Well this is cliche, we are talking about Mashima... here... In Rave Master, the three main characters are all have bf/gf at the end lol. One is obvious, another one kind of tragic, and one is actually comrade untill 'you know who' try to claim the girl as his wife, i think thats when he realizes he doesn't like other guys too close to the girl. Well Mashima give so many hints before that, i really like to discover every hints he threw.

But you must now Haru and Natsu are different, in term of characters and personality and so does Elie and Lucy. But it is not impossible... because we are talking about Mashima. Another couple that i know in the making is Erza (that is freaking obvious) but save that for another thread.

And i think Omake considered canon. It will be a long slow painful process untill we got to see Mashima pairs them up. I got a feeling there will be an arc about Lisanna story, and maybe from there we got to see some answer if Natsu actually ever interested in her, and how will Lucy's response.

Meanwhile enjoy the current Edora's arc.

I don't think natsu was "in love" with lisana nor was in love with lucy. I mean, look at the guy. I don't think he quite gets it. He does seem to have a special friendship with them though.

Well just before this arc Gildarts said he expected Natsu and Lisanna together (he didnt know she was dead). Natsu does have feelings for Lisanna but its not easy to tell if its just special friendship or still somewhat more.

I'd actually expect lisana to have liked natsu quite a bit, at least enough to not think of him as a friend. It's natsu who I doubt...

I really doubt natsu's perception of lisana was even vaguely different from his current perception of lucy. Even other FT members have noted how they have a similar relationship.

Natsu x Lucy, Erza just can't take her eyes off Gerald and there's something weird about Lisanna...I don't like her. Though I don't see any...romantic connection between Natsu and Lucy yet the author have plenty of time to develop it or maybe there won't be any pairings at all and Fairy Tail will just focus on the action...like most shonen do.

I always wanted Natsu/Erza to happen though even though there's also Gerald to factor into it. Now that Lisanna is back I don't see that happening since they're already pretty much a couple as it stands now. I voted Natsu/Erza anyway though for personal reasons. The only thing Lucy has going for her is that her character design is loosely based on Elie from Rave. Other than that there's no real chemistry between Natsu & Lucy.

Natsu x Lisanna for life. Ever since special chapter about happy's birth i wanted her to come back somehow. They looked so cute together taking care of the egg. And to me they make the most sense.

But honestly, if Natsu was to end up with someone. It'd probably be Lucy. Not cause the chemistry between Lisanna and Natsu ain't strong, but Because Lucy and Natsu both seem to have a greater Purpose that somehow seems to intertwine.

Well the entire relationship stuff with Natsu was based on the fact that he lost his childhood love > Lisanna. Then he met Lucy who cheers him up.
When she jumped the tower in the phantom arc she thought she heard Natsu and cries out for him. This agian is pointing towards Natsu and Lucy.
Finaly you got that small sidestory with Natsu bringing Lucy that tree cause she was sick (as in flowers?)

But then again now Lisanna is back and its (back to the drawingboard).

Natsu x Lisanna, they were just to cute together when they were young. I just prefer the pairing over the other two since like someone else pointed out, Erza just has to much (lingering?) feelings towards Gerard and Lucy denies the fact to much that she likes Natsu. While Lisanna and Natsu's feelings for each other were obvious enough for a person who was even three years away to ask how far they progressed.

I think personally hope... like Eiichiro oda ... hiro mashima will keep romance out of the fairy tail manga ... At least between guild members .. (oda has stated he doesn't want any romance between strawhat crew members.) .. I personally think it would mess up the dynamic ... I mean thier not just a guild .. they are a family ... and most people don't date thier family.
But more importantly .. it would dramatically change the overall point of the manga ... IF they HAVE to do that ... I hope hiro at least waits until the Very very end of the manga ..
I mean i hate to say it .. but the whole .. erza / gerard dynamic / sexual tension .. really screwed up the whole dynamic of the FT manga for me .. If natsu and lucy started acting all serious and lovey dovey around each other .. it would really botch things up in my opinion ..
And i'm against lisana and natsu simply because ... I don't want the group dynamic broken up ..

But if in the end .. lisana and natsu were together .. I'd have less complaints ..
Even though .. other people have compared natsu's and lucy's relationship to being like that of Natsu and lisana's ... so i might have doubts that natsu and lisana were ever in that kind of relationship at all in the first place ..

Natsu X Erza

Natsu is the only one that can sense her up to the smallest change in emotion that everybody fails to notice. it's like they are link together. Erza is a tsundere and if Natsu is kinda slow, unless natsu will open up...
They support each other and extinguish each others weakness

But one thing is, Lisana a new player in the house... so it will get more complicated

P.S. I may be bias since I don't like Gerard. and on he first sight of the manga, I already decided that Erza is best girl for Natsu and Natsu is the best guy for Erza.
