I might add that I looked into the Urabanashi book. It contains a very long interview of Nakaba about the backstory of the manga, and the Q/As we already saw during the serialization.

So nanashi is like the metatron of the series or something like he also seems to have 4 wings. and maybe he was an former horsemen of apocalypse!? Who knows but seems the sequel would be focusing on the goddess since even the arthurian lore has that Holy Grail stuff and all. And No i don't think he's any fallen Archangel or anything

Yes, I thought he looked a lot like him too. But it might just be Nakaba's problem with the designs.

Spice ass theory - both ryudo and nanashi are one essence and goddess are mostly essence people

Now that I think about it, you know those scribbles Nakaba gave us from the sequel and there's Mael reaching out saying "so you are the owner of my grace now". That is probably reincarnated Derriere or Monspiet, Mael was too happy and acted too familiar and he did say Mons and Derr will revive.

Well, this is interesting. Normally, the extras tend to be really uninteresting, but this one caught my attention. Judging by the number of wings he seems to be a former High-Ranked Goddess (maybe even a former AA). Come to think of it, we never saw what Nanashi was really capable of in battle. The only thing we saw was him one-shotting a Gray Demon if I recall well. All of his fights were effortless wins. Dunno, knowing this, it feels like he was quite underused in the story, to say the least (just like the whole Goddess Clan). Hopefully, he has his relevance in the sequel. This makes a part of me be more interested in the sequel, but the other part still doesn't know what to expect judging by the quality Nakaba delivered in the last two arcs of the series.
