Re: the WoW thread

@Blai- Dude, it's "DK OP! booo!!" now. Warlocks got hit with the nerf bat hard when 3.0 came out.

Man, if I had a nickle for each time a rogue violated me on my lock...

Re: the WoW thread

I haven't played since WotLK came. Back in those days it was like, oh a warlock... Ice Block and then RUN!

Re: the WoW thread

Well, yeah... back in BC an average lock's diet would consist of mage and shaman tears. But yeah, before I quit wow, locks were back in the same situation they were in in vanilla, DK's were (and still are) the new OP, and group optimization became a thing of the past. :scry

They removed a HUGE chunk of the strategy element in WotLK. It's mosty "BURN>STOP>BURN>STOP>BURN>STOP> BURN WITH ALL CD'S POPPED>END"

Totally agree - i miss the good old times when you have to think about how to kill the mobs - even trashgroups...you had to think about what cc we have, which mob will we sheep, which give a sap and so on.

In Wotlk - pull them together and Aoe,Aoe.....especially with a prot-pala :(
...and i was really pissed about Naxx, i had to go to naxx 1000000x in classic and now again in woltk........

Re: the WoW thread

I want vanilla back. Before the honor point system, when you had to become like General and whatnot to get the pew pew gear. \o/

Oh, and mages weren't useless back then either. They became loluseless in bc but idk how it is in wotlk...

If I got 1 gold every time I gave someone a port or food/water I would have epic flying in all colours... and 2 mammoth mounts...

If you as a mage give someone something, you get a "thx" back, not even a fully written "thanks" and if you don't youre apparently not doing your duty as mage and they thing that you're either greedy, noob or stupid.

<3 mages not

Re: the WoW thread

I got all my ports for free, benefits of having an RL friend who uses a mage and is around all the time. :D

I don't miss the HK system at all. I don't like my PvP meddling with my PvE.

re:mage usefulness nummies- No matter what role I play in a party, I always find myself looking and getting into groups for instance farming as opposed to those one shot groups. Whenever I get a mage in my group who's too cheap to dish out a buffet table and AB, I kick them off the bat. I just don't see why they need to go "El Cheapo" when everyone else is spending for buff mats.

Re: the WoW thread

Yeah in parties of course. But I mean getting poked in like Ironforge by a warrior that wants an Arcane Brilliance buff (because it lasts longer) so he can skill wpns faster. Or someone wanting like 8stacks of food/water and writing like "hi, f00d plx" and when I make it I get "thx" back.

I'm never going to give someone anything like that unless he writes proper words. If he cba to write thanks, or use proper grammar I'm not gonna bother klicking my conjure-spell.

In groups ofc it's always table time \o/ I'm always taking like max stacks myself so I don't need to conjure afterwards.

Re: the WoW thread

See, that's why I play (or rather, used to) Horde! I don't get random kids asking me to do shit for them (apart from the occasional noob that mistakes my beautiful lock for a mage, and asks me for a port). I've had to banish tons of monsters for my bro's to get their wep skill up though. No biggie since they run instances with me a lot. It's great when you don't have to get into LFG and sift through the noobs because your guildies/ RL are pro :D

While I was on my lock I'd normally grind with my RL friends: Prot warrior, Resto shammie, mage (doesn't matter what spec, the bastard out DPS' BM hunters and fire-destro locks for kicks), and an s-priest. We never went OOM with the totems+ mana battery :D. Then in 3.0 we changed it up. I got on a frost-tanking DK, my warrior friend went fury, the shammie went elem, and the mage stayed. We had to replace the priest since he quit playing when 3.0 came out.

Yeah my wl was asked so often for water/food - or port to a city....and some people didnt want to believe that a wl cannot do this things....i asked myself how could they have a lvl 60/70/80 char (depends to what time this was^^)
I had really funny discussion because of that.....

Re: the WoW thread

Oh, I gave a few people "ports"... Just wanted to see their faces when they ended up right exactly where they were before the loading screen took over.

Though I did abuse my "port". Getting into MC without the attunement never felt so easy... :rofl

Re: the WoW thread

Dude, what was fun was the patch where they introduced the buffet tables. They hadn't fixed the bug that allows you to cast ports in AV. So as soon as the prep time starts, we do a quick "noob check" and cast a port to Org to see if there are any noobs who'd click without reading.

Re: the WoW thread

Hahaha, that sounds awesome lol

It's like the christmas AV's.
While defending SP, throwing snowballs at allys to make them falling down from the bridge and die.
Since ally sucked so bad, it was more fun throwing snowballs at them than dying defending.

When I rolled a horde mage, I still threw snowballs at allys. Rather did that than load up frostbolts...

Re: the WoW thread

Uh... that's actually a lot worse than what we did. It's a big no for me to fuck up in raids; coming from a raiding guild and all.
