he's a noob, a series should sells better than this even if they're published in SQ....if it wants to have long life
this is an below average start, needs to improve to definitely avoid the axe
let me explain my point
I love reading authors' introduction pages, specially their fav manga section, it tells me what they think is good
last week Jekyll no Tsukaima's author had a very interesting answer when he named Double Arts and March comes in like a lion
this week's guy had a boring forgettable answer combining this with the fact I didn't like his new work as much as his old work it just rubbed me the wrong way
If you say so... SQ series rarely reaches the top 50, for me 74th is pretty reasonable.
You are judging him just because he likes popular things from Jump, for me it is the pot calling the kettle black since we are all here discussing Jump mangas and I think we discuss because we like them. His taste is not bad at all, One Piece is good, My Hero Academia is also good, Attack on Titan is successful although I don't agree about its quality. The only thing that may be out of place is Robot x Laserbeam because it would be too early to put it as favorite, but maybe he is a great fan of golf, we don't know, but RxL is also good (IMO) and is successful. If these series inspire him, he is going to good path, he can be very successful if he can follow the same path as these authors although it is easier said than done.
There is nothing wrong with his answer, his answer is more correct than the one you are praising, if you take in consideration where they are competing.
Double Arts was canceled, period. "March Comes in Like a Lion" hardly means anything to the average Jump reader, considering that it is coming from a total newbie, the readers will just ignore and will not look for it. Since the oneshots also go to the poll, he missed a chance to present something meaningful to the readers. One Piece, My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan and Robot x Laserbeam are infinitely more meaningful than Double Arts and "March Comes in Like a Lion" with all due respect.
