By what kind of magic could have zoro and luffy know about this secret ability even Blackbeard crewmembers didn't know. There is a very simple explanation fir the they and this is the one which is correct.
16 chars of instinctHow in the world would Luffy and Zoro know that Teach, someone who they don't even know, haven't met before, haven't sailed with, or even fought against, have an "abnormal" body?
Their instinct are good, but they aren't that damn good. There is no real reason to think that Luffy and Zoro were referring to Blackbeard alone, especially after Oda just introduced his entire crew beforehand.16 chars of instinct
at that time, i would think that there would be no special reason. i just think that luffy and zoro are somewhat gifted in this field. zoro has the ability to tell whether a sword is cursed or not, when there is no logic/basis for this. even the shop owner was surprised. and to make it more insane, he bet his arm against it. now what do you call that? experience? luck? or plain instinct? i would think of the latter.Their instinct are good, but they aren't that damn good. Its stated often enough that this was because Zoro and Luffy knew that he wasnt alone on this island. They recognized his whole behaving as being a pirate himself and as that being part of a pirate crew.1. at Jaya, Luffy and Zoro said that Teach wasn't a "he", but rather "they".

I wrote the same thing 2 posts ago...Now there is another clue about BB that we must not overlook: In chapter 650, Jinbei tells luffy that BB has gone man-hunting on DF users and that conquered a lot of territory, "but strangely enough without using the gura gura fruit" !! yet during the marineford war arc he was shown capable of using both powers at once...does that mean that he can somehow "equip" DF one at a time and gain their abilities, somehow related to the Yami Yami's void property ?
It just means whatever BB did was untested and they didn't know it would work 100%.The second being Shiliew's statement when the black cloth was used to cover it: "IF this fails, we all go our seperate ways" which would mean he ate the fruit, something that should actuallly kill a person
That's actually the first time an argument against the fruit being extracted by the Yami Yami makes much sense to me. The fact that he had to hide it actually does imply that it could be copied. But if we went with the "several bodies" then hiding it wouldn't be necessary either because a) many people have noticed it (Marco, Luffy, Zoro) and b) because it couldn't be copied. It just means whatever BB did was untested and they didn't know it would work 100%.
So, maybe he carried some fruit with him, or maybe he extracted the power with his devil fruit somehow. Or there's something entirely different involved. Somehow I doubt it's yami yami. Because, if his devil fruit allowed him to do it, why the need to hide it from everyone? Fact it was hidden implies that others could repeat the process if they saw what he did. Fact that he's hunting devil fruit users could furthermore imply this, since I doubt all of the powers are going to BB himself.
But pretty much all of this has been written in this thread already.
Well I'm against that multiple bodies nonsense that someone brings up every couple of months. Luffy and Zoro meant Blackbeard's crew and it should be clear to anyone who knows how Oda writes. They meet couple of pirates tempting fate on Jaya, then ultimately talk to their captain. They know this, because of their instincts and whatnot. That's actually the first time an argument against the fruit being extracted by the Yami Yami makes much sense to me. Actually I think the multiple body theory is bullshit aswell. Sorry if it didn't seem that way in my first post.Well I'm against that multiple bodies nonsense that someone brings up every couple of months. As for hiding it, yes, Blackbeard is the only known person who has more than one power, but it doesn't mean people who don't have devil fruits wouldn't be able to do what Blackbeard did to Whitebeard. Assuming that's the reason Blackbeard hid what he did from everyone else.
Which makes Zoro's part of the quote even more mysterious. If he knows as you claim then why the "maybe". Why is he so uncertain? If their speech about BB were something on its own I would have against the theory as well. But with the flag, the ability to eat more than one fruit and several other characters talking about his body being strange, I feel there's something more to it. Not necessarily multiple people inside his body, though.Well I'm against that multiple bodies nonsense that someone brings up every couple of months. Well, I saw also "probably" as translation.Which makes Zoro's part of the quote even more mysterious. If he knows as you claim then why the "maybe". Why is he so uncertain?
