Well this will be probably be the last week MHA 14 will be in the top 50. It was a good run while it lasted.

Also listened to Viz's SDCC panel, and the Kimetsu license announcement got no applause(at least from what I could hear). I saw it coming... but a part of me still died.

Heroaca will most likely fall from the top 50 after this week, and probably has already fallen as POS daily rankings already show it outside of the top 50. It can possibly come back up again after this week's episode as the staff are hyping it to be goose-bump inducing like episode 10 was but 8 weeks is definitely a good new record.

Neverland is also showing that its the biggest hit since Heroaca, completely overtaking Black Clover at volume 4. It still falls short of Heroaca back during the same volume releases but its shaping up to be a good seller. Soma on the other hand continues to fall. Its actually really interesting to see the huge gap between Soma and Haikyuu despite both being released in the same year, with 40 issues in between. Haikyuu is already at 21 million as of last February whereas Soma is only at 13 million despite there only being a 1 volume difference in release. This isn't really a small number as the majority of manga barely get to 10 million in their lifetimes but Jump is an exception. Neverland at volume 4 is already past 1 million copies in print. Jump is pretty much the only magazine that can consistently get these kinds of numbers.

I think an neverland anime before 150 chps would be bad, we dont even know the actual history of the world or have a plot beyond survive and escape. Actually the whole manga at this point would barely fit a 1hr45min movie.

From what I've heard about Neverland from other people the series would fit better being an animated movie, or a series of animated movies,rather than a weekly anime once it reaches a good amount of chapters as of my understanding of the series there isn't enough content to even fill up a 12 episode season anyway.

Who says the anime needs to be this year? There's no reason to make it a movie. The real boost and mainstream appeal lays in TV anime.

We barely knew the history of the world in Attack on Titan (in fact, we're learning it now) and thanks to the anime the manga has been the 2nd best-selling series for the past 4 years. If the content available is well adapted there's no problem.

The anime will probably be announced next year. Most of Jump manga ge it around the 2nd anniversary.

If played correctly, up till chapter 37 it would be an ideal 12/13 episode anime, I would never wish for it to be an ongoing but 1 cour a year or Haikyuu paced anime could work out. A movie would be condensing it not neccesarily in a good manner. I also don't expect nor want the anime or any anime of a weekly series to happen before 100 chapters as the understanding of where we are in the story is lacking.

I think shingeki plot covers more story than what neverland has covered though, you really think what happened in the first portion of neverland is really as hype intense and compelling enough for storytelling and drama to not only provide satisfying episode content but launch the series to new heights? I cant imagine people really wanting to see kids running around a house and the plot against Mom dragged out for 10-12 episodes. I can already hear the complaints of neverland anime being "too slow, drags the story too much, never takes off."

Shingekis "Arcs" at least told gripping enough and well paced stories to last 26 episodes. Though SHingeki did run into problems later in the anime where it felt like the writers were dragging their feet around to fill up some of the episodes.
