Are you in a secret conspiration to boicot New Moon?
No, but I've been trying to screw up my sleep schedule so that my friend doesn't force me to go with her to watch that movie.

Argh, now I gotta go. I'll be back to post later, promise.

Or you could just see the movie?
That would be way too easy.
Instead of spending two hours to see the movie, trying to avoid it for half a week, is way more efficent...

Now, back to the league. As far as I've seen so far, we disagree on wether or in which way to change the rules for the next season.
So maybe we should simply vote?

So far, things to discuss would be
Doubles, Pairs,
Reserve Player, Custom Character

And coaches, make more realistic the level of the players, create a calendar with the matches since the first day, try to introduce more people...

You still didn't tell me anything about coaches.
Please elaborate it a bit, so there is a bit more of a foundation.

Also, if there were more people, there would be no way we could avoid custom character, would there...

Besides, there is no way, we were able to keep this game balanced and make the levels entirely realistic. The only way this would work really are custom characters where everyone has the same chance of winning.

Btw, even though it may sound like it, I'm not supporting custom characters in general, I'd only like to see them as reserve players and only one per team.

Example of coaches:
Ryuzaki Sakuno (Seigaku):
[Gathering the talents]Gives to one player of your team a 5 point boost if he has less than 15 base points, 10 if he has 16-24, or 15 if he has 25 or more. You'll choose the player in the line-up of the match, so your opponent won know who will receive it.

Tachibana Kippei (Fudoumine):
[Training the puppies]Gives to two of your players:
Wild Lion[Aura]: If the opponent is within 15 levels, the player gets boosted 8 points. (both singles and doubles). You'll choose the players in the line-up of the match, so your opponent won know who will receive it.

Hajime Mizuki (St.Rudolph)
[Data Tennis]You must predict his opponent's lineup. You must guess whether the character is playing doubles or singles, and in which position he is playing.
For every 100% correct guess(both position and whether the character is playing singles or doubles), each player of your team gets boosted 2 points. For every 50% correct guess(guessing whether the player is playing doubles or singles, but not his exact position) each player of your team gets boosted 1 point.

Banji (Yamabuki)
[Veteran]Choose one doubles pair of your team. Their total points get boosted 10 points, or 15 if one of them is a [Doubles Expert] or have a bonus related to doubles.

Sakaki (Hyotei)
["I'm only a music teacher"] Choose one of the rounds (S3, D2,S2, D1,S1). The referee will tell you your rival line-up for that round.

Aoi Hanamura (Jyosei Shonan)
[MILF coach] Choose one player of your rival's team. He will drop 15 points.

Oji (Rokkaku)
[Master of Rackets] He gives to all the players of your team
Power[Feat]: User gets boosted 3 points.
If one player of your team has that [Feat], that player'll get boosted 6 points.

Yukimira Seichi(Rikkai)
[The Law of Rikkai] Your players get a 10 points boost for every round (S3,D2,S1,D1,S1) your team had won before their match.Your players get a 5 points loss for every round (S3,D2,S1,D1,S1) your team had lost before their match

Harumi Saotome (Higa)
[Play dirt] All the effects of your rival coach are neutralized

Osamu Watanabe (Shitenhouji)
[Cool coach] He gives to all the players of your team a 3 points boost

Kurobe Yukio (U-17 Strategic Couch)
[Stategy] All your opponent's players points are reduced 3 points.

Saito Itouru (U-17 Mental Coach)
[Mind rape] You can swamp the doubles order (D2 to D1) of your rival. The referee will tell you one of the two players of each doubles match before you'll send him your line-up.

I think it's balanced and delete the options of custom-made characters, a very bad option IMAO

What makes you think so?
Besides, the problem with coaches is that they are quite limited. Also, I think it would be weird if you face a team in which your own coach plays.
Custom characters don't have this problem and you yourself said you want more people to participate in the league.

Now as there are no matches at the moment, I'll display Seigaku's way through the nationals using our characters, starting with the match vs Hyoutei. The rules that only 4 effects and auras are allowed is disables, alongside any techniques the characters did not possess at that time.

Winner: Echizen, Seigaku

Close only problem is Inui actually goes up to 22 so I think Inui/Kaidoh actually beat Hiyoshi/Cancer pair.

Also, Kabaji is scary. Granted, he's not that powerful in our fan league since most people have effects.

Gay Pair would have won if they would have used The Joker.
I simply can not understand why you don´t like coaches. Custom characters would unbalance even more the league.

They would not, I changed it to Joker, take a look.

[/QUOTE]I simply can not understand why you don´t like coaches. Custom characters would unbalance even more the league.[/QUOTE]

It's not that I don't like them, it's just that I think it would feel strange. I mean, imagine you have Mizuki as a coach and you face Sherlock. As they should be the same person, there is no way you could guess wrong, is there? So to sum it up, it's not that I dislike coaches, I dislike
player coaches.

Also, I can't see why custom characters would unbalance the league.
If we determine their base level, using our current team's strenght as a standard, the league would rather be more balanced after adding them.

Now, for the finals:

Seigaku vs Rikkai

S3: Tezuka vs Sanada

Tezuka (27)
-Rehabilitation[Feat]: Tezuka gets boosted 3 points.
-Tezuka Phantom[Effect]: If the opponent is within 10 levels, Tezuka is raised 3 points and all effects are canceled. (singles only)

Inui goes up to 24 points, Kaidoh uses Laser and Snake to rise to 19.5. Renji uses his data to rise to 28, Kirihara stays at 23 for the moment. In total that makes 43.5 points for Seigaku and 51 for Rikkai respectively. After that Kaidoh is boosted 6 points due to Devil Mode, Renji goes up to 40. In total, that's 49.5 points vs 63.

First of all, Chaos has shown us how unrealistic is our league. Wow. Poor Golden Pair and Fuji.

Second. Ok, without the player-coaches (Mizuki, Tachibana and Yukimira), there are 9 coaches.
And we can add two more of the U-17 (and the number of U-17 coaches will grow every month):

Tsugere Ryyuju (Circuit Coach),
gives to two of your players
-Stamina Freak[Feat]: The player wins if he ties or if the opponent is within 1.5 points (both singles and doubles)

Mifune Nyydou (Secret Coach)
Gives to all your singles players
Hyped up[Feat]: If the opponent has never seen that player play, they drop 5 points.

Eh, actually I only did these matches as we had no league matches in a while. I just wanted to pass some time. But you're right, poor Golden Pair. I didn't think they'd lose like this.

Coaches are okay for me with that. I wonder though, as we base this on Shin PoT, if we should rename the team's coaches and make them U17 ones instead.

Also, I'll post some more details on custom characters as soon as I can think of a good level up system.

I thought of something:

Custom Characters:

Name -> I suppose this is obvious
Hand -> also obvious
School -> well, not that important and rather for completeness

Playstyle -> now this is where it gets more interesting. Let's assume every character starts on level 1. Furthermore there are four stats that determine the characters abilities:
Power, Speed, Spin, Control.
Now based on your characters playstyle the starting points are divided upon these four attributs:
All-rounder -> 1;1;1;1
Offensive Baseliner -> 2;1;0;1
Defensive Baseliner -> 0;1;1;2
Serve and Volley -> 0;2;1;1
Everytime your character participates in a match he gets 5 points an dif he won an additional 5 points. Those can be distributed amongst the four attributes. Note that a characters level always is the total points of all four attributes divided by 4.
Now, when a character reaches a certain level in one attribute he can learn new feats and effects. E.g. Spin 10 and Control 8 -> Tsubame Gaeshi.
Also when a character reaches level 30 he gets to learn Muga, maybe.
I think characters should have no more than five Feats/Effects/Auras.

Well, I think that's it so far. Naturally we had to make a level-up list but that shouldn't be that much of a problem.

We are waiting for lineups to be sent. To be specific, a few from you. I'll pm you what matches you have yet to send a lineup for.

So, doubles, coaches, all that crap?

We'll save it for next season. Let's finish this season first. As soon as rav sends his lineups, we'll continue.

Maybe you sent it to Fayte or Atobe, and we had a mixup. The fan league staff isn't exactly the most organized staff haha.

Jyten and Jav, I don't have your lineups vs Ravsieg here. Probably because of the same mixup. Please send them to me so we can continue the league.

Rav vs Chaos

Singles 3
Fuji (25) Ravsieg
-The Prodigy[Feat]: Eliminates Power increases of opponent, and it is added to Fuji instead.
-Technician[Effect]: If the opponent is at a higher level, they drop the difference in points divided by 2. Fuji then gets boosted 6 points. (singles only)

vs

Itsuki (14) Chaos
-Charge Up[Effect]: Itsuki wins if the opponent is within 1 point of his total. (both singles and doubles)

Fuji wins easily!
Winner: Ravsieg
Doubles 2
Kirihara (23) Ravsieg
-Selfless State[Aura]: The user gets boosted 3 points. (both singles and doubles)
-Devil Mode[Feat]: If opponent is stronger, Kirihara increases 6 points. (both singles and doubles)

I've changed my screen name here from Hinata Fan to KuwabaraTheMan, just to avoid any confusion. Now my name shall truly reflect on the manliness of my team.

Now, to await the results of my current match.
