Side ships are always more canon than main ones since no one gives a damn about them, Saying the fuckboys ship is more canon is retarded imo. They don't have any build up and just happened, That kiss may only happened in anime not manga hence it's not canon but i'm not quite sure.

There is really nothing much I can say about this ship other then Makarov and Porlyusica were once teammates.
Most of their team from back in the day has died or moved to other ventures (like Yajima), but these two are still members of Fairy Tail. Porlyusica doesn't like humans and prefers to live as a hermit in the woods. She does still occasionally come to help Fairy Tail, especially when Makarov is ill.
You can't deny that the bond between the two is close.
She also seems to worry about him more than others while he confides in her.
Is it friendship?
Is it love?

I believe that this is Mashima's version of this ship...

I've always seen them more as bffs than possible lovers, maintaining their friendship throughout many, many years: Porlyusica's tsundere-ness hides a deep care for him, and I can very much portray Makarov defending her during fights when they were young and in a team, taking up missions together.
They share a deep bond - just not a romantic one, in my opinion. :wonder

There’s nothing wrong with gay couples. But there IS something wrong with someone becoming incredibly irritating due to an obsession with a certain person. Freed is a pure genius, but once Laxus is around he completely destroys that image by looking dumb, immature and weak.

So their relationship has a pretty big history, which means I won’t go through it all. Just know that Laxus barely gives a fuck – though he doesn’t mind him as a personal assistent from time to time (that’s a reference to the bathhouse party). But is it love that Freed has to offer or is it just admiration? It’s up to your imagination to decide – but don’t take it as far as some people.

Lenny comes to a conclusion and I’m not sure if it’s correct: “One-sided love, but the mutual admiration and affection is real.” Does Laxus really care for him that much? Meanwhile, Takuan just feels bad for Freedo: “A unilateral love, unfortunately. Poor Freed.” Jko doesn’t think it was love at all: “Felt more admiration than love.” There’s a chance, yes.

We close with Emperor Spriggan who almost makes me want to write an essay about how poorly written Laxus vs. Wall was: “Easily Laxus's closest friend, the Jutsu Shiki formula he used against Wahl is a clear indicator of this, plus Larcade confirmed something else happened during Laxus's one year stay at Pegasus :fan

Freed doesn't act dumb and weak, he remains loyal and Laxus gives him strength.

Laxus doesn't seem to express his feelings and for another isn't something to blurt out. Freed brings logic and order while Laxus brings assertiveness. Perfect couple imo

True in the end it was canon but for 500 chapters (or the majority of FT) it was one-sided but praised for being such. To say Frexas isn't a good ship because it's one-sided is hypocritical. Besides, who Laxus ended up with was a mystery and based on rumours

Sure, I think this ship deserved higher but at the same time.... it is too similar to my preferred OTP. You can see from these panels how closely they resemble a certain other dragon slayer-celestial wizard - exceed partnership. :teehee

With saying that, they aren't a carbon copy of Nalu even though they have many similarities. First, the these two had a very unique beginning. Displaying a cold demeanor, Sting initially did not seem to care much about his comrade, Yukino, to the point of stating that Fiore's strongest guild has no use for weak Mages when she was defeated. Second during Jiemna's shameful way of kicking her out, only Rogue seem to actually regret what happened to Yukino. And Sting hardly seem aware of anything outside of himself in the beginning.

This attitude is later revamped when Sting experiences punishment for defeat himself, acknowledging then how cruel Sabertooth's methods were. Following the games, a more humbled Sting asks Yukino to rejoin Sabertooth, stating he wants to build up a guild that cherishes its members.

During the Alvarez Empire Arc, it was Yukino who managed to bring a sulking Sting back to his senses.

This was a pretty sweet gesture where he took her hand and was worried she hurt it while slapping him.

And nobody can forget that awesome display of jealous Sting had against Rogue for groping her boob. The only thing that can disrupt synergy between the twin dragons is a.... girl....

The Sabertooth light novel gave them more development as it paired Sting-Yukino-Lector off as partners that go on missions... The first arc was even centered around Sting-Yukino specifically.

Sting was the first to figure out that an imitator had taken Yukino's place in the guild and she had been kidnapped leading to him chasing after her and the kidnappers to rescue her.

Of course, I have a theory why this was not higher... as @Jko has been pointing out...

A very important part of this relationship was left out...

No Rogue????!!!! While I like StingYu... I love the idea of the three together.

As the only acceptable threesome in this story...
Rogue should have been included in this pairing. That's my opinion and I am sticking to it. :feelsgoodman

On a serious note, the only other real issue that I have with this ship is that during the Larcade battle, Sting never acknowledged Yukino even though Larcade had sexually harassed her the most.
All the other major ships were getting battle moments left and right but Sting's fight had Yukino not only do nothing, but Kagura x Yukino got more action the StingYu. It would have been nice for shippers to get "Are you ok, Yukino?" Or him to spare her a glance or something.

Anyway.... Have some lovely fanart for the road.

And to be on-topic, why Erza's ships were out so early? Even before Hibiki and Jenny (who is this at all?? They are not two people who meet each other, they are just actual couple without any development or even beginning of ship).

Sting and Yukino has to be one of Mashima' s ships where he is like "no one likes Sting and Rogue so let's randomly make them a couple".

Yukino had no personality after GMG so maybe that's why I dint like this ship. :notrust
