Sadly it would not make sense if they didn't really loose. The suspense was made right until the end, and for once it did not go in the expected direction.
Now what will happen with this great team. That was the last tournament for the third year, am I right ?

Karasuno really lost otherwise the scoreboard wouldn't have reflected it. It was a great chapter and what a way to end using Oikawa's POV to narrate it. In some ways Aobajousai was really the better team and it's great to see a sports manga that shows how practice, teamwork, and experience can overpower genius and natural talent. Especially since Seijou already faced Karasuno before. so they have already prepared for the quickstrike.

Re the third years, there's still the Spring Tournament and the prelims for that starts in September (it's still June in the Haikyuu!! timeline). Datekou's Moniwa (captain-setter) did tell the second years that third years won't be playing any more any more BUT he also said that when it was their turn, they should play on.

Daichi wanted to step down even if the seniors are allowed to continue playing until the Spring tournament but Suga and Asahi said that they'll stay unless the second and first years tell them to leave. Daichi decided to stay. Tanaka is being so responsible but I always thought he had the seniors' confidence since he was with Daichi and Suga to watch the middle school matches.

Kageyama and Hinata sure have lots of energy to burn

Great chapters after the defeat. The words of superation told by all were inspiring, I am liking very much of Haikyuu!! since the beginning with its reality. I hope that that continue and let's go the next development. It will be good a new tournament soon, but, for now, I am curious on what Kyoko-san will do.

Speaking of the scanlated chapters, the adults in Haikyuu!! are being awesome. I really liked how Takeda motivated those two morons, and Shimada helping Yamaguchi. The two adorbs, Kageyama and Hinata, are just so funny and cute. I like how the characters are acting their age. Kageyama has really improved so much as a person. Just happy the seniors aren't retiring anytime soon.

And like what Leoat12 said, great chapters following-up the defeat. Also good for the Karasuno fans (like me) who were crushed with the loss.

They'll be seeing Nekoma again plus a few practice matches and NEW characters. Can't wait for the next chapters.

Cant wait for that to happen, Ive been missing Kuroo and Kenma. Wouldnt mind in the future if we get another run in with Oikawa for Kageyama to meet up again (and Iwaizumi antis with that).

I've enjoyed the current mini-arc. Series like this need a small break from the action every now and then. And Jesus, chapter 77 was just all around amazing.
The pages around where Hinata jumps and steals the volleyball are top fucking notch.

77's extended pages were glorious. Kind of liking Ushiwaka now though of the other antagonists team characters hes probably the most least good. Though I will say I did sort of start to like his and kageyama's thing going on, I wonder of Kageyama would have been devoted to him. Anyway looking forward to whenever the match happens.

Oh i guess the eng is finally caught up, Haiba Lev is an interesting character though a bit too tall for me. Hes hilarious with Hinata in that intro moment of short and jumping. Still compelling to see how he is when a serious match comes up and how he and Kuroo and Kenma get along.

I like how the writer does keep pleasing me in some ways, Hinata Kenma screentime is always amazing.

You counted wrong; volume 4 has 9 chapters and volume 5 has 10 chapters.
