Madmole has Natsu tier physical strength, and tanked the same attack that beat Jacob. Only thing that makes him weaker than a Spriggan is MP.
Still doesn't change the fact that Madmole can't defeat Elfman who is weaker than BSS Mira, who was defeated by Juliet & Heine, who are not close to Spriggan level.

Everyone clearly did. Do you think they just sat around when people like Max trained?
There is absolutely nothing who suggest that Mira trained.

People get stronger over time......you don't need to be spoonfed the statement. Is the beginning of FT Natsu the same as Tenrou?

Just admit you're wrong dude........You think J/H can tank Natsu's strongest non-DF attack?

Not for every member of FT. Team Natsu for sure but we have no idea if Mira trained during this timeskip.
I think that Madmole is not beating Juliet & Heine, let alone a Spriggan.

Ok....there is no "proof" that they trained yet they clearly got stronger.
Yes....and you're still wrong.

If she did trained she would of had to mix it with work as well

There's no reason to assume that Skullion held back against Mirajane and Elfman. They gave him a good enough fight that he thought it was worth getting a scolding from his guildmaster and ask stronger people for help. Mirajane or Elfman could have simply countered absolute ash before it grew big, like Gray did.
Actually, there are reasons to assume:
1. Skullion was fighting with Madmole close to him. Any spell that would cover a big area could harm his ally too. Skullion magic is a hax, if it touches the person, the person will disappear turning into ashes. So, of course, he will try not to kill his own ally in the fight, right?

2. There was anything on the battlefield that suggested that Skullion cast a spell like the one he used against Gray. We can't see a great area where was buildings, houses, and shops got turned into ashes. We didn't see people outside the battle watching the fighting and saying that a specific attack by Skulling could damage all the city.

You cannot assume that a person who cast a strong and long-range spell standing in an isolated area (on the sea) would fight in the same way with his friend close to the range of his spell. If Skulliong didn't use a spell strong as the spell he used against Gray, he didn't fight at the same level. The scenario is important for the combat, Gray fought Skullion in one that Skullion can be more dangerous than when fought with his ally close to him.

So if you can't bring a manga panel that shows that Skulliond devasted a very huge area, indicating that he used a spell like the one cast against Gray, I will keep assuming that he didn't use it for those reasons that I mentioned.
--- Double Post Merged, ---

We can't assume that Elfman can endure much of Laxus physical attacks, like this one: https://s1.mangabeast01.com/manga/Fairy-Tail/0472-016.png
Wahl could easily. If Minerva was able to knock out H-Wahl with 50% of his strength, she will knock out Elfman. After all, it is a fight that Minerva will inflict 50 attacks on Elfman to one that Elfman manages to inflict on her.

Erza, whose endurance is better than Elfman's, was screaming in pain against this kind of attack (image) and needed to be cover in bandages after the fight.

So there's is no way that Yagdo Rigora + spam of explosions + spam of blasts of energy + spam of make him chock with walls, buildings, etc. wouldn't defeat him. She could knock out H-Wahl and she even was hitting physical attacks on him: https://s1.mangabeast01.com/manga/Fairy-Tail/0497-012.png , Elfman will get his ass beaten even in a corporal fight. Every time he tries to launch an attack, Minerva will use Territory to suit the position with him, make him be the one who is attacked: https://s1.mangabeast01.com/manga/Fairy-Tail/0388-005.png

With Madmole's defense being as good as it is, I doubt Skullion can kill him even if he tried. Not that it matters, because Madmole and Kyria were close enough that they would have been enveloped by absolute ash in Ermina, and that didn't stop him from using it back then. It's kind of ridiculous to assume that Skullion just gave up because he was afraid of friendly fire. He would have just told Madmole to leave. Absolute ash isn't even skullion's best attack. Black Ash was, and it doesn't have particularly large AoE, so there's really no reason to assume Skullion held back. Especially since he had to ask the master to send stronger people for help. If the problem was that his allies got in the way, he wouldn't be asking for more people.

Sure it does. Not being able to defeat Elfman doesn't make you weaker than Spriggan, considering Elfman beat a Spriggan in Ajeel. Mirajane wasn't defeated by Juliet and Heine either. Not that it matters, because if Juliet and Heine defeated Mirajane all that proves is that they're stronger than Jacob, a Spriggan who couldn't defeat Mirajane with no takeovers.

It's kind of ridiculous to assume that Skullion just gave up because he was afraid of friendly fire. If Skullion could have defeated Mirajane and Elfman with the same ease as he defeated Gray, he would have just told Madmole to leave. Absolute ash isn't even skullion's best attack. Black Ash was, and it doesn't have particularly large AoE, so there's really no reason to assume Skullion held back. Especially since he had to ask the master to send stronger people for help. Anyways, Minerva isn't on Erza's level. Erza beat down Minerva with her bare hands during Tartaros, and Minerva had a power-up that arc.
All that with know until now is that Skullion can kill someone by turning the person into ashes, it's a hax, being more resistant wasn't stated as possible of overcoming it.
Even Gray saying that Skullion magic could involve Elmina, it didn't damage the city. You can presume all actions of the almost-off-panel fight. Maybe Skullion didn't think that he would need to use that long-range spell to defeat the opponents until he was already tired and with low MP. And Kyria and the other member still in the city, so...
It doesn't change the fact that Skullion DIDN'T use this spell.

I didn't say Minerva is on Erza's level, Erza is stronger. Erza beat up Kyouka on Etherious form and with his strengthening course active with her bare hands too... it isn't a demerit for Minerva, after all, is being beaten by Erza. Elfman still far far far away from Erza, his strength and endurance are weaker than Erza's, so an attack that makes Erza scream would certainly harm Elfman. Minerva proves that she can handle, at least for a while, a fight with Erza. Does Elfman even prove to be able to do that?
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Erza overcomes the territory magic by being very fast, something that Elfman definitely isn't. He is that kind of opponent that can't overcome territory's tricks.

The point was that Skullion didn't care that black ash could have spread to take out Ermina even though Kyria and Madmole were still pretty close by. Also, Kyria, Nebaru, and Wraith were in different cities. Skullion's attack would have never reached them in the first place. We don't know whether or not Skullion used absolute ash. He could have tried it, and Mirajane just countered it by blasting it with a nuke or something before it got big. Even if he didn't use absolute ash, that's not his strongest attack. He could have just as easily skipped absolute ash and went straight for black ash. Either way, Mirajane and Elfman gave him a good enough fight that he felt it was necessary to abandon his task and ask stronger people to help in case they ever have to fight again.

Elfman is stronger than Tartaros arc Erza. He beat Ajeel with only Lisanna's help, and Lisanna is basically fodder.

Kyria was in the Water Dragon's temple under the sea, Madmole was on a ship. None of the Diablos guys were in the city, so it's ok that Skullrion didn't care at damage the city. Black Ash wouldn't be so effective as when the target is surrounded by a vortex of ashes that he can't touch.

I'm not saying that Mirajane and Elfman weren't proper opponents. The thing is: They didn't show anything that could surpass a combo of attacks (Absolute Ash + Black Ash) that Silver's range of Ice couldn't overcome.

-
Elfman didn't' show being stronger than Tartaros Erza. But because Erza's feats are kind of forced ( ''Because she is Erza") I will not focus on it. But, Erza Tartaros didn't really defeat Minerva in a proper fight anyway, Minerva was in an internal fight on her mind and she wasn't knocked out by Erza so you can't measure how really superior Erza was at that time. AND Minerva is strong than she was in the Tartaros arc too. She remained with some % of the power-up received in Tartaros, defeated H-Wahl, so she is stronger than Tartaros Erza too. :)

Erza only got almost defeat by Ajeel, because:
1. Marin magic's stopped her Re-quip, so she stayed some time get dehydrated by his sand without doing anything.
2. Ajeel can counter swords attacks. He didn't seem able to counter physical attacks although, once that he was punched by Natsu.
3. Ajeel uses the ''sand world'', covering all the city in the sand, something that he didn't use against Elfman.

On the other way: Elfman didn't have someone stopping his magic for a while, he had a Take Over form that is good against sand and he fights with his hands and not swords. While Erza was totally at disadvantage he was totally in vantage ( and for some reason didn't have to face the ''sand world'').
The fact that Lisanna (who was knocked out by Lucy twice in the 100Q) could endure Ajeel's fight until the end only shows that Ajeel didn't hit any really strong attack. Maybe Elfman's Beast Sand could stop his strong spells, but it doesn't mean that Elfman's feats make him good as Erza's.

Both the temple and the boat were closer to Skullion than the city of Ermina. Skullion and Gray just went outside the temple underwater. I don't understand why Black Ash wouldn't be effective if the target wasn't surrounded by a vortex of ash. It just needs to hit it's target. Mirajane and Elfman just need to scatter Skullion's ash before it hits them. Wendy could do it. I imagine Mirajane's blasts could do it too.

Yeah, Elfman is stronger than Tartaros Erza, unless you think Tartaros Erza could defeat Ajeel too. Minerva might be stronger than Tartaros Erza. Maybe. But it doesn't matter, because she's still not strong enough to beat a Spriggan like Elfman. Defeating a historia isn't as impressive as defeating an actual Spriggan.

But it doesn't matter, because she's still not strong enough to beat a Spriggan like Elfman. Defeating a historia isn't as impressive as defeating an actual Spriggan.
1. It's not true. We don't know how close Madmole was. The ship is was on the water surface. The temple is undersea. The manga showed the magic getting to the surface and it was said that could spread to the city, it's not stated that was spreding out to underwater too. The ship which Madmole was made of ashes, it's Skullion creation, so we even know if it would be damaged. What we know is: the ashes would spread to the city, not the temple undersea, and not to the ship. https://s4-1.mangabeast.com/manga/Fairy-Tail-100-Years-Quest/0011-013.png

2. Wendy only did it using ''wind magic'', which seems a weakness of his magic. Neither Mirajane nor Elfman seems to use wind magic.

3. Actually, He is not. Elfman is portrayed to be slowers than Lisanna, and Lisanna isn't faster than Erza of 2 years ago. Elfman wasn't around the Erza Tartaros level by Tartaros arc time, he improves consist basic in brute strength and endurance, it's not clear that he surpasses that Erza, maybe he just got into that level, but that Erza still faster, so I don't see him winning against her.

4. The Spriggan don't have the same level of combat skills. Some use more hax magic but are poor in endurance. What Ajeel did endure against Erza besides two cuts well hit? Wahl tanked a lot of Laxus brute strength, which is a better feat of endurance than Ajeel's. We don't know how many of this kind of attack Ajeel can tank. But, once he was defeated by Elfman (who didn't have the same feats as Laxus in physical attacks) he is clearly below Wahl in endurance. So be able to knock out 50%-Wahl (a Spriggan that explores his target weakness) is not less than beat a full Spriggan with less endurance in a fight where you have all the vantages. Anyway, Erza alone survived until the ''world of sand'', Elfman without Lisanna didn't see able to overcome the second speel cast by Ajeel. So you can't put his winning against Ajeel as only his merits and even can say that is better than defeat 50%-Wahl. Minerva was fighting against her weakness, Elfman fought with vantage, and receiving Lisanna's support.

The ship was right outside the temple. It was literally within Madmole's throwing distance. They all started in the temple. Kyria stayed in the temple to fight Lucy's group. Gray and Skullion moved outside underwater. They were all closer to each other than Ermina. Skullion's ash wouldn't have done any damage to Aldoron either. So if standing on the ship would have protected Madmole, wouldn't standing on Aldoron protect everyone? Besides, I don't think that's how it works. Madmole and Natsu were standing on the top of the ship. The the sand engulfs the whole ship, it would harm them too. Not that it matters, because Skullion couldn't have known Madmole was on the ship. He used the attack anyways.

Elfman doesn't have to be as fast as Erza. He's stronger than Tartaros Arc Erza because he can beat Ajeel, who was a good opponent for Alvarez Arc Erza. I don't buy that Wall at full power is more than twice as durable as Ajeel to begin with, but there's no reason to assume Wall was even at 50% of the original regardless. Neinhart had to split his MP between 3 ways to summon the Spriggan historias. Technically, Minerva got exhausted by 1/3rd of Neinhart's power. Enchanted Neinhart was stronger than any of his historias, and Natsu oneshotted him. Same Natsu hurt himself using a demolition fist on Madmole. Elfman beat a Spriggan and held his own against Madmole, who has Natsu tier strength and better defense than any Spriggan bar August and Irene.

Elfman defeated Ajeel because he was advantaged and was in 2v1 (Ajeel was defeating Elfman 10 seconds after the fight started but Lisanna saved his brother)
Juliet & Heine defeated BSS Mira and she was forced to powerup, something which not happened with Skullion. Jacob was not using all of his powers against Mira, Jacob without his hax + eyes close is not Spriggan tier.
Lisanna is fodder, and not even a particularly strong fodder. Any attack stronger than Madmole's slap would have oneshotted her. So realistically, Lisanna probably just helped Elfman fly. You could replace Lisanna with an exceed, and it would make pretty much zero difference to Elfman's chances against a Spriggan. In fact, Pantherlily might actually be an upgrade because he at least has Edolas-arc Gajeel tier stats in his human form.

Juliet and Heine never defeated Mirajane in Satan Soul. Mirajane simply realized that she couldn't beat them without using Alegria, and used it. Sure, she didn't use Alegria against Madmole or Skullion, but she flat out said that she wasn't sure if she and Elfman could beat Madmole and Skullion altogether. That means she's taking into account of them both going all out, and still has doubts. She had zero doubts that Alegria could stomp Juliet and Heine.

Probably has better defense than Irene.
