in all seriousness the terrible weather in Japan right might be one of the reason for the drop.

For me the only reason is that the new edition of Slam Dunk has reshuffled the cards on the table.

Yep, I felt the art was bland and incomplete. I kinda expected more from her.

The mangaka did a couple of other decent oneshots in the same veign, lots of style light substance. Also had a crappy mini in Jump Giga that didn't utilize his talent

Its been a little over a year and a half since the last episode of season 3 aired I would say its not impossible for the anime to comeback. There is a question to be asked; why did it take so long when the manga had plenty of material to cover in a season (depending on the amount of episodes they decided to make) within a years time to make a season 4, this is also discounting other projects the creative team of the anime may have been asked to do.

I was skimming through MS’s MHA release last week think “idk, the art doesn’t look too good this week....”

its why I dont like MS Haikyuu and Food wars, so many details are lost and the visual quality is often subpar.

Yeah I pretty much already forgot about the 3 new manga. The shogi one is the most forgetful one for me somehow even though I read the first few chapters of it.

Momiji no Kisetsu was a mini series on GIGA where it failed to gather any interest
somehow, they decided to give it a volume release anyway and it sold horribly
after that they decided to make it a full series and yet again it's flopping

Something we can discuss since no TOC this week
Will a manga about ninja or monster hunter be success nowadays if they serialize right now? or will they be overshadow by its predecessor? For on going manga, will a manga about pirate or superheroes or something similar make it to the magazine? Or Do the editors stop them completely? We see plenty of exorcist manga in Jump, why not the other setting?

My next question would be what type of setting/class do you want/wish to be in Jump? I think Steampunk + Cowboy would make some really cool setting/story line.

And the thing is, GIGA publishes a lot of ideas, from various young talents. I assume they went with this author because he was the only one that was ready to take on the challenge of a weekly serialization? I think this might suggest that Shueisha might have some promising talents, but none of that talent is prepared for the brutal weekly serialization?

Why else would they insistently try to make this a series?

Just like majority of series that released in Giga. Sahara of the Flower Samurai comes to mind, it sells for 2k copies. I don't understand the point of Giga, beside the fact it asks the authors from the main series to draw extra stuffs for Giga magazine. Just put those newcomers in Jump+
