Kinda dumb, but was there ever any specific reason why Toriyama went with calling his arcs "sagas"? Like how we know them as Cell saga or Android saga? Video games like Budokai and Tenkaichi used saga over arc too.

Pretty certain that was a Funimation thing. They did the same thing with Yu Yu Hakusho.

Summertime Render by Yasuki Tanaka (Kagijin and Catoblepas mangaka, both Horikoshi and Hirofumi Neda used to be his assistants) started today

so far it's just Battle Royale with awkward fanservice

I'm willing to bet he will flop again

I remember that author while I thought his stories are serviceable the biggest gripe I have with his art is that all the characters all have stiff expressions. It's difficult to emphasize with the characters if they display limited emotional range.

it's been 17 days since the last Jump Comics volumes were released so why is Arc V chibi spinoff doing so well?

yesterday it was in 200ish place in daily sales, (this is what normal looks like) today it's behind fucking Haikyuu!?

it's ahead of the main Arc V manga and ahead of all the titles WSJ manga that were released with it (hq not included)

and it's ahead of WSS, WSM, WSC, Young Jump, Ura Sunday etc titles that were released after it

WTF? is this a Japanese meme manga? so suspicious....

It's most likely that kids are buying it now that its the weekend. In general, people that may not have time to buy on weekdays due to other obligations tend to buy on weekends. That's why Haikyuu also rose a little in the rankings, though its just 14th to 11th. Heroaca also went from around 98th place on friday to 64th place on Saturday. It also ranked quite high on Bunkyodo's real-time ranking for Sunday so it might be in the top 50 on Sunday. Backlog volumes also rose a little bit on Saturday. Black Clover also rises higher on the weekend.

RxL #1 still on the top 200, doing better than Dr.Stone older volumes, probaly sold around 100k, Neverland older volumes showing up in the top 100-200 too, this is really becoming popular, even without an anime.

By the way, the last chapter was more exposition dump. C'mon, Shirai.

The Promsied Neverland really has a problem of making everything longer than it should. To reach the new destination is going to take years, to come back, another year. Urgh...

Because it was a wasteland! If they did take more time than they did, it would be ridiculous.

So then the series doesn't make everything longer than it should
Are you pretending ignorance? The first part of the series took longer than it should, then there was the wasteland and now this hideout part that is also taking long, but it is more boring than the first part so it has been really troublesome to read every week. I hope this new development makes the series more interesting with some good meetings, fights, deaths.

I was critical of the series because of what you're now saying, they didn't start their plans to escape the farm for 20+ chapters. Ever since they escaped it's just been nothing but good world building and plot progression. Not sure what you're talking about

Well, they should do this while DOING SOMETHING. The first part was an example of this, it was better handled, there were mental battles along with the explanations and all that, but now... Anyway, the score of the series is dropping for me, I hope it gets better.
