Yes wahl wins for now but not easily gray was holding back as hell against ajeel..ice make silver was pretty casual..and he was not surprised when ajeel broke his ice..

Based on spoilers, Wahl is getting his ass kicked by Laxus and the only way he fought evenly with Laxus is because the latter is poisoned up and hurting.

Most likely yes. unlike what you want to believe every character will improve in the manga in the end not just your natsu. esp when gray hasnt shown his power and said he has a trick up his sleeve. Gray didnt use any noncasual ice move so how am i being contradictory

Natsu got a cheapshot on Ajeel which did nothing to Ajeel. theres no proof that wahl is stronger than ajeel as all he did was exploit Laxus weakness. Ajeel was lolstomping Erza who is stronger than Natsu. Ajeel will easily beat Natsu

Wahl wins Medium-High difficulty.... his Firepower and close quarter skills is too powertul for Gray..

Wall mid diff. High diff if Gray's darkness unlocks like Invel talks about in 498, Wall simply overpowers Gray with his Weakness and Assault Mode

Wahl has no time to charge his weapons and aim.

Any missiles or bullets fired will be insta-frozen in mid air, it won't even touch Gray.

As for close-quarter combat, Gray is one of the best in Fairy Tail.

His speed and strength with Ice Devil Zeroth Long Sword would match Wahl evenly at the very least.

If Gray hits Wahl with one Ice Devil Zeroth Destructive Bow, that arrow will pierce Wahl's body and freeze his core inside out.

If Laxus could defeat Wahl while being at a disadvantage, I'm pretty sure Gray can do the same in neutral conditions.


EDIT: I'll give Gray the win mid-high diff. This is being lenient on Wahl considering Gray's intelligence >>>>>>> Wahl's intelligence

After ch498, I'd say Gray with black marks is around Erza level. Enough to fight a S12 like Invel/Ajeel/Wahl, but not enough to solo.

Gray was no less than on par with Invel and that is being extremely lenient.

Erza almost died to Ajeel.

And Invel >>> Ajeel.

Gray never came close to dying against Invel, if anything, he was winning until Invel used a cowardly move like Ice Lock.


Anyway, to not get off topic, Gray definitely has shown feats on the level to outclass Wahl.

Again, if Laxus could beat Wahl while being had 2 major disadvantages, I'm pretty sure Gray can do the same on neutral grounds.

Especially with his black marks and Ice Demon Slaying Magic.
