But did she affect them because of the significant nature of "let there be light"? If she didnt use let there be light, but rather the same type of blast Ludo did, would it have been more effective?
I believe so, since her magic power is much stronger than Ludoshel, an offensive ark blast would've had significant levels of effectiveness in comparison to the angels.
Elizabeth's purification spell placed these Indura's at the threshold of being purified, if Elizabeth had poured all of her magic into one giant offensive ark blast (or something else that is offensive by nature) I believe she would've done mortal damage, but would've failed to ultimately kill them.
I'm merely questioning the differences in attack really. Ludo himself attacked Indura's in their entirety while Elizabeth went beyond that and targeted their very core. Not Derriere, or Monspiet, but the Indura's themselves.
Elizabeth still has to target the Indura's body to get to their very core in order to purify the darkness, its the same for Ludoshel, because after all, ark breaks down darkness with particles of light, and since darkness seems to be part and parcel of a demon's nature (e.g darkness resides inside them), it's the same journey realistically both Elizabeth and Ludoshel take, but they reach a different end result.
Plus, Elizabeth's light was able to be physically resisted by the Indura, same with Ludoshel, meaning the Indura's resisted both spells in the same manner.
In simple terms, Ludoshel's light causes a reaction inside the Indura's bodies that results in damage, Elizabeth does the same thing but merely has a result of purification.
It's hard for me to compare those two attacks when they had different natures.
Different natures?
First of all, both spells are presumably fall under the category of ark, so their basic and core nature is the same (i.e - they both have the same levels of effectiveness against darkness)
Second, the routes they take are essentially the same. Both spells target the darkness inside the enemy's body and come out with different results.
Ark naturally targets the darkness that is part and parcel of a demon's biology, but merely Ludoshel intends to destroy and cause harm rather than purify.
Even if we assume her magic is higher, the difference in spells is still quite clear. I dont deny that her ark is more versatile however, and even more powerful when it comes to purging, but does it really pack more of a punch?
It should do.
If her magic power (PL) is higher than Ludoshel's, then it should mean that all of her ark abilities at full power, are superior to his ark at full power e.g healing, purifying and even offensive ark.
She's certainly more versatile and a much more skilled healer that's true. I do think that versatility is one of the benefits of her being the SD's daughter in that she has more overall access to different techniques.
If you can agree that the benefits of being the Supreme Goddesses only daughter means her ark has more versatility and power in healing, do you agree this applies to Elizabeth's purifying and offensive ark skills/power then?
I believe people undermine the hereditary of Elizabeth's character far too easily. Sure, being the SG's daughter alone is not enough to be immediately classed as AA tier or higher, I understand that, but at the same time, I imagine being the only child of a literal God means she has access to exclusive abilities and potential that no other Goddess in her clan has. even the angels. Hell, it's not just coincidence that Zeldris and Meliodas are the strongest in the clan in the hierarchy of: Demon King > Meliodas > Zeldris > Masters > Everyone else.
So if Nakaba is consistent, shouldn't it be: Supreme Goddess > Elizabeth > Four Archangels (discounting graces for obvious reasons)?
Isn't Ludo in a weakened form as well though? I'll have to go re-check if he's at full power or not
I'm actually still confused on Ludoshel's position with his magic power whilst residing within Margaret.
He comments regularly that she is the perfect vessel, which is implies that he is able to conjure the full power of his magic power that he possessed back in his original body. After all, Sariel and Tarmiel's hosts were mere average humans, but Margaret seems to be a special and exclusive host.
I think Ludoshel having access to his full magic power makes sense, because after all, he did contest Zeldris, was able to minimally injure him with a basic ark, and extended his prowess by blocking his magic attack like ''child's play''.
So Ludoshel, isn't weakened magically it seems potentially, but rather is finding difficult in controlling his power inside a host, as he commented during his encounter with Zeldris.
Though, I would argue that Ludoshel inside Margaret's body still has the same physical capabilities as the princess, unless Flash (which is a magic power) alters the speed of her body, but leave the other physical features of her body alone (e.g durability).
As for Elizabeth, she definitely gets a point for bruising Mel, which is why I have always placed her at the 60-90k range. I just don't know if she breaks the 100k range
Even at 80,000 or 90,000 - it still places Elizabeth at AA tier or very close.
Personally, to me she is at AA tier, and is on par, slightly weaker, or slightly stronger in PL to Ludoshel, since she has wings very comparable to him. She's simply a physically weaker AA but in turn has stronger ark/magic to the other angels.
Although if the grace makes up for a majority of the archangels power level then you very well may be right in that she has higher magic. It depends on if the grace's work like the commandments do where they act as add-ons/weapons, or if they contribute to power level as a whole.
Besides sunshine, the graces do not influence PL and are merely magical abilities that extend the battle prowess of the Four Archangels.
If you took away Ocean, Tornado, or Flash from the respective angel, they wouldn't lose any PL technically, but would weaken realistically due to losing very powerful magical abilities.
So Sariel or Tarmiel at a potential 90,000 PL, wouldn't lose any PL without their graces. Same for Ludoshel.
Mael with sunshine, or Escanor with sunshine is an exception, since the fundamental nature of the grace itself influences PL, the other 3 however do not influence PL.
The commandments are the same, when held by the user, they merely reside as passive curse abilities that bind the owner and everyone else around them (except to those with immunity) to their conditions. For example, Galan holding the truth commandment merely grants him with the curse ability of truth, binding everyone around him (and himself) to turn to stone if they tell any lies. Holding a commandment doesn't influence PL, and this makes sense considering the Demon King created these curses in order to bring the chaotic Demonic realm under his control. He wanted stability and control, and by having these commandments that: make demons tell the truth, keep faith in their leader, can't betray their leader (piety) and etc, he can do this successfully.
Now commandments when being held do not influence PL, take away the truth commandment from Galan and his PL stays the same, however his PL can increase if he decides to absorb the commandment. Granted, not everybody can absorb a commandment successfully as there's a specific process for it, but fundamentally absorbing a commandment increases your PL (as you as taking in the 5% of DK's power) but lose the respective curse passive ability in the process.
Same should apply to the graces, though I'd wonder why you would want to absorb sunshine given it makes the weakest character in the shower with it able to take out the future demon king at its peak
