Summary and Preview
Marutamachi Satomi’s bum father owns the local stationary shop but with the tough economy, he decides to turn it into a parking lot. Satomi, who is waiting for her mother who left them, wants to hold onto the store in hopes that it might bring her home. Satomi keeps with her a pencil locket that her mother gave to her as a reminder of when the family was still together. Satomi’s dad lets her run the store and, with the help of her old and new friends, Satomi brings back business to the shop. All she can hope for is that, one day, the family can get back together again; until then, Satomi just waits. [vyc]
