The Isle of Phronze is a holy place, forbidden to all except the Saint-Elect Sanatolle from the City-State of Cross -- a man whose role it is to regularly undertake a pilgrimage to the island and retrieve for those ravaged by war a certain herb said to heal all ills.

聖地と呼ばれるフローンズ島から、持ち出し禁止とされている「癒しの葉」を携えて俗界に渡った聖者サナトールを護衛するため、ドミナトール王国・アビゴール連邦国・エクシア共和国・フルゴール6都市連合の4国から1人ずつ、計4人の護衛役がサナトールと同行することになった。ドミナトール出身のユーリグは王国代表としてサナトールの下へ赴くが、聖者の一行には、母国の宿敵であるアビゴールの青年セレスの姿もあった。
