While 2016 hasn't been an amazing year for me personally, the moments here in MH this year when I joined were amazing. This forum is filled with amazing and hilarious people who actually made this year better for me. Here's to an even better year on MH guys

heck, I'm still sticking around just to have some fun. FT is not THAT much of an interest to me.

I agree with @~Charging Lightning~ to bring back the legend the myth, Woodenstool.

A lot of interesting points brought up there. Same with the best chapter thread. I'm just gonna offer my 2c on a couple of things...

• Was Red Lightning really that bad He needed that or he'd die, Hiro had to give him some saviour (like Horologium, Ultear, Blood Transfusion, Universe One etc for other characters)
• Is Natsu oneshotting Neinhart terrible? Neinhart has newspaper durability, that's all. I don't see it much different to Jellal oneshotting Neinhart with a move that couldn't oneshot Angel preskip.
• Acno and August got a lot of love... apart from Zeref they're the only ones not yet trolled. Coincidence?

I have to say this is the best FT manga forum out there. My first forum I joined was Fairy Tail Base...and I got permabanned in one day

I didn't even do much wrong, so I was really worried I wouldn't be accepted here either but you guys are the best! I searched a lot of FT forums afterwards to see which one I should join like Mangafox (ghost town) and Narutoforums (filled with autism) but no place in the english-speaking world can match the camaraderie, volume, and quality (though at times this is questionable lel ) of Mangahelpers Fairy Tail division.



Please let Woodenstool come back

definitely. we are talking about a guy who never had any BS fight or power up in his life(same goes for Gray)and then he gets this random power up out of nowhere with lightning that surpasses the lightning shit which they needed to fix in the volume. heck, that's not even the main problem. the main problem is that flash back that literally makes no sense. so yeah, its terrible but considering that its his first then it can be forgiven.

Is Natsu oneshotting Neinhart terrible? Neinhart has newspaper durability, that's all. I don't see it much different to Jellal oneshotting Neinhart with a move that couldn't oneshot Angel preskip.

another 100% bullshit. I mean, I get it that his durability is poor but he just got enchanted so we expected more but what did we get??? his attacks cut off Lucy a bit and Brandish which did literally nothing and then he gets one shotted by none other than nakama fueled with cringy speech Natsu who is one shotting everybody since the time skip. this one shot is as almost as bad as Zancrow's(Natsu vs Zancrow)which I consider to be the worst battle in FT series. lets not mention that he conveniently barged into Natsu despite the fact that it would have been much better if he found Erza instead.

just wait a bit more and then August will be trolled too. as for Acnologia, he will face half demon and half dragon hybrid soon.

Haha yea lightning that surpasses lightning is awful. But Red Lightning itselfl, I think it's okay. He trained so I assume he just got a better spell. Justu Shiki mid battle was the most annoying to me.

and another shit like inherited from Yuri which makes no sense because Yuri was not even that strong unless I missed the point entirely.

For me it was a nice year not so bad i experienced many hardships but it wasn't that bad well that's a part of life.

I joined MH forums in early 2016 when chapter 476 was new. The threads were calm and there wasn't so much negativity but everything has changed so fast. After few months trolls became so active and they created servers in discord and started to form gangs to force their opinions on ppl here. They screen shot a post of x member and post in discord server then make fun of him/her with some insults then support each other with likes and posts like "I agree with that", "I have seen the light" and such. Unfortunately some ppl got influenced by this. The trolling disease and the Emoticons abuse spread like ***cer in FT section. I hope everything to be normal again in 2017.

Ft manga has declined since Tartarous due to forced plot lines, Mashima said many times that he don't know what will happen in the future and he didn't expect that FT manga would exceed volume 10. I believe he is doing what he can to keep fairy tail manga alive and i respect that, Sure many plot holes still not covered but i believe he will cover them at some point in future events.

I said hi to someone on Discord, you attacked me, Sam tried to calm things down, and you attacked him. Stop pretending to be a victim. You're arguably the most guilty of all with how you attack and criticize anyone who doesn't agree with your views or wanks Natsu or the Natsu-Lucy ship. No one who has actually seen your behavior will for one second believe you or think you're in any way innocent.

Seems like the argument above got a bit heated.
FT wasn't that good this year,too many negatives when in face with the positives,Mashima should collect his thoughts and plan for the story instead of making things on spot, otherwise the plot is gonna always be something out of nowhere.I'm gonna drop some of my opinions on the MCs this year.
-Natsu : some might already know that I really don't like Natsu. But still,I blame Mashima for that.If Mashima could handle his character good,I would have been a fan,but he is doing a bad job with the PoF and one-shots everywhere.I also believe partial END is lame

-Lucy : Let me give you a brief summary of Lucy this year, she can't keep her clothes for 5 chapters. Mashima really isn't doing good for her character as she is being used as a tool for fanservice,she hasn't been that good this year.
-Erza : Actually,and if I go back to my older self before Alvarez and say "Erza is gonna be one of the best this arc" I would be surprised.She hasn't used much PoF this arc,and her fight with Ajeel wasn't as bad as other fights this arc.But the bad thing about her this year is Irene,I believe Irene-Erza relation is unnecessary and Wendy+Erza vs Irene hasn't been that good, still better than Kyouka vs Erza though.
-Gray : Oh god,now this pains me but, Gray got treated bad this arc, Invel vs Gray was the first time he used PoF,or more likely PoL, regardless of that it ruined his character for me a bit,but his fight with Partial END killed it that fight wasn't good.
-Happy : I wasn't happy with Happy.I am still not happy with Happy.I am -probably- not gonna be happy with Happy.
-Wendy : Wendy has done so many things this arc,let me count a few :
1-She healed Juvia's death. Wendy is Ankhseram confirmed.
2-She could enchant on Irene's level.And her MP is slightly less than Irene's.
3-She hurt Irene's body and gave Erza her yet-to-be-named Armor which also could hurt Irene.
By this,I reached the conclusion of "Wendy >> Laxus".I'm hyped asf for Wendy vs August, even more than Wendy vs Acnologia.
-Brandish : Meh,I am gonna mention her alone of the fodder 11. She is the biggest hypocrite I have seen in a manga,such a bad character.She had a good intro, but a very bad outro.Hope I don't see her very much in 2017.
-Polyruisca :She got more screentime than Laxus.

Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry film was originally revealed in May 2015
The Japanese film distribution company GAGA opened a website on Saturday to reveal the Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry anime film. The website lists the film as opening in spring 2017. Fairy Tail manga creator Hiro Mashima also confirmed on Twitter on Saturday that "Dragon Cry" is the subtitle for the new film. The film's staff has also opened an official Twitter account.
