Idk if this is the appropriate place to ask. But about the One Piece 20th Anniversary East Blue special.
Is it suppose to be similar to the Dressrosa special that was like 2 hours?
It's supposed to re-animate the first saga. It might be like the Episode of Nami recap from a few years ago.

That's an interesting question made to Tsukuda Yuto-sensei and kinda makes the theory that the manga is ending soon crumble.

I still think it'll end in like 2 years anyway.

Apparently he got asked this...
Question:
How did Food Wars start?
Answer:
It started with Saeki-senses. "what if we had a girl who experiences eating food... with ecstasy?"

....

I bet he saw Toriko and thought that with girls it would be even better and he was right. hahaha
And I don't accept any complain from Yuragi fans. Did you see the Lead CP this week? The cover was surprisingly modest, but hidden from the looks of passerby Miura Tadahiro went all out! XD

And when this happens I bet it'll be the highest ranked chapter. It pains me that Dr. Stone is above WNL :(
Thank you for this :D. I'm sure leo feels the same way.

They really need to stop milking this. If anything, remake the anime from scratch without all the fillers, if you want the newer generations to be into the franchise.

It has been 22 years since Dragon Ball ended and they haven't stopped to milk it yet so lose your hopes about stopping milking Naruto right now.

Toei Animation has a different politic than Studio Pierrot in their treatmen of series. And that is why Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya, Digimon, Mazinger Z, Tiger Mask, Gegege no Kitaro, Dr. Slump, Sally the Witch, The Secret of Akko-chan and others are or were "milked" for a long time.
What other series did Studio Pierrot "milked" for sometime? The only that I can remember is Osomatsu-san.

Still, is possible that this time Studio Pierrot decides to be similar to Toei.

I'm surprised Toei didn't milk Dr.Slump yet. After watching this...it's #1

Dr.Slump had a best audience TV rating of 36.9% and average audience TV rating of 22.8%. Holy. Also, Dr.Slump got an enormous boost in copies in print with it's 6th volume release. It was at like ~18 million copies in print by volume 6. Kinda wish Toei would reboot Kinnikuman as well.

I'm glad that they didn't but Pierrot could've milked YYH too.

Have they ever had something like Naruto in their hands? Nope.

Different times back then, I doubt Dr. Slump would share the same success if they were to continue it ala DBS since its appeal its limited to the people who grew up with it in the 80's than now also its not like Toei stopped milking Dr. Slump given the new short films they've made for it and Arale's cameo appearances in DBS. But yeah it is quite amazing how successful Dr. Slump was despite the fact that it was only 18 volumes and got completely eclipsed by Dragonball shortly after.

YYH got milked enough between the movies, drama cds, characters songs and ovas. I would absolutely hate for them to remake it since the anime was a significant improvement over the manga and they would probably make the same mistake as the Sailor Moon Crystal and try to be faithful to the manga.

Haters gonna hate this week ESJ cover, but that's all right, the love wins in the end. :^_^
I don't know how ESJ works in terms of gauging the series popularity, but we can say that a cover so soon means that it is making success here in the Occident?

They did and are still doing. Dr. Slump got a remake, the anime that aired before One Piece was Dr. Slump remake(not Dragon Ball like some people think). It ran for basically 2 years. Dr. Slump still has a ton of events(I assume life actions) in Japan and is normally year after year, semester after semester one of the most profitable events made by Toei Animation.

Kinnikuman got the Nisei series!
