Leaning towards it getting a second mobile game...

But hoping its an actual PS4 Fighting game of NUNS caliber.

Probably a fighting game like One Piece Burning Blood or Nanatsu no Taizai Knights of Britannia. I'd prefer a Musou game from Koei Tecmo, but still better than that 3DS shovelware game from 2 years ago.

1.5mln is all thats needed for an anime adaptation? Surprised the barrier of entry is lowering so much now.
More like the author set the series up in such a brilliant way that not only did it lend itself to instantly becoming pretty successful, but also for getting an anime early. I think that rather than looking at the sales, Shueisha are looking at the massive marketability of the characters from Yuuna.

So based on the raw for the most recent chapter of Cross Account, I'd be shocked if it isn't wrapping up in the next couple chapters. Can't read what they're saying, but the pictures speak a thousand words in this case. I'd say 4 more chapters tops, realistically probably only 2. From the looks of it, I could picture them jamming everything remaining into 1 final chapter

Well, there's one series that we know is probably gone for sure, not surprising. I wonder what the other one will be or if they'll only axe 1 series this time around.

Ironically, Cross Account as a series became what it talked about its MC being: Mr. Harmless lol. Super easy to ignore by all of the popular series, and never really being much of a threat to anyone. The art was its biggest saving grace for me, but the story has been largely predictable for me personally. Hopefully the author can come up with a more compelling story for their next work since the artwork was really good.

As for further cuts, I can't say for sure which would be the second series to go. From what I see on here, Gintama, while ending soon, is going to last longer than Cross Account. People seem to say 10-15 more chapters, so about 2-4 more months worth of issues. The EiC seems to like the authors behind Shudan (didn't realize he wrote the Dancing Club series) and Spring Weapon, so who knows how that'll work. Spring Weapon has that popularity poll as the ace up its sleeve, so it'll be around at least until those results are published, and I don't believe it has been announced when we can expect those yet. Shudan got that graduation color page and a timeskip, but I thought its sales were actually below Cross Account's (could be wrong there). I'm also not a fan of Full Drive at all, but idk how to judge a series that's still this new.

Mangastream translated Kaijuu no Buki Shokunin miniseries by one of my boys Shuuhei Tanizaki

Like Ono, these are some of my posts in this thread lowkey shilling him since 2015

Noroi noroi no banpei: why is this not serialized yet? this could be the next big thing
does having a miniseries on Giga count?

https://myanimelist.net/manga/102871/Kaijuu_no_Buki_Shokunin

the guy that did this should really get his own manga

his oneshot Noroi noroi no banpei was great
Genki Ono, Shuuhei Tanizaki, Mitsuki Nagata are all better battle shonen writers than Takamasa Moue and Kei Minori imo

I was going to defend it with "he's young give him a break"

but then I found his name among Jump Treasure winners in 2011 and his age was 22 so he's 28 now, btw nice taste from the judge, Gorilla-sensei

he's a HXH and Kakanai Mangaka fan, so he understand, storytelling > art :mono

The girl looks really out of place. She looks like a character out of a "cute girls doing cute things" anime like New Game or something

You could say the same thing about BC. Although, people wouldn't say Tabata did anything brilliant. -_-

But BC didn't get an anime as quickly as Yuuna and for battle shounen series from Jump you can typically expect quick adaptations for sure if the series manages to survive. Romcom series from WSJ tend to take longer to get adapted. I said the setup was brilliant because the mangaka for Yuuna really pulled off what he was planning almost seamlessly, not only did he manage to setup his series in just the right way for it to immediately take off and quickly get an anime, but he also managed to make his series good and not feel manufactured to be a hit, at least imo.

I found it kind of meh it's basically Monster Hunter only with a slightly better plot. Has it been stated how long the mini-series is going to be.

Yuuna didn't take off almost immediately. I'd even argue this sudden anime is an effort to make a manufactured hit as Yuuna is as niche as they come in Jump and yet it's anime is already announced at Volume 8. Its sales, while not very important are nothing special especially when compared to To Love Ru, which was at 3.5 million copies at volume 8 compared to Yuuna's 1.5 million. Even if you add in digital, Yuuna isn't a particularly high ranker on Amazon JP, Rakuten's online store and other online retailers. To begin with, it sold well because of its inclusion of nipples. Harem in Jump+ is also doing well due to that and outsells Yuuna, rubbing shoulders with BC back in October. Harem has outsold yuuna for a while now and you can't say its due to content as they're pretty similar and Yuuna actually has more exposure than Harem due to being in the main magazine and having much more promotion.

Despite this, Harem still doesn't have an anime anywhere in sight as of this moment despite having just as much commercial potential with figures, pillows, etc.

BC is a different case as they probably wanted to put it on a daytime slot and most of them are in use. The slot they did find is a long running slot so they need a good amount of material even if they drag out the episodes. I'd argue Toriko was also a similar case as that ran for 3 years and took 3 years to get an anime despite being a traditional Battle Shounen.

Not really, vary case by case. Look up to love ru and nisekoi. Both have 2 years adaptation~

I think you're really over hyping Yuuna here. I like it as much as the next guy but it's as generic as harem romcoms come.

I just want Yuuna to be successful and grow.
That's not happening right now due to several factors.

Maybe it's because it has actual sex in its volumes? Probably hard to greenlight an anime based on that factor alone, especially for a publisher like Shueisha. I think an anime is possible though.
It does get a lot of promotion btw. It gets a bit of exposure in JP stores (it sells best at Toranoana), has a voice drama and website, and had an extra chapter in YJ. The volumes' main selling point are the extended sex scenes in volumes, which is why it's done so well up to now.

Romcoms usually take a shorter time to get adapted though, TLR and Nisekoi were announced sooner than Yuuna.
The start for Yuuna, as much as I like the manga, wasn't that great honestly. It started getting better after a bit. I agree that Miura actually plans what plot stuff he does.
I kinda have a problem with it right now though. The manga hasn't been as good to read/very inconsistent since the editor change. Maybe the editor (who also does Kimetsu, btw) doesn't know how to handle harem manga or just gives too much freedom (or too little), I dunno.
