When I think of a short series with a full run in jump, I think of Death Note. So I don't think Neverland will be nearly as short as Death Note. However, I also don't think it'll be super long either. I'm think around Assassination Classroom length.
Well, time will tell.

I really hope Kimetsu gets a 2 cour s1 as well, a 1 cour would probably finish after Drum House which I feel like a lot of people weren't too keen on (especially compared to the spider arc, pillar meeting, then the training stuff after it).

Current arc will probably make a decent ending point for a 2 cour series once its done, I expect we'll see another Muzan chapter at the end it introducing one or two of the upper 6 moons (meaning it can end on a bunch of hype for future stuff) and it'll likely finish in the early 60s which is pretty standard pacing for wsj anime.

We haven't heard anything about Black Clover's anime length yet have we? It'd probably work best as a long runner and it's by Pierrot so there's a good chance of it getting one but I haven't even seen some rumours yet (I suppose they're probably not going to surface until the air date is announce).
Incoming autism:

Ep 1-3: Prologue, Training, Exam
Ep 4: Muzan introduction
Ep 5-7: Handballs
Ep 8-10: Drum House
Ep 11-15: Spider arc
Ep 16: Pillar meeting
Ep 17-19: Butterfly Estate
Ep 20: Lower Demons introduction & Departure
Ep 21-26?: Train arc

Or make it slower paced and end the second cour at chapter 53

Ep 1-4: Prologue, Training, Exam
Ep 5: Muzan introduction
Ep 6-8: Handballs
Ep 10-12: Drum House
Ep 13: Recap
Ep 14-19: Spider arc
Ep 20: Pillar meeting
Ep 21-23: Butterfly Estate
Ep 24: Lower Demons introduction & Departure

You're forgetting the 3 chapter long swamp of abduction bit between the exam and going to see Muzan (plus there's also the chapter after the exam of him getting the sword).

Also 3 episodes would be a bit too fast for the first 8 chapters, the prologue would probably be 2 episodes on it's own. I'm thinking more like

ep 1-2 prologue
ep 3 training
ep 4 exam
ep 5 going home for his sword and starting swamp of abduction
ep 6 finishing swamp of abduction and confronting Muzan
7-8 handballs (it was only 5 chapters)
9-11 drum house
12-17 spiders
18 pillars
19-20 butterfly
21 lower moons
and the train stuff being the last 3-4 eps depending on how long it lasts

Chapter 1~14 could be easily 7 episodes if they make it as slow as possible but I think it's not a good idea

It's likely I'd think. It's rare for Jump series to even get single cour first seasons. The only examples I could find going back to the 80s are:
MHA in 2016
Medaka Box in 2012
Level E in 2011 (Only 3 volumes and the series ended in 1997)
Hatsukoi Limited in 2009 (Also only 3 volumes)
Ichigo 100% in 2005
DNA² (Only 5 volumes) in 1994

So MHA, Medaka and Ichigo are the only real examples. Granted the industry is different now and it's much more likely to happen so who knows. I'm not entirely sure how the anime industry works and if Shueisha has any say in this stuff, but after what happened with MHA you'd think they would want to avoid that at all costs.

It was weird in itself for MHA to even get it. I can somewhat understand it because MHA has a fairly big arc early on (USJ) which is rare for their series. Yaiba doesn't really have an arc like that, so a single cour wouldn't cover anything of interest. I think we can expect a 2 cour to cover at least the spider arc as that's where the manga has gained the most traction. Same with Neverland. They're not going to do 1 cour because it wouldn't cover anything and there's nowhere they could place a satisfactory ending.
I hope you're right but as anime is now I'm noticing more 1 cour's than 2 nowadays. It has to adapt the spider family arc within it's first season, that is a must for me.

Same, I'm not 100% how the industry works. If Madhouse picks it up then I'm worried they'll just do 1 cour or even MAPPA. That's why I'm hoping for Sunrise or production IG to animate KnY.

I'm guessing that it has to do with either: low viewership, financial losses, or unfavourable critical reviews. I have no way of knowing if it is true or not but that's just my guess on the reason certain things only get 1 cour rather than 2+ nowadays. I also heard once that (and this is only for american shows but I'm going to assume it maybe true in Japan also) that a show should do at least 15% at most 30% more in both estimated ratings and sales to be eligible for a renewal.

I doubt Sunrise or Production IG would adapt Kimetsu. Sunrise is a studio that constantly attempts to make shows that can be big franchise sellers (Gintama, Gundam, Gintama), and Production IG doesn't seem like they would do it either. The best studio for Kimetsu would be Bones in my opinion considering how well they made Mob Psycho 100 look great while still sticking to the original art style.

Toei should animates Kitmetsu if it wants to have a chance of breaking 300k/volume.

How popular was Gintama prior to the anime? Inu Yasha is pretty similar to Kimetsu No Yaiba so I don't see why it's unlikely. Production IG could take a shot.

The only studios that can be unlikely would be Toei tbh. I'm iffy on Bones, they can mess up adaptations at times.

Never. They fucked up the Toriko adaptation so no way they can do KnY.

I'd like them to focus on JoJo. :P It would be cool tho

There's no way that Kimetsu can be more gorey than Toriko... But If it receives an anime adaptation they will censor like hell as well.

Not in the mood to start another "Toei screwed up Toriko's adaption". If you look inside this thread you will see it being brought up times to times.

I'll make it short, 147 episodes, LONG RUNNING for 3 years. Manga sales increase by 3 times. Merchandise sales. Maybe they did screwed up the adaption, but it was profitable for them to run the anime for 3 years.

As I said above, if KnY wants to break 300k then Toei is its best bet. I was also going to say Studio Clown but I remember/and someone will bring up Twin Star Exorcist.

Toriko was considerably more gory than Yaiba, the only problem is how disturbing Yaiba is in comparison with the demons ect. You cant really censor that, unlike the gore. Bones seem to handle quirky stuff well so Id like them, but its unlikey they will pick up another Jump title which could possibly be long-term when theyve got MHA to worry about. Madhouse really do seem like theyd suite the series, but Im conflicted on whether I actually want them to do it.

Did someone say TSE? :s

You think so much on overhyped studios. What about JC Staff, XEBEC, or other not popular but competent studio to do it? Not every jump series needs to be handled by AAA studios. And not all AAA studios are capable of boosting the sales of a jump manga. I don´t care much about who´s gonna animate Yaiba, as long as it is good.

I think Bones would be a good suit for it. However, as was mentioned, I don't see them taking on another WSJ series as long as their doing MHA. Especially considering it's their first ever WSJ adaptation.

Does anyone know why it is rare for manga publishers(not just Shueisha) to provide worldwide sales for manga series. Is it because the sales from outside Japan are too insignificant or is there another reason because even big hits like Naruto for example did not get concrete worldwide sales till 2014 after concluding and the sales were definitely significant i.e. from 130 million in Japan to over 200 million worldwide. I personally don't believe it could solemnly be due to insignificant sales if even Naruto took 15 years for us to get concrete worldwide numbers.

specific print and sales numbers are a lot harder to get overseas. I think there's some kind of legal requirement of shops and publishers to provide the numbers which is a law that doesn't exist most places. That's why you know exactly how much manga volumes, games, bds, etc sell or print in Japan but rarely see anything elsewhere unless it's a big milestone number.

I'm not entirely sure though, it could just be a rumour and it's really all just traditional or something.

No one doubt it was a success, aside from a few people. I refuse to call that Toriko anime, a representation of the manga. It's no where near passable.

The anime couldn't even capture the narrative style of the manga which used a lot of narrations to explain concepts and narrate over the creatures. A good chunk of world building was cut off and most of the gags too. Some useless bitch Tina was introduced so this was all accepted since it was a success? So yea Toriko had a lot more greater issues than just censorship, although Toriko suffered extreme censorship till near the end. Even after that it was still awful. They butchered the best arc in the series too.

Anyways, yeah Toriko is more gory than KnY but Toriko can be a lot more light hearted than KnY. So if they couldn't capture the serious tones in Toriko, then no way they could do KnY.

Doesn't matter how successful Toei can make it, if it's not enjoyable to watch then I wouldn't want it.

"Studio Clown" would've done a better job than Toei.
