There are absolutely zero ways to wrap the story up in a way that would satisfy me in 2 chapters. Fans are saying that he will probably continue with the world, but just not Kaneki and friends, but I am really not interested in the world as much as the story that has already been started and seems to be really prematurely ending.

The manga could continue but with another name, still focusing on the characters we know. But it's really too sudden, especially when the state of the main characters of both sides is ambiguous, it is unlikely that this end will be satisfying.

Yeah it is possible they are doing some weird sequel thing sort of like Naruto Shippuden (Which I believe was just anime?) where there is a slight time gap and maybe a slightly different focus, but still the same characters. Maybe that is me being optimistic though? lol

"We're in V14. No ghoul can pass through here. You can't go any further than V14." Arima is so OP and epic that he nearly broke the fourth wall to tell us that the manga couldn't go past V14. And I read on another site about how Chapter 72 was called Halfway. It clearly wasn't cancelled, this was planned all along which is partly why it is such an awesome series from start to finish. I'm a HUGE Magi fan, and I think that's why that series is so good. The mangaka knows how far along in the story she is, and everything is so complicated yet always comes together. Neither are the types of series that get stretched endlessly for the hell of it.

We don't know for sure that this is absolute end though, but if it is I'll be sad and disappointed that it is over, but not mad or anything with the author. Sure there are lots of questions to ask still, but it is what it is. The quality never dipped so I'm fine with it.

That last page is wonderful. I'm quite sure there would be a sequel, this chapter left us with more questions rather than wrapping the story up.

I just read the newest chapter and yeah, I think there has to be a sequel of some sort. I feel like this chapter is pretty actively setting it up actually. Maybe that is me being optimistic. I do hope Kaneki is a part of it, of course even if he isn't the absolute main character anymore.

Well that ending was a bit anti-climatic, but I'm sure it was intentional and the author wasn't rushed to finish the series. A sequel would be great. It also looks like the anime is rushing right through the Aoigiri Tree arc. Kinda makes me wonder what's the last episode is going to be.

yeah i doubt someone as scrupulous as ishida-sensei would end the series like this; the latest chapters had the construction of a set-up. so yeah, i'm calling there's gonna be a sequel. also the hidden 'see you next', final words, meanigs of tarot cards, all intertwined reads as 'CONTINUATION'. sensei is a troll. and they probably need a break as well... being a mangaka is hell after all, isn't it? i just hope they won't get discouraged because of all the hate... be strong, ishida sui-sensei <3
so... looks like it's the end of the tragic part. the next part... i wish it to be victorious. but. well, even my strong belief in a follow-up of tokyo ghoul coming is just my imagination and thirsty heart, so... i better stop thinking about that. ha ha

Somebody please tell me when the next manga would be out!, and whatsup with a new plot at the end, some lazy ass group calling emself ...eaters whilst partying.and from my angle of view,kaneku kahurouo would be implanted on amon,cause I got an hunch that amon was taken by the agori tree

Kaneki is Arima's new partner Amon will get someone else's kakuhou.

argh!!! I so totally Binge'd the hell outta Tokoyo Ghoul After Watching the Anime for about 1week juss so happened Ep12 was the last episode until Jan...So after I finished Abusing the hell out the anime and being a total fiend I sought out the manga...

Learning the manga is a bit different not entirely much but it does offer a lot more info on the Ghouls themselves and the CCG. But What the hell does ISHIDA 's response even mean..Cause to me it reads the last chapter was leaked so not everyone has got to experienced the ending so he won't elaborate on it but I still feel like another Manga gets cut by the publisher and the author is forced to come up with some kind of ending.

Idk I can sort of live with Tokoyo Ghoul's ending given its genre and magazine it was featured. But The fans deserve a closed plot especially one left so very vastly opened..I'm not a big fan on open ended stories not one that doesn't provide a little bit closure of at least the main issues gong on
