Summary and Preview
A tragic story of love and abuse set in fin de siecle France. The good and kind Serge Battour, half noble, half gypsy transfers to a public school - Laconblade Academy - where he meets Gilbert Cocteau, a boy of questionable morality. After a rocky start, friendship then love developes between the two boys, but, can they ever truly escape Gilbert's tortured past?
The Song of the Wind in the Trees explores themes of pedophilia, sexual abuse, predudice, racism, homosexuality, homophobia, incest, rape and drug abuse.
Serge Battour, son of a gypsy prostitute and a count arrives to the Lacomblade academy, wanting to follow his father's footsteps and become a famous pianist. In this place he meets a strange boy, Gilbert Cocteau. Gilbert is well known because of his promiscuity and evil behaviour, but this doesn't stop Serge trying to be friends with him and maybe something more...
