Tales games are pretty much the only game I wait for every year. They've developed in a really great way. This year 2 games will come out so that's great.

Oh yeah ... those damned Espers. XIII's summons were a lot like 12's as well. Horrible.

X wasn't even that good lol. No character development, they were all annoying with the exception of LuLu and Auron, the story wasn't great either. The voice acting was terrible, the sphere grid was okayish.... Not to mention cut scenes every 5 minutes that explained nothing and were just useless.

I just want to give you a round of applause for mentioning Lulu as a standout character. :clap

To be honest, I don't really remember what her personality was like or motivations were but good god what a character design. Sure, it's high on the list of most impractical combat outfit ever(that's a LOT of belts) but... :swoon

She's actually my second favourite female character in the FF franchise, after Tifa :XD

Couldn't be truer. Tales are definitely better games. FF is a poor man's JRPG, ironically, with better and larger production values.

"This is probably the most ridiculous sword I've ever made." LOL, so Cloud's Buster Sword doesn't make sense, okay. Nice to know that. :XD

Sephiroth's Masamune is also cool.

He probably should try to make Leon's sword, frm FFVIII, yet another ridiculous sword possible. :lmao

They make swords for the sake of fans' nerdgasms so most of the stuff they do are not actually viable weapons. They have made zangetsu, thor's hammer (too heavy to lift) and several others are not actually viable or even mildly useful weapons. The master sword and leona's sword are just awesome though.

I am trying to find a way to play final fantasy X but so far no luck whatsoever. Bummer....

Have you guys seen this? The designer of Vagrant story and Final Fantasy Tactics is doing a kickstarter to make a new SJRPG called Unsung Story.

How is Sqaure not beating down his door right now saying "Please let us fund this game" and call it Final Fantasy Tactics: The Unsung story?

Their max stretch goal is like 3mil. That is pocket change for a company the size of Square. I also notice some strech goal benchmarks are to put it on PSVita at 1.8 mil and 3DS at 2.8. I'd be surprised if Sony wouldn't chip in about half that just to get another RPG for the Vita.

Probably the same situation as Capcom and the Megaman creator. Hope it gets the same response, as Mighty No.9 is coming out for all platforms :dancin

Does it work well though? I played the old FFs with an emulator but I didn't try the PS2 one because I read it performed poorly. I guess I have limited options so if I can get my hands on the game I will give it a try.

Works near perfect for me. Guess it depends on how good your rig is, my specs are really outdated though, but runs really well.

I don't really have a gaming pc to be honest. Integrated graphics and whatnot... Worked perfectly for PS games but I am unsure about ps2 games.

Ah..I doubt it would run well. Can always look up pcsx2 and your specs to check.

Just got the game, it actually works really well so far. I am not playing much tonight but I will definitely get into it later. I am really surprised I don't need a proper graphics card....

FFx iirc was one of the first games to be supported by PCSX2. It was definitely the game the emulator developers did their best to make as fast as possible. My guess is that as long as you don't make your game look pretty (AA, higher resolution and what not) you should be more than fine.

So far I have enjoyed the game quite a bit. It kinda seems like it is going to go on forever, I am actually a bit surprised at how different it feels from the PS FFs lol. I have to say though, I am not a fan of the characters having voices and that sort of thing. Every time I hear tidus speak I want to have him killed in battle and not ever revive him.... But that wont stop the voices...

I am still somewhat iffy about the combat system but I think I got the hang of the thing. Its not bad although after playing multiple games I kinda miss the materia from FFVII. Materia combinations were awesome (cant believe how much I changed my mind about that one and how disappointed I am that no boss in the game actually justifies the more awesome materia combinations crazy people online have come up with).

I honestly don't see what the hell X has that people love so much, besides the music. I hated everything that makes a FF game, characters,story,combat system(though the switching characters during battle was sort of cool and the aeons to some extent). BLITZBALL was also ridiculous -_- seriously my least favourite of the entire series. To each their own, but still... X is just...guh
