I guess WNL was the breakout hit of last year especially if theyre choosing to do an anime this early and I doubt its just to obe up Gotoubun's announcement.
Bokuben is also easier to adapt (compared to Dr. Stone) since it is really episodic and from memory, even the longest "arc" can be done in a single episode

This things took time, and with the two announcements being so close, I think it really is just a coincidence.

Dont know if fake or not but 12/08 some guy post this tocs on 5ch :

And he said We never learn will get big news in #39. So its true tocs or guy write a fake but get right for we never learn ?
The WNL is really easy to guess at the moment since I think we knew about the WNL cover since August 9(?), so it might be just luck/logic, I think we can wait a little longer for more confirmation

Yeah, WNL is the more likely. Dr. Stone is probably coming next too since those two are the only ones in the magazine without an adaptation

And unrelated but I read ch 21 of Act-Age. So good. Definitely one of my favorite things on the magazine.

Jujutsu I think it's still too early to think about anime. 2019 will be a better time to think about it if the manga is more established.

This showed up on 5ch and again I'll hold off but.....
Well there you go.

I wonder when will we get Dr. Stone and Jujutsu anime announcements
Who knows, we might see a Dr Stone announcement soon. The way they had urgent reprints for all the volumes of Bokuben and Dr Stone is suspicious. Jump did acknowledge how they had anime adaptations four seasons in a row and maybe they want to continue for six seasons in a row. But that's all speculation.

When it comes to Jujutsu, I think we'll have to wait some more. Jujutsu has 22 chapters currently and if you look at the list from below, it should take a while until an anime announcement would even happen.

These were the chapter counts for these manga when they had their anime adaptations announced.

World Trigger - 60
Boku no Hero Academia - 65
Haikyuu!! - 74
Nisekoi - 76
Yakusoku no Neverland - 87
Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san - 88
Black Clover - 91
Shokugeki no Souma - 93
Assassination Classroom - 97
Kimetsu no Yaiba - 112
Hinomaruzumou - 175
Saiki - 194

Inb4 Stone Anime announcement in #40 lol.

If WNL is getting an announcement, honestly I really don't expect Stone to be much further away. It kinda feels like a Toei series (Surely I'm not the only one), and it's the kind of series where they could get away with slow pacing very easily since they can spend tons of time visualizing contraptions and everything. Also means it'd work well as a long runner... Only reason for them to wait is so there's not a massive gap between that and the next Jump series that gets an anime which'll probably be Jujutsu.

I don't think these are going to happen,

but there are still older series that people want to see animated (Psyren still got votes whenever Anime Japan rolls around) [and I still to this day hoping for a Mx0 anime]

SJ+ also have some cool series (Astra lost in space would be nice)

giving certain anime a final season would be great too...(bleach, nisekoi)

that way they can have a (non long running) anime every season
but that is just me being hopeful

Don't forget about Act-Age. :derp

Bokuben and Stone are up next in line and Jump doesn't really have anything else besides Jujutsu and Act-Age for the future. All that's left in the magazine are a bunch of series that already have adaptations and 5 manga that will probably be axed(plus Gintama might actually end this time). Jujutsu will be their biggest priority and if nothing else much bigger pops up really soon then Act-Age will also become a bigger priority.

Jump really needs to find another hit soon. But it's not like the magazine is in a bad state right now.

And about Dr. Stone, I would agree that Toei does seem like a big possibility but they are fairly busy. The character designs don't seem to be the easiest things to adapt into animation, so that will be interesting.

Lack of Jump titles for new anime? Rokudenashi Blues is the solution.

PD: Friendly reminder first Jump anime ever aka Otoko Ippiki is getting DVD re-released this October

All those anime announcements left and right lol. What a strange state WSJ is in now. So many manga get anime and they even air back to back. But for some reasons this is not the most exciting time for WSJ readers, at least for me. I mean the magazine definitely not in bad state. We even have something for everything: action, sport, romcom, echi, comedy,... demon, superhero, pirate, alien, ghost... from Taisho era to far into the future. But I feel like it's been a loooooong time from the last time we have a new series that almost immediately grab people's attention and go straight to "mainstream", let alone many series like that exists at the same time. Not that I'm complaining tho, I'm happy with what I got. Sorry if it turns out like I'm complaining.

meanwhile Ana no Mujina have been on hiatus for 2+ years
and we don't even know Animored's future

and speaking of Shueisha's cross media projects, Megaton Musashi is yet to see the light

That's more on Level 5 than Shueisha since it's their property (Shueisha probably only publishes the manga adaptation). Not surprising considering their other projects have been delayed a lot (Inazuma Eleven Ares and their mobile games to name some)

Just noticed that WNL will also be on chapter 76 on WSJ #39... whoa

Also to note that the reprint orders for WNL volumes are on 28 August, a day after #39 will be released.

WNL should honestly have come later in its lifetime, as its just going to have the usual non ending. Anime should just do an anime original thing, honestly.

Later wouldn't change much. If it is announced in 2 weeks that's the exact point as Nisekoi which had 100 chapters adapted into 20 episodes but then season 2 had a random selection of 105 or something chapters in 12. It's a romcom and those never get fully adapted no matter how much content.
