Summary and Preview
Imagine living in a town where supernatural beings stalk the night for their next prey. Toukei Ibun takes place 29 years since Tokyo was established as the capital of Japan. Manzou is the owner of an inn in the town of Asakusa. His friend, Hirakawa is a journalist who is investigating the bizarre crimes occurring at night in Asakusa.
One mystery revolves around a beautiful women slasher who stalks and murders lone people in the night. Witnesses describe a black fox near every crime scene. Another mystery involves a figure engulfed in flames murdering people, only leaving traces of ashes on the victim. Hirakawa enlists the help of Manzou to investigate the bizarre cases. The only connection between all the occurrences is that it takes place at night and that it is not stopping. How will these two men be able to find the truth and stop these supernatural events? [vyc]
