More like the author set the series up in such a brilliant way that not only did it lend itself to instantly becoming pretty successful, but also for getting an anime early. I think that rather than looking at the sales, Shueisha are looking at the massive marketability of the characters from Yuuna.1.5mln is all thats needed for an anime adaptation? Surprised the barrier of entry is lowering so much now.
Happens all the timeTeaser for a mobile game?
Well, there's one series that we know is probably gone for sure, not surprising. I wonder what the other one will be or if they'll only axe 1 series this time around. So based on the raw for the most recent chapter of Cross Account, I'd be shocked if it isn't wrapping up in the next couple chapters. Can't read what they're saying, but the pictures speak a thousand words in this case. I'd say 4 more chapters tops, realistically probably only 2. From the looks of it, I could picture them jamming everything remaining into 1 final chapter
Ironically, Cross Account as a series became what it talked about its MC being: Mr. Harmless lol. Super easy to ignore by all of the popular series, and never really being much of a threat to anyone. The art was its biggest saving grace for me, but the story has been largely predictable for me personally. Hopefully the author can come up with a more compelling story for their next work since the artwork was really good.Well, there's one series that we know is probably gone for sure, not surprising. Noroi noroi no banpei: why is this not serialized yet? this could be the next big thing
does having a miniseries on Giga count?

the guy that did this should really get his own manga
his oneshot Noroi noroi no banpei was great
Genki Ono, Shuuhei Tanizaki, Mitsuki Nagata are all better battle shonen writers than Takamasa Moue and Kei Minori imo
Does the artist hate backgrounds?Mangastream translated Kaijuu no Buki Shokunin miniseries by one of my boys Shuuhei Tanizaki

You could say the same thing about BC. Although, people wouldn't say Tabata did anything brilliant. -_-More like the author set the series up in such a brilliant way that not only did it lend itself to instantly becoming pretty successful, but also for getting an anime early. But BC didn't get an anime as quickly as Yuuna and for battle shounen series from Jump you can typically expect quick adaptations for sure if the series manages to survive. Romcom series from WSJ tend to take longer to get adapted. I said the setup was brilliant because the mangaka for Yuuna really pulled off what he was planning almost seamlessly, not only did he manage to setup his series in just the right way for it to immediately take off and quickly get an anime, but he also managed to make his series good and not feel manufactured to be a hit, at least imo.You could say the same thing about BC. I found it kind of meh it's basically Monster Hunter only with a slightly better plot. Has it been stated how long the mini-series is going to be.Mangastream translated Kaijuu no Buki Shokunin miniseries by one of my boys Shuuhei Tanizaki

Like Ono, these are some of my posts in this thread lowkey shilling him since 2015
Yuuna didn't take off almost immediately. I'd even argue this sudden anime is an effort to make a manufactured hit as Yuuna is as niche as they come in Jump and yet it's anime is already announced at Volume 8. Its sales, while not very important are nothing special especially when compared to To Love Ru, which was at 3.5 million copies at volume 8 compared to Yuuna's 1.5 million. Even if you add in digital, Yuuna isn't a particularly high ranker on Amazon JP, Rakuten's online store and other online retailers. To begin with, it sold well because of its inclusion of nipples. Harem in Jump+ is also doing well due to that and outsells Yuuna, rubbing shoulders with BC back in October. Harem has outsold yuuna for a while now and you can't say its due to content as they're pretty similar and Yuuna actually has more exposure than Harem due to being in the main magazine and having much more promotion. But BC didn't get an anime as quickly as Yuuna and for battle shounen series from Jump you can typically expect quick adaptations for sure if the series manages to survive. Not really, vary case by case. Look up to love ru and nisekoi. Both have 2 years adaptation~Romcom series from WSJ tend to take longer to get adapted. I think you're really over hyping Yuuna here. I like it as much as the next guy but it's as generic as harem romcoms come. But BC didn't get an anime as quickly as Yuuna and for battle shounen series from Jump you can typically expect quick adaptations for sure if the series manages to survive. Maybe it's because it has actual sex in its volumes? Probably hard to greenlight an anime based on that factor alone, especially for a publisher like Shueisha. I think an anime is possible though.Yuuna didn't take off almost immediately. Despite this, Harem still doesn't have an anime anywhere in sight as of this moment despite having just as much commercial potential with figures, pillows, etc.
BC is a different case as they probably wanted to put it on a daytime slot and most of them are in use. The slot they did find is a long running slot so they need a good amount of material even if they drag out the episodes. I'd argue Toriko was also a similar case as that ran for 3 years and took 3 years to get an anime despite being a traditional Battle Shounen.
