I don't recall a manga crossover, no.

I don't think it going to be a "Big 3" cover, I think Naruto going to get cover.
Yeah, it looks more like the news source is uncertain about which series will actually be on the cover. Considering it is Naruto's 12th anniversary and getting color pages, I have to agree that it will be Naruto.

Reports of Bleach's demise were greatly exaggerated. In retrospect it is dead obvious that fans were punishing Kubo for an eight month training arc and writing out all of the most popular characters. As soon as the fights started and the shinigami came back the polls shot back up to normal position. Not even worth discussing Bleach's non-existent "decline". Clearly it was very specific to plot developments that are now moot.

The recent decline was the first time the fans ever punished Kubo for that long, and it has some negative consequences for Bleach on a long term basis. It means that Bleach's fanbase is a lot more fickle than One Piece's or Naruto's. If Kubo does one misstep, the fans will stop voting for Bleach. One Piece and Naruto remain in the top five even with their worst chapters, so it's still a bad sign for Bleach. Even if it's back to scratch for the time being.

Don't forget that it goes both ways. This just means that Kubo has figured out how to stay on the line. If he does have a misstep, he can just as easily fix it with what he has probably learned from this.

You know guys, this just show us that some mangas NEED their cool characters to stay on top.. Scratch that, not only did BLEACH not stay on top but managed to be on the very last levels of the ToC. Then there are other mangas that sure, could get lower in the rankings but don't completely fall when some of the main or fan-favorite characters don't appear in some arcs.
Example: Dragon Ball, ONE PIECE, Hunter X Hunter and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Dragon Ball
with it constantly moving main characters although always keeping Goku as main character (Well, Toriyama tried to change it in Cell Saga, but that didn't quite work, as its obvious Japanese didn't like the change that much look at all WSJ DB covers of Cell arc and Goku is on all of them, not Gohan but Goku.)

ONE PIECE
War arc, the beloved Straw Hats weren't there, sure some other fan-favorite characters were on the arc but still for some 1 or so years the SH were separated.

Hunter X Hunter
It still amazes me how Togashi hasn't bringed Kurapika or Leorio after all these years, sure they AREN'T needed per see, but a single shot of them would be a nice fan-service, especially considering how much years this arc has been running.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Pretty self-explaining, the whole point of this manga is that generations of a family battle against a common evil, so characters change in each arc.

are you sure this is the truth?
i mean, chapter 513 is the last chapter where all the Strawhat crew members were seen in the chapter, and after that, starting from chapter 514(2nd or 3rd week of September 2008) up until if I'm not mistaken chapter 591(2nd week of July 2010), only Luffy were present in the manga (not counting cover page story). One Piece is still on top of TOC. only on war chapters One Piece had problem staying at the tops if i'm not mistaken. but most of the time still at the top. don't really suffer and most of the time were beaten by Naruto and some time Bakuman/Toriko IIRC. and you know Naruto always at the top of TOC challenging One Piece for the top spot. but maybe I was wrong..

This was fast O_O

Pure rankings for Issue #44:

01. One Piece (c634)
02. Toriko (c152)
03. Sket Dance (c196)

04. Reborn! (c347)
05. Medaka Box (c109)
06. Gintama (c364)
07. Bleach (c459)
08. Bakuman (c143)
09. Beelzebub (c119)
10. Magico (c22)
11. ST&RS (c06)
12. Kuroko no Basket (c128)
13. Enigma (c44)

4 weeks till ranked: Kurogane

Kochikame, HunterxHunter not considered ranked
One Piece (c633) is on a break and thus not ranked
Naruto (c550), Nurarihyon no Mago (c165), Harisugawa in Mirror world (c05) not ranked due to having a Color Page
Jitsuryoku-ha Elite is a Oneshoot and thus not ranked
Inumaru Dashi (c142) seems to be absent

-------------------------------

- Toriko felt threatened by Bleach and decided to eat its way up
- go Reborn!
- BLEACH's return to glory will take more time than we thought a week ago...
- sad to see Bakuman just above bottom 5 but it is understandable
- Beezlebub is threatened to become a resident of Bottom 5
- Magico and ST&RS have rose up a little bit, but Enigma on the other hand...

Rather interesting TOC.Bleach fell a bit again.Wasn't this the chapter where the Shinigami came back?
St&rs recovered a bit,which is a relief.

According to previous comments on last year, I don't think cancellation will happen any time soon, so I'm not afraid for Enigma, Magico or STRS. I'm surprised at Kuroko dropping so low after an anime announcement though. I'm surprised at Medaka going waaaaaay up there though...!

It's getting another colour too...

Depends on how you count. Either 467-8=459 or 467(1), 466(2), 465(3), 464(4), 463(5), 462(6), 461(7) and 460(8). I’m myself a little confused about that. So It’s either Rukia comes back and Ichigo gets his powers back (459) or the Shinigami return (460). Either way this ranking is really interesting.

This ToC is really interesting. ST&RS might have actually SOME life left in it. Enigma’s death is even more apparent. Toriko gets back into TOP3 and Sket Dance into TOP5. Kuroko right after its anime announcement in the bottom and doesn’t get a color page the next issue (SHOCK!) and of course Bleach’s fall after last week is the most interesting bit of news.

According to Shueisha's 2011 Media Guide, the audience has become older.
Now I wonder if the simple fanservice isn't enough anymore fot that new audience.

Darn it Enigma stop playing with my emotions like this. At least there probably won;t be a cancellation round from the looks of things, and St&rs is still in worse shape considering it;s still in the bottom 3.

But enough of the doom and gloom, Medaka's in the TOP 5!!!!!! I don't think that's ever happened. Guess it shows that it really has come a long way from before, and hopefully the next color page will have more info on the anime.

Pretty decent TOC in some ways, but crappy because of other reasons.

One Piece and Toriko at the top is great!

Reborn on fourth isn't really deserved, but at least it has gotten quite much better.

Bleach's fall again is very good, considering what happened in the chapter.

Bakuman has fallen quite a bit since when it took first places. But I guess there's time for a new arc now, and probably it will be new and refreshing, compared to the latest two arcs.

Bottom 5 is not good at all. I don't wanna see anyone of them go, as they're all manga I enjoy.

That top 3 is absolutely perfect in my book. Toriko and Sket Dance taking 2 and 3 respectively is something that could only be topped for me if Medaka miraculously makes it up there one day. Speaking of which, Medaka Box in the top 5 with another color next week! The trials and tribulations we went through in the manga's first year of serialization are paying off big time right now.

Bakuman is still low but hey that is pretty deserved right about now. As far as I'm concerned the series has basically been in its second dork age after PCP wasn't going to become an anime. The first dork age being the Tanto phase.

I'm kind of shocked Kuroko crashed so much but it has had that fluctuation going on plenty of times in its life so far. Magico managed to climb up a bit and maybe has bought itself some extra time...maybe. Pretty horrible spot for Enigma to be last. ST&RS rising up a few spots isn't doing it any favors either.

Nurarihyon no Mago (#1~18): 10,000,000
Kuroko no Basket (#1~14): 5,000,000
Medaka Box (#1~12): 3,000,000
I'm glad we finally got some numbers for Medaka. Those numbers are slightly higher than I was anticipating it to be. Hopefully when the anime airs it manages to increase by a fair amount.
