Same here. However, I also liked the idea of Erza and Natsu as a couple. Mashima is really shipping this Gerard thing so hard it feels forced.

I dont get whats forced about it? Gerard gave her the name scarlet, he also remembered that word first of all things second he remembered natsu. Its not forced its the way it is. This is Mashimas ultimate tragic love romance.

If you want to class all the pairings so far you can see how each pairing that is canon fit in its own way.

ErzaxGerard is the tragic romance.

LevyxGajeel is more the black knight turn white knight.

ElfmanxEvergreen the constant arguing couple. Also the unlikely (OMG) couple, you got 1 of these in most manga.

JuviaxGray unrequited love or perhaps the worship love relation depending on Gray (this current chapter points more to the latter depending on what Gray will do next)

NatsuxLisanna is the childhood promise love, this is used a lot and is the most likely outcome in the end (sorry for all the NaLu fans)

BiscaxAlzack is the couple that never admits they are a couple, kinda the avoiding ones. Everyone knows they are together yet both wont admit.

NatsuxLucy is the difficult one here since were talking about both of them being the main characters, this one will depend on Lucy if she falls in love with Natsu for real or if it stays as friends. Thing is that all the nakama team stuff doesnt mean couple. It means nothing realy. Natsu could just as easly highfive Erza or Gray in regard to what some of you claim as proof.
However its still open and possible that they grow together, and there is also the possibility of rivalry between Lisanna and Lucy.

I see Erza and Gerald having a relationship and Levy and Gazgill (can't spell), maybe Elfman and Evergreen.
I really want NatsuxLucy a lot because i just love that pairing! I don't know, but hints are given from Lucy here and there about her little crush on Natsu. I wish we can see more though :C!!!

I really love the Natsu and Lucy pairing. I believe its the most adorable and cute pairing in the series and hopefully develop more as the main plot of Fairy tail finally blooms( hopefully the end of the current arc will show a bit of revelation). The omakes Mashima makes about Lucy and Natsu are undeniably sweet.

Lucy and Loke - It's obvious everytime he appears. When Lucy saved him, when he saved Lucy from Bickslow (Even Bickslow noticed and teased her later...), and when he saved her from capricorn...

I'm not sure why mirajane and laxus seems like they would make a good or cute couple in my head, I think i'm losing it or something. Their personalities are completely different but opposites attract sometimes.

I have been supporting the 'Natsu-Lucy pairing' since the beginning of the manga a long time ago. The author did give this duo an aura of 'might-be couple'.
But now, I don't know.. I'm not so sure anymore since Natsu's relationship has gotten mixed up with his other female guild members like Lisanna, Wendy and others that might have or not have any feelings for him. Huuuhh...

That aside, I have an interesting idea that Natsu might have blood relation with any of the female guild partners. Maybe even Lucy. He is a human after all. He might have been raised by Igneel the Red Dragon, but he may also have human relatives that he doesn't know.

(Distant relative to Lucy + Aged more than 80 years old = Grandpa Natsu!)

Well Natsu just tried to peek at all the girls in the hot springs while Lisanna wasn't there in chapter 261. Natsu/Lucy FTW!

No offense to Lucy/Loke fans but how do you see it? I mean sure there is teasing and blushing but Loke is a Steller Spirit. Just seems kinda weird to me lol.

Anyways Natsu/Lucy is what I'm hopeing for in the manga later on in the series. Nothing wrong with a little romance thrown in along with some comedy effect due to it during a break between arcs.

Gajeel/Levy is another one of my favorites.

Erza/Gerald, I love the tragic angle of this romance and plus Erza in her wedding dress was so beautiful. Her crying over Gerald really tugged at my heartstrings.

Porlyusica/Makarov Very unlikely since Makarov was already married at one point and he is so damn old.

Alzack/Briska Its already canon but it makes me happy that over the timeskip this pairing became true and they have a cute daughter because of it. Also Erza's reaction to it was hilarious and Briska isn't shy on sharing details before her husband stopped her.

Happy/Charle Ehh pretty much a given after Happy grows up and gets his own grown up Exceed form like Lily.

Gray/Juvia/Leon lol This one is hilarious. Gray doesn't care romantically much for anyone, Juvia loves Grey and Leon loves Juvia. This is what I mean by romance being used in a comedic fashion between arcs. Perfer Gray/Juvia but Leon/Juvia isn't bad either.

Also Juvia's relationship cycle is hilariously funny. I agree with some of it yet other parts I laugh. Natsu apparently loves Lucy and Lisanna while both of them love Grey along with Ultear.

Just too funny

You really think so Kuzumikyun? I would have agree with you before, but you know, 'childhood-friend' type of character tends to have the upper hand against 'partner-relationship' like Natsu and Lucy. Since Lisanna is back in Earthland, we might see more nostalgic chapters about their childhood.

Lisanna has been here for a few arcs now. Aint had no deep flashback yet. Although this author has been the most surprising Ive read a story by before, but NatsuxLucy is amongst the most likely pairings in the series so far.

Only losing out to GerardxErza, I dont get why they let each other go away again lol.
Then GajeelxLevy seem more likely. But thats about it.

Jellal x Erza is almost canon now after the latest chapter (264).
I would say that they are canon, since they did/almost did kiss each other. It's not that they don't love each other, it's more like they are trying not to.

Biska and Alzack is canon. They are marriaged and have a child -end-

Gajeel x Levy. I'm sure Levy haves a little crush on Gajeel.. that's almost canon too. Even lucy teased Levy about it. But i don't really think haves any feelings towards levy yet. but could happen. Im hoping. I hoped for this pairing from back when Gajeel protected levy from laxuas attack. So to see so many moments between them makes me happy

Lisanna x Natsu x Lucy: There is something between Lisanna and Natsu.. we just haven't seen it yet. I'm pretty sure Natsu had a crush on Lisanna when they were small, and the other way around. The Anime made even more into it.
Feelings between Natsu and Lucy might just be friends, but i'm pretty sure Lucy somehow soon will realize that she holds feelings towards Natsu. I mean come on, we all can see it! she just can't About Natsu, at first i would say he didn't like anybody because he was this kind of stupid shounen main character. But he lately have shown to be more human (and healty teenage-boy) like so he might get feelings for Lucy. Shes important for him, that's for sure. I personally like Lucy x Natsu the best, and i think they are more likely to end up together. Why? two reasons. Compared to Hiro Mashimas first manga, Rave Master, the two main characters ended up together. second? NaLu is popular. And Hiro Mashima is weak against fans.. he do way too much fanservice. If fans wants Nalu, fans will get Nalu.

Lucy x Loke. Those two are cute, but not realistic.. hes a stellar spirit mage at first. second, their moments together.. are always joke-like .. "My love for lucyy~~~" loke goes all the time. I can't see a future for them. But they are cute together.

Juvia x Gray: i WOULD have said the same here as Lucy x Loke, to much joke-love about them. However lately Juvia has shown that she is not only a Gray fangirl but that she actually DOES love him for real. I hope Gray maybe would start liking Juvia, but then Juvia kinda haves to stop being to gray fangirl like.. it would be weird for them to be a couple when shes all "GRAY-SAMAAA" all the time. Grow up Juvia!!!

Gray x Erza: I personally at one point thought Gray has a crush on Erza .. when they were small at least. Theyre pretty cute, but not likely to happen since Jellal x Erza and Gray x Juvia haves more fans (and jellal x erza is more canon) and again i believe Hiro Mashima is weak against fans opinions

is there more pairings i forgot about?.. Evergreen x Elfman? Maybe. that could be. there have been hints.

Hahaha... The fans are still rooting for the Natsu-Lucy pairing!
I guess Lisanna will have to be more proactive if she really have feelings for him (I doubt it though cause there's no strong evidence like Erza-Jellal)
Well, this is to be expected because we see Natsu and Lucy together so much, especially in the extra chapters (which I consider cannon). Mashima might pull something off with this pairings.
As for ErzaXJellal, it's as good as established that they're made for each other !
Elfman and Evergreen? Don't know yet... But I'm rooting for Gajeel and Levy too (let's get in the ship guys!)

Absolute rage!!

I guess the thing I hate so much about GajeelxLevy is that I don't really hate the idea. Yet at the same time, where's the love for Jet (screw Droy, he got fat).

It does seem kind of weird that they made Jet and Droy go off in such different directions, considering they were practically the same in part 1 (Levy love puppets).
Not to burst the GajeelxLevy train or anything, but how old is Gajeel anyway? He seems quite a bit older than Levy (not that that matters, I'm rooting for Jet, who's 7/8 years older now). Also, does Gajeel even see Levy in that way? Seems to me that he sees her in more a younger sister way. Hopefully Mashima will tie the loose ends up by the series end (I'd rather know for sure that GajeelxLevy happened than it being left in the air).

Also, why the hell do I care so much about subordinate characters!?!

One final thing, about NatsuxLisanna, I really can't remember any point in the manga where Natsu has expressed love interest in Lisanna. At the same time, he seems to just regard Lucy as a good friend, much like every other member in FT. Again, hopefully some light will be shed on this.
