Never could risk cheating in exams since cheating and getting caught would've meant that I'd have to give up my free pass to nap in class.So I did have to study and play fair.Most* of the teachers in here only care about marks/grades and only cared about the losers who used to score low/bad.You could do anything in class if you scored well.Like napping,doodling,reading whatever the fuck you felt like reading (Obviously you can't have porno magazines or erotic literature or anything that's meant for adults with you) etc.*I did have to pay attention to some hard ass teachers who always went on about discipline and shit,though.

Oh I did cheat my way out of high school and uni, for the same reasons as you, Ki: so I could sleep more and study less, LOL.
I'm sure I could have done it with my own effort as well, since to get to the places where I study for high school and uni, I had to be selected thru hard exams, and did it for both in my first attempt.
I don't regret at all, both are filled with BS knowledge I haven't used it and prolly won't, ever. Our system rly needs some change and, meanwhile, I don't see the problem in putting less effort to get thru it. Waiting for the day that, at least our bachelors, will be more focused on developing skills...
Meanwhile, I can point out pretty trees on the streets and say their names that put the usefulness of a whole semester at uni under a new perspective to me after some time... gonna change the world with that...

Being still barely in High School I can give some current insight I suppose. I'm a little lax with study. I have my pro student moments but I'm just not good at getting that work done outside of the school environment. I usually score pretty high (Bs, As, Even some A+'s) through effort and just having a knack for subjects I suppose. (Not sure how to phrase that without sounding like I'm sucking my own dick). I suck at Maths. I need a bit of work in Chemistry. Those numbers man. Trip you up aye.

Brazilian invigilators are pretty apathetic huh.Well,it's Brazil so it isn't surprising to me.

It wasn't that I had very low interest in knowing and learning things.It was how there was a rigid schedule for school which I disliked.I didn't like waking up everyday (other than sundays and some saturdays) at 6:30AM/7AM in the morning and then brushing,showering,getting dressed and then getting on the bus filled with noisy peers.And then at school there is a schedule for classes of various subjects.Losers couldn't read whatever they wanted whenever they wanted to.FortunateIy I could do that,besides napping and doodling.One thing in the schedule that I like.

Participation trophies/awards are given just for participating. It's tangible evidence that you're not good enough to be acknowledged as the best or among them. It's a waste of materials because you bin them for most things...

Though I do confess that the idea of participation trophies probably had good intentions. They can be seen as acknowledging the effort to participate, as opposed to the cynical perspective I stated above. Perhaps at one time there was a train of thought that people wouldn't participate if they had no chance of winning, and then decided to provide an incentive for just participating. I do think that their impact on the younger generation is overblown based on the small sample of kids sport that I've been involved in over the last few years.

I mean,I don't see the problem if you cheated to get the answers for majority of the paper and got your degree and your interviewer/s ask you some kind of random riddle completely unrelated to the subject you "studied" in college and you give a witty reply and get insta-selected for the job without having the need for not even an iota of work experience.This is one of the scenarios where cheating to get the degree could workout for you.And there are scenarios where it wouldn't work at all.However it is it had worked for you might not work for others.

The thing is, millennials never came up with the concept, but we're criticized as if we wanted participation trophies. It was the older generation that did. Literally, older generations fucked up, and we get criticized for it or for making smarter decisions.
