I deleted my previous post to do a bit of an update.

I'll first tackle what I am currently playing. Which is a classic I do believe now. Thats, Chrono Cross. I have to say one for its time, story really out there and makes you wonder just what did happen with Crono and his crew before because.....well I wont say kind of a spoiler :P The battlesystem was as I knew/know it to be by far the most unique. It made you really have to think about your attacks, and just what risks you're willing to take with the % chance to hit. Also giving you a little more power to control that. Also all of the characters that you can pick up to your team. Personal favorite Serge(of course), Glen and Gryobic. :D

My favorites well in partial order.

Final Fantasy III(SNES)
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy Tactics
Breath of Fire II-IV
Super Mario RPG(SNES)
Earthbound 2(SNES)
Chrono Trigger/Cross
Secret of Mana
Suikioden
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (PC)
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords (PC)
Deus Ex
Deus Ex:Invisible Wars
Legend of Dragoon
Fable: The Lost Chapter (PC)

I only give particular games the specifics of the console since there are different makes of the games to other consoles and so on.

I truely miss the old days of rpg's, were the stories really grabbed your attention and you couldnt drop the controller for hours. Now, only a few rare games come about. But, its not many.

Super Mario RPG was a lot of fun. Especially the part where you fight a Final Fantasy type of character!

i liked Legend of the Dragoons, it took forever but it was a cool RPG, i'm currently playing FF12, taking like forever to beat it, Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic was a good one on PC. Fable for XBox, X-Men Legends I&II, i love RPG's

Indeeeed, they had alot of high points to it. I remember that though, definitely a nice throw in for the game.

Yea i'm with you on that one, not many are that good anymore, they just rely on graphics and not a storyline, which sucks

Actually the one on GBA is quite fun. It reminds me of the SNES one, just with an upgraded battle system, where you now control two players and so. If you liked the SNES one, you should definitely try the GBA (recommendation)![br]Posted on: December 09, 2006, 12:36:48 PM_________________________________________________Oh, did anyone try Golden Sun? It's one of the best rpgs out there. Believe me, it's really great. I've tried it only on GBA though. It might be a little bit weird the start, but believe me, it's worth every minute of your time.

Heh, a rare shared thought :P Most everyone is going for now a days the now RPG'ers dont pay real attention and think alot of RPG's are godly and yet its just a bright graphic fest.

Hmm, for the Mario RPG I think the battle system it had worked quite nicely and well messing with it just eh, doesnt seem right. But I'll try to find it and give it a try. Im always willing to give a game a good try.

I've gone into Golden Sun, i wouldnt say its one of the best out there. Its an interesting game, with an okay plot that you get to go through. Using the special techs to get through area's is creative and fun. But, again I wouldnt say its one of the best out there.

Yeah Golden Sun is realy great.

The first one was my favorite and the second was great to, they do not consentrate on better grafic but on a superb story line.

If you have not plyed it you should go and brush your teeth ^^

Legend of Dragoon is pretty cool, especially the battle system. I didn't like how weak your hits were if you messed up though. It was too big a penalty, even if all you missed was the last button.

Turning into Dragoons and destroying bosses was full as hell though!

That makes me think that the only ultimate secret boss I haven't defeated in all the RPGs I played is Freya in Star Ocean 3... I guess I'll do that till I get my copy of FFXII :noworry
