I don't get any of these theories. That's Link... and that's pretty much it.

They arose because of what Aonuma said originally. He wouldn't have felt the need to clarify his statement if it was obviously Link.

Link at some parts of Skyward Sword isn't wearing green either... nor every time he wears better equipment (and that's in almost every Zelda game).

I didn't quite get what he meant by open world before but if he is aiming for something like the old zeldas then it makes a lot of sense. It would be quite a complicated game though, a lot of random... I could work with that although I am not sure on to what extent they could get rid of a logical in game progression in a game of this scale. Its one thing when switching screens takes you 2 seconds and it is another when just getting around the world can take you well over an hour as was the case in other games. They could potentially give choices to the players but increasing the time you spend just randomly roaming is not a good thing. Technically older zelda games already cheat when they claim 20 hours of gameplay when a lot of that involves roaming around huge areas hoping you will find what you are looking for (I am looking at you wind waker. FUCK EVERY SINGLE HOUR you spend roaming around that STUPID ocean).

Wind Waker wasn't too bad (I played the HD version), but yeah the overworld was rather huge, and I wished there were more dungeons, but what can you do?
For the new Zelda, I imagine a huge open world like Wind Waker, but on land.
Just my take on it.

Well, roaming is always fun.... at first. I mean, when I just got epona at twilight princess I enjoyed traveling by horse and all that but that gets old really fast. If I had had to use the horse to go everywhere then I wouldn't have enjoyed the game as much, it would have been absurd. In WW you had the tornadoes and stuff but they only carried you so far, there were plenty of situations where you had to take a tornado and you still had to travel 10 squares after that (I AM LOOKING AT YOU QUEST FOR THE TRIFORCE OF COURAGE. They should have had the decency of calling it the triforce of tedious or patience or something). Or perhaps even more slightly annoying was that for some locations it was impossible to get the angle of the wing just right and you couldn't go there at top speed. And you always had to play the songs to change the wind... Now, in other zelda games you couldn't just teleport everywhere and you still had to roam a bit to actually get places from the portals and whatnot but it was never anywhere near as tedious as with WW. Even SS succeeded in being less tedius somehow considering the main traveling way was via mutant Japanese bird and you had to fly to every portal every time.

Hyrule will have a new character named Lana, who is a White Witch (she's is the other girl on the game cover). She uses a magic book to summon barriers though they can damage her if they are destroyed.

Agitha's weapon is a parasol and she can also summon bugs.

Nice to see a game where women outnumber men, but it would still be nice with a bit more balance.
I mean, you can only keep Tingle in a prison for so long...
I would like to see a Sage from say OOT getting into the roster, or Tetra, but Agitha? Agitha?! Ok, she is one of few who can stand being stalked by a wolf, but that isn't a good qualification. Whatever, she'll will be awesome with her... bug powers?
LoZ got strange characters. Very strange, disturbing characters.

Based on Lana's description, I wonder if that is Cia's "good side". Maybe Cia, upon realizing that something was corrupting her mind, cast out her good side out before she became evil thus creating Lana. Just a thought...

Well, I didn't really expect for Agitha to become a playable character, but I think that she might be interesting to use her.
I must say that they're doing a great work with this game and I do hope that they will do the same with the other Zelda game.

Not that I mind, but other than Link, Ganondorf and the humanoid Volvagia, there doesn't seem to be a great male roster.
Either way, Nala's and Agithas' movesets are pretty awesome and the graphic really is astonishing.
I can't wait to play this game.

Fi is a playable character. Ghirahim and The Imprisoned will also make appearances in Hyrule Warriors too.

I bet one of the DLC costumes for Link and Zelda will be their SS clothing.

True... maybe it is because most supporting characters are female? We rarely see any male supporting characters at all in most games. There were a couple in twilight princess but that is about it. Seriously though, we need characters from other races. How can a game with such a variety of characters not have a goron and a zora at least?
