I legit think the art in freaking Nurarihyon no Mago chapter 1, 11 years ago. was better than this.

Kamio Yui felt like a worse copy of the recent Rokudou no Onna-tachi arc from over in Champion.

Otherwise Chainsawman finally getting some proper big major antagonist build up is nice, Higuma feels like it's going for big story beats way too early without actually building them up or having a direction they're leading in, and Ne0 feels like a typical quick cancellation that's lots all steam at this point. Saiyuki's second chapter was fun enough though.

None of the 5 strike as major things I especially want to continue for Saiyuki and Chainsawman have me most curious I suppose.

Won't place Jujutsu since I'm like 20 chapters behind. Dropped ne0 & Higuma, will continue if either survives. Will watch Japan when it airs. Screw Boruto.

Chainsaw Man is still my favorite new thing from this year. It has stronger Jujutsu Kaisen vibes with each new chapter, but their execution is totally different.

Saiyuki was decent. I'm still not sure how I feel about the characters. The series needs to start being more eventful, so far there isn't that much to talk about. It could get better and go in an interesting direction or it could become a completely stale experience. The art is pretty good, it has an old-school feel.

Kamio Yui was also decent. I enjoyed the first chapter. The main characters are fun, I like their personalities so far and I think their designs are great. The art is quite good and it also has an old-school feel. I could definitely see this becoming popular if it manages to make the story entertaining. I hope it's going to be a mostly action focused series.

I likes Kamio Yui, seems like a fun delinquent-magic-fighting something something series. Also, not a bad second chapter for Saiyuki. Frankly, I hope at least one of these two survives, didn't really care about the previous three except Higuma and that one doesn't seem to be doing too well.


Also, there was an interview between Kentarou Miura and Yuji Kaku. Posting it here, since I don't know if Viz will translate it.

Have to say I absolutely find the fact that nobody cares about Jimoto ga Japan interesting lol. Poor MangaPlus and Shueisha failing to make it more popular.
