Wrong Viola was already plotting to have Luffy and Law take out Doffy even before she ran into Sanji

No she wasn't. She literally said she was afraid to turn on Doffy, to the point where she was afraid to even run away. Sanji gave her enough hope to finally turn on Doffy. Sanji's influence led her to trust Luffy, Law, and the Straw Hats for the remainder of the arc.

Doffy even pointed this out after he clashed with Sanji. That was the first time he ever acknowledged a traitorous action from her.

Anyone here feels weird about the whole sanji plot in wci?
I feel like its forced just so that luffy has a reason to go to wci.
The vinsmoke should notice sanji after enies lobby incident. The strawhat was invading a vital part of marine, after all..that should make them on headline news
The flashback also ended cheesy and quite similar to robin : Y-you will get loyal nakamas, fam!
The conflict between sanji and luffy also does not make sense, to be honest
Sanji should know that luffy is not a person who is willing to give up his crew. Did sanji forget the whole robin and cp 9 thing?
Sanji should just say something like he wants to leave strawhat crew to live together with pudding who he "loved", rather than making obvious lie.
Wci just destroyed any good thing left from sanji, to be frankly

I feel like Sanji's plot in WCI was certainly lacking. He could have come out with a decent fight, and the cake sub-plot could have been introduced better, so that we care about it more. I think the idea of cooking to defeat the enemy would have worked better if there was some sort of precedent for it: for example, a Zeff/Ivankov flashback to give it more legitimacy. And if fans had the satisfaction of seeing Sanji beat up Daifuku or another officer of the big mom pirates, they would have probably been less critical of the cake sub-plot. So all in all, yeah, it did feel like some aspects of Sanji's character could have had more spot light.

WCI overall great arc actually. Check on Youtube of those who dissect the arc and explain each events. It help great with Sanji characters and others as well fights. Sanji did got combat feats in there even though combat wasn't main focus of it. It was more Impel Down type of arc. To retrieve, not to dominate.

Wano now is showcasing more Sanji feats after beating PO and fighting off Drake. We can expect more from him in fighting as arc continues.

Why should i let someone explain to me something i didnt like in the first place? It wont even change my opinion in like 95% of times.

Mainreason i dislike WCI is simple: It wasnt our entire crew. I friggin hate that splitting since it began. Everytime we have a full crew its just awesome, filled with comedy and action.

Also i dislike the theme of big moms crew and island. It kinda lacks a good antagonist too. Katakuris wasnt hyped at all except for: "he can see the future" and Big Mom... was just all like caaaaake.

For me, Luffy vs Katakuri was about the best fight post-ts. Brook got his coolest moment yet vs Big Mom. But the Sanji parts could have been better.

Sanji's clashes with a Yonko and her elite crewmembers
Brook vs Big Mom
Brook being the arc MVP in Sanji's own arc

Lows:

Lack of an arc villain for Sanji in his own arc
BM weakness
Jinbe still not joining the crew permanently
Sanji's cake not making Big Mom pass out for a longer time

There's nothing wrong with Sanji in Whole Cake Island. It was an arc which characters were running instead of fighting. Sanji did what he does best, that is cooking.

What I did not like is that the cooks working for Big Mom are supposed to be top-notch in the world, and they couldn't believe Sanji's skill... it would have been the chance to make Sanji grow his cooking skills with them, instead the author decided he should have been the best from start. Phew.

Yes and that came after she withheld information on the whereabouts of the Strawhats and her plan to pit Luffy and Law against Doffy, so explain to me why your refusing when i say she already betrayed the family long before she met Sanji

In terms of personal narrative, Sanji's role in WCI was great. Gave him some development and reaffirmed his position in the crew.

Overall though, there were moments where his actions felt incidental in an arc that was "dedicated" to him. In a way, it was kind of a continuation of Dressrosa, where it was more about what Luffy gained from the experience and how it'll benefit him in the future than anything else.

The conflict between the two was definitely a bit contrived, especially with Sanji faking his hatred of sailing with the crew. The fight between the two still could've been had, but just have it where Sanji is honest about the whole thing. He's trying to protect them, but Luffy won't leave, so he tries to knock him out so Nami and the rest can take him away or something before Big Mom finds them.

Not only is Luffy not the kind of person to do that, but in their first meeting he kept trying to recruit Sanji even when Sanji kept saying no. Given what Luffy did for Robin, Nami, and Ace, no one on the crew should even think Luffy would leave them easily.

Well in this case we facing a Yonko. Not that he won't ever come back. Just now isn't the time since dealing with Kaido and didn't want BM on their necks from his end.

100% agree on this. Just like eefrit said, the fight could still happen but at least sanji should be honest about it rather than making obvious lie. That scene made sanji as an unreliable crew who doesnt know well his captain.

The Scopper/Rayliegh interactions this latest chapter futher highlights Zoro and Sanji similar connections moving forward.

Looking forward to seeing more of Scopper. Hopefully soon.

Sanji and Zoro definitely look like they share similar position in the crew.

I think it was just desperation and putting on an act for his family so they won't go after Luffy thinking Sanji might go back.
