Soul Eater

Beautiful artwork.

That is probably the most prominent feature of Soul Eater. But it's not it's only feature. This series has one of the most unique stories of what would be considered a typical battle manga I've read. Character development is key, along with themes of evil, insanity, and their infectious spread.

In my humble opinion, the anime is actually *better* than the manga.
Don't get me wrong, Soul Eater's jam packed with style, and the artwork is quirky enough to set it apart. Each character's even got a lovable personality flaw--like maka's fastidiousness, black star's ego, and (my personal favorite) death the kid's OCD.

Still, I feel that Bones nailed soul eater's essence it so well, that with the music, cartoony backgrounds, and cg effects, you won't even want to go back to the manga once you've watched the show. So, really, I don't personally think Soul's a great read, but if you're not going to watch the anime do read it because the story and characters are fascinating.

I don't agree with you, shrimpy, I think the manga is better than the anime under many aspects, like the drawings and the story (I didn't like final part of the anime, when the story changes from the manga)

Ohh it`s a great work.
After reading shit that Bleach has became,this is a fresh good manga.Why read Soul Eater?:
1.Characters=best ever.I didn`t see better humor since ... i never did:P<3 Death the kid!
2.Story=its a one big plot with some missions connected to it.And thats what a good story should be.
3.Fights=If you love a lil bit longer fights with using many styles of fight,then you should read it.Scythe,Sword,Guns,Magic its manyyy.
Im going to read more chapters now so you should do that too!Get a good shonen for a new day!:p(In my opinion,its worth every minute of reading)

Soul Eater, Is a great manga and anime. It would make a great first anime to watch, and the plot line is amazing. Throughout the story, it does not get boring like other animes and mangas. It does have a bit of nudity, but thats only because weapons loose their clothes when they transform. The first few episodes of this show will surely get you hooked. Just ask me, I'm on book 16, episode like, 50 or somethin.
