I usually don't post in these threads but....i found it funny that when Lissana comes back, Lucy is suddenly staring at Natsu in his sleep and finding him cute. Came out of nowhere sort of. First time the manga ever irritated me.

That said if i had to choose, Natsu and Lucy, (People said Leo but i think it's him and Aries). Erza and Gerard/Jellal/Seighart3 are pretty much set in stone. Grey will warm up eventually (no pun intended).

Yeah, I tend to stay from these threads too, however the whole GazillexLevi thing was actually mildly intriguing. At first I didn't think so, but after reading the latest chapter I said, Squuueeeeee!!! Ahem. Anyway I found that it was good character progression. I also like NatsuxErza. I think FT needs more of it.

the gazille-levi thing is interesting but I have a hard time imagining why levi would like gazille at all. I know girls like taking complements, specially when they involve things they take pride in and not just looks and whatnot, but would that justify such a change? We have seen two bits of interaction between those two with the first being the thing I already mentioned and the second being gazille making himself into her partner but I don't see how that would be enough. I mean, gazille quite literally beat the crap out of her for no reason. Levi is not that important a character to begin with but I am not sure I would like the idea of her being the type to go for the bad boy she has reason to believe is an entirely different person on the inside. Obviously it would work out her way because this is a manga but in a more normal scenario the whole thing about the bad boy who is broken on the inside and has to be fixed into a nice, wholesome, entirely new person is nothing but a gigantic load of crap which dumb women delude themselves into.

You have a lot of good points. One might say that Levy and Gazille are like Beauty and the Beast. She probably sees something in him that no one else can. More than likely she understands that Gazille is not a bad guy. Combine that with her forgiving nature and she could form a friendship. Yesterday's enemies are tomorrows friends and vice versa in some cases. As for them building a deeper relationship in such a short time, well I heard that Gazille is an old school mack from way back. One of the original playas, from the Himalayas.

I kid but anyway, it's shonen.

hmm saying its shonen wont do anything good. Each author has its own styl and isnt limited by anything. How Levy is in tears and gives him a Iron with a heart in it is kind of enough to say shes romanticaly atracted to her.

Yeah Mashima seems to enjoy including NatsuxLucy moments in the side chapters. The side chapters are considered canon right?

The only issue is where exactly you put them in the timeline. The fateful encounter one should take place 6 months from now based on the timeline given.

*If above doesn't happen then Lucy/Future DS or Lucy/Loki to a lesser extent. I have another crazy pairing on the bottom
*Erza/Gerrard (I'll assume that this will happen when Gerrard is freed or escapes when all hells breaks loose)
*Gray/Juvia-given


Less important
*Cowbpy/Cowgirl-given
*Gazille/Levi showing promise
*Happy/Charle given/very very very close to given

Out on a limb (very little if any evidence, barely a prediction so dont criticize tooo much)
*Cana/Guildarts/? (Is it 10-20 year age difference? assuming she's aspiring to be S-ranked to meet him or another s-rank from somewhere else?) Or it could be family related issues
*Elfman/Evergreen -just cause they teamed up
*Maryjane/Freed its even more doubtful unless freed appears more often which is doubtful, demon/darkness demon, their talk/promise after their battle
***Lucy/Zeref LOL, my out of no where you think I'm stupidly crazy prediction cause I'm just basing it off on how opposites attract/"past" love or love triangle?

the newest special was really just to cute, i think that was another proof how close Natsus and Lucys relationship is:>
and I have to say I don't like Lisanna, she is just annoying but I don't think that she could really disturb the "love" between Lucy and Natsu, I mean since she came back to the real world there wasn't any real coversation with a deep meaning between her and Natsu.
and don't you think its kind of interesting that Lucy's mom died on the the same day Igneel disappeared, that's another relation between Natsu and Lucy.
and if you take a look on Rave, then it's even more obvious that Lucy and Natsu end up like Haru and Ellie

Lucy's mother died the same year, not the same day.

Adding hearts on Levy's bandana in this chapters cover was a nice touch on Mashima's part , it seems that this pairing(Levy <3 Gajeel) has gotten more development in the last three chapters than any of the possible main character pairings (Natsu, Lucy and Gray) have had during the whole manga; with the only exception being Erza since Erza <3 Gerard was strongly implied as well.

7/7/777 is the day the dragons disappeared. However, Lucy's mother's gravestone does not specify what day she died, only what year.

I'm curious. Given this odd date, the dragons disappearing and all the homage to RAVE, has Overdrive been mentioned at all yet? I can't help but feel it's relevant somehow.

I actually always seemed to like Erza and Natsu. There's something irresistibly cute whenever they have a touching moment. However from their general relationship I don't think it's likely to happen.

Second would probably come the obvious NatsuxLucy pairing. I suppose I wouldn't mind it.
