monday then maybe i will subscribe to get some. But for now, glasses are much much easier.

I don't wear my glasses at home, because the grade's high enough to cause dizziness and headaches when removed.

I wear them when I go to school, mostly because I can't read where the public transport will be going. And ogling at pretty girls too. And differentiating pretty from ugly.
