• You can pick openings & endings of any anime that you like (series or movie, or Ova) but western animation are not allowed. However tracks in other languages are allowed.
• You can choose any anime opening or ending that was released after January 2020 up to the current season (Spring 2024)
• It is up to you how you define what is a best intro/outro to you. Choose your top 10 anime openings/endings based on your personal criteria — whether it's creativity, visuals, music, or a mix of everything. Your submission can even include tracks from an anime that you've never watched. And whether you like, love or hate the anime or not is irrelevant for your list.
• Honorable mentions are allowed.
• As long as deadline is not reached, you can change your list as much as you want.
• Please, rank your top following the usual format :

1 - 10 pts
2- 9 pts
3- 8pts
4- 7pts
etc.
10- 1pts

To avoid recency bias, opening of last 2 years are not allowed. You can choose any anime openings that was released up to January 2022.

I'm evaluating the openings more on musical quality than anything else Have given short and full versions a listen as part of my thorough evaluations

Thats one side of it for me, but for an opening to be truly spectacular for me, listenability is huge. Thats why I'm also taking the time to just listen to all of the ones on my shortlist and determine what I vibe with most musically. Then can go back and compare with visuals to see what hits, but I think the music is the major player here

It didnt change a lot to me, as my faves are mostly old school or just older openings. but maybe ranking changed and i have plenty HM. Some of the last years new openings are great, there is like 6/7years since last round, it's a lot of animes.

You can still nominate up to winter 2022, my most recent pick is from January 2022 and I consider it a masterpiece, pretty sure you think of this one. Only last 2 years are not allowed, but 2022 is still recent.

For countdown, I ll be using the anime version (if available) but you can choose any of the full or Tv size, if you prefer. just feel free to leave a comment.
As for criteria, I personnaly took into account both music and visuals/atmosphere, other bias like nostalgia too. every one is free to choose according to their preferences.

Hms are allowed , you can add as many as you wish, but if possible, rank them so if i need to cut them I cut the less favorites. Usually I keep any shared HM, I m trying to keep as much as I can, I only remove occasionnally, some unranked if there are really too many.

Ah, the one I had in mind first is from June/July 2022 I think. Good to know that is still fine.

I tend to always like more the anime cut version, so focusing on that makes the listing easier for sure.
