I like the way this is broken out. I read somewhere (sorry can't remember where) that Oda said Usopp will always be the weakest physically because he wants to keep him based on what the strength of an average person is.

So my list based on current physical strength is:
1. Luffy
2. Zorro
3. Sanji
4. Franky / Chopper (tie)
6. Robin
7. Brook
8. Nami / Usopp (I'd say him and Nami are tied)

Based on battle skills:
1. Luffy
2. Zorro
3. Sanji / Franky (tie)
5. Usopp (based on sniper skills and unique weapons)
6. Brook (former leader of a battle convoy)
7. Chopper
8. Robin
9. Nami

I prefer to break them into teams

A-team: Luffy, Zoro, Sanji
B-team: Franky, Robin, Brook
C-team: Nami, Usopp, Chopper

I completely agree.

In each team, You can argue about who's the best. But A-team > B-team > C-team.

And those are manga facts:
A-team is not the monster trio for nothing & C-team is not the puny trio for nothing.

Why should this change after timeskip ? There is no reason.
People overrates Usopp only because we saw Usopp doing something on fake-nami.

And please, stop with Chopper "monster point". Why don't you realize how weak this "monster point" trully is ? IT S ONLY "RAW PHYSICAL STRENGTH, LOW SPEED, EASY TARGET".

Seriously, Franky took care of "Monster point" with ONE "coup de vent".

Base on RPG game stats, there are Strength,Dexterity,Constitution,Willpower,Intelligence
This is likely before Time skip because we still don't see how much stronger they are after two years (Probably super strong)

Mine would be...

1. Luffy
2. Zoro

Luffy, Zoro, and Usopp trained specifically for fighting. The rest developed their deck hand roles a bit more as opposed to battle power.

the strongest members of the strawhats wil always be luffy, zoro and sanji, then we have robin and franky that arent the "fighter" type but have good fighting powers and skills, and finally, usopp, chopper, nami and brook , that have destructive power but they are more of the "supporting" type, those who need a tank in front of them to use the full potential of their abilities

Sanji (Has ALOT of Power behind his kicks, but mostly relies on combo's, precise strikes, and not PURELY raw power as the others do)
Robin (She is a fighter after all)
Brook (I believe he is more on speed striking and not power)
Nami (She already thrashed Usopp in the Arlong Arc)
Usopp (He will always be the "weakest" if you go buy Raw Strength)





"INTELLIGENCE"

Robin (I'm just inclined to believe she is the smartest)
Nami (The 3rd smartest person in East Blue Arc after Beckman and Kuro)
Chopper (Brain Point, and Doctors are usually intelligent)
Usopp (Ingenuity, Spatial Awareness & Geometric Mastery(Marksman Skills), He's very useful)
Sanji (The only monster trio member with actual sense and tactical abilities)
Franky (He is smart, and he is very knowledgeable on all things ShipWright)
Brook (He is a musical genius)
Luffy (He's an idiot, but a combat genius, proven many times)
Zoro (The only reason he's under Luffy is because of Luffy's battle genius)




STAMINA/ENDURANCE (This is the hardest to decide)

Luffy (Gomu Gomu No Mi, and Crazy Determination)
Zoro (He's only fallen twice, Mihawk and Kuma(2nd Time))
Usopp (His only inhuman ability, the ability to take horrible damage and keep getting up to fight)
Chopper (Defense Point??? (The furry ball chopper))

Franky (He got hit by a fucking sea train)
Robin (Survived since she was seven with people after head constantly)
Nami (The Knife Scene is the most emotional scene in the anime/manga)

brook is completely underrated. The guy is a former acting captain of grand line pirates and there si a reason why is not part of the weak trio.

In the manga, we have a monster trio & a weak trio ... and those are Oda's words, not mine.

1- Luffy - Haki + Gears puts him over the edge in terms of strength.
2- Zoro - Trained by Mihawk himself, he was a beast before that now he's worst.
3- Sanji - He fixed a face with his kick, c'mon man if that ain't the best, plus
he was trained by Ivankov and his people.
4- Tied-Chopper - I'm sure he has Monster point under control now, that is like
learning to control Oozaru in Dragonball Z.
4- Tied-Franky - He should be at Pacifista level now, after learning everything
from Vegapunks blueprints.
6- Robin - She has a dangerous devil fruit power plus her knowledge. But she can't
compete with the big boys.
7- Usopp - Came back buff as hell now, must have learned some nice moves
from fighting his way out of that dangerous place.
8- Brook - Now he has power behind his music, something he never had before.
9- Nami - If boobs were strength, she would be at the top, but her skills don't
make for one on one fights more like combos with everyone else.

I don't quite get why brook is ranked so low... For me it goes like this:

1.- Luffy
2.- Zoro
3.- Sanji
4.- Franky
5.- Brook
6.-Chopper/ussop
7.-robin/nami

I don't think there is that much of a difference between the last members. I also don't think robin can be considered one of the main fighters. Brook has decent swordmanship skills, good speed and most likely has developed a musical fighting stile. I don't think ussop could land a hit on him though. Nami has her new technology which could be quite dangerous however I don't think she has the supernatural physical capacities to take out brook. Robin has a cool fruit but enough speed and strength would be an issue for her. Ussop is one of the fighting crewmembers technically and he can be dangerous at a range but could he keep his distance from brook? I don't think so....

I think Robin shouldn't be considered as a fighter. She almost never fights. She had one fight 1 vs 1 since she joined the crew (against that priest on skypeia).

Plus, in fights, she depends entirely on her devil fruit:
- if you can counter her devil fruit, she's doomed.
- if you can't counter her devil fruit, you're doomed

I'm not surprised that Robin is one of the few strawhats who didn't show her new fighting skills post-timeskip.

But if there is one on one fights among strawhats, she one-shot both Nami & Usopp.

The way I see it, the straw hats seem to be divided in 3 groups based on combat ability...

1 - Luffy, Zoro, Sanji
2 - Franky
3 - Nami, Ussop, Chopper, Robin, Brook

I insist, why is brook ranked so low? What has ussop ever done to suggest he is stronger than brook in the least? IMO he should be up there with franky. basically the fifth strongest fighter in the crew. As for robin, I also don't think she can be considered one of the main fighters. She is certainly deadly but her actual physical capacities are not that superior to that of a normal person (nami for instance). Her position is more intellectual than anything. All of the strawhats should have a degree of fighting capacity and eventually all of them will be beasts in their own rights however robin is not and most likely will never be among the crews main fighters.

Brook:
- excellent sword's technique (when ryuuma used his techniques, ryuuma was almost on par with zoro)
- good speed (among the strawhats , I think only the monster trio is faster)
- excellent agility (He is light )
- can walk on water
- Extremely Rapid Healing (he completely heal himself with a bottle of milk)
- can use music attacks in addition to his swordmanship ... making him deadly at low range (sword) & mid range (music)
- He is not considered by the other crewmembers as a member of the weak trio ...
- he got no organs, no vital points ...

And many people still manage to put him in the last three positions ... Brook is only ranked so low because he is the last strawhat to join & did not have occasions to show off.

^I agree with that. I just don't see how nami, ussop, robin or even chopper would be able to fight on par with him. Even brook's music has battle applications, I don't see how he is seen as the weaker ones. I think he is basically right after franky in terms of battle power.

I'm hoping Brook gets a 1 v 1 fight this arc, so people can finally stop underestimating him. Most people seem to think Robin can beat half the crew with her clutch, which is the main reason she's sometimes ranked above people such as Chopper and Brook.

2.zoro-i bet mihawk beat some awesome techniques in him
3.sanji-iva'chan was pretty strong + he had to defeat the 99 guys to clear the training
4.franky-if he really put to practice the blueprints of vegapunk then this position suits him
5.usopp-those pop green are really amazing ,i just loved his attacks and i have to say that IMO he's the one who grew the most in this timeskip at least that's the impression he gave me so far ^_^
6.robin-hhmm i still have a doubt here whether to put her on five or 6... i think she's in between
7.chopper-he also seems to have grown a lot and i like that now he's less a scaredy cat
8.nami-her clima tact has definitely improved and i'm still anticipating some great moves from her part...what she did on SA was pretty interesting
9.brook-although i still have a doubt that he's the weakest in all the crew..i think he might be more powerful than nami but for now until i see him in action i'll give him the last position
