More than defense, it was reply to ur generalized statement of offense on us stating the obvious , which on contrary was indeed a reply to a free pass given before to others and singling out ging.

Aren't you the one giving him a free pass "because all parents in HxH suck"? You guys in the first place made the argument that Ging suckiness is less sucky because all characters suck. Not me, I was just solely talking about Ging, not anyone else. Yes, most parents in HxH suck. That's actually imho one theme of HxH - lot of the personal misery in the series comes from poor parenting, including Gon plunge to despair for losing his closest thing to a father-figure.

So ? When did i single out ging ? I am giving free pass to all in this series, ain't I ?
Because i m not really looking for tht moralism and applied irl criterias on a behavior of an individual in context of their relationships.

Then why so hard to drive on the whatabout-ism? Whatabout other parents-argument. Besides it's not only about being a sucky parent - he has been rude to most of the characters he interacts with in one manner or other. He is quite arrogant and not considerate at all. I think he is a great character too, but he really is ass.

False - because we do not know the full circumstances of that story. Maybe he wasn't a Revolutionary Leader at the point he decided to have Luffy? Maybe he was just on ordinary guy then. Maybe Garp "confiscated" Luffy only after some uncontrollable events lead Dragon to become too radical. We just simply know as much about that story as we know about Gings story. Sure, Dragon could be as much of an dick - but we simply do not know that yet. We know nothing on his history or motivations or personality. We do know some of Gings. Based on surface factors we know that Dragon is doing noble things (maybe, just maybe, for selfish reasons) and Ging is doing just things that he finds fun (sometimes noble, sometimes not so).

What i mean is by time luffy was born, it is imperative he had made up his mind. Basically, yeah , noble but selfish things. We can go on in a loop abt this .

I think Killua could be first. But Kurapika is definitely very popular here. They are the only ones who can outrank Hisoka here IMO.

Well of course, I didn't quote anyone specifically exactly because I didn't want anyone to feel attacked. I just thought the discourse was weird and wanted to verbalize that. "The free pass" you are talking about essentially is whataboutism. If someone condemns some action in one case, that someone isn't obliged to mention every single one of similar kind of offence in all the cases.

Inclinations exactly, but nothing solid. It's a fact that we still know very little about Dragon, his motivations and personality. We know rather lot about Ging. Thus I don't think it is fair to make some sort weird dualism in "Well if you think Ging sucks, then you should think Dragon suck as well". You weren't the one doing that direct comparison though.

For me the best Royal Guard by far. Play- and cheerful, but also fiercely loyal. Her character development was just...

Gender Confusion

The only concrete evidence we have to determine Neferpitou's gender appears in the official databook "Hunter × Hunter Character and Word Data Book." In it, Neferpitou is referred to using the pronoun "彼” (kare) which is usually translated to “he.”[13][14] When speaking, Neferpitou uses the pronoun “boku,” (translated to “I” in English) which is used by both boys and girls in Japan.
Colt referred Neferpitou in anime at one point as "she".
Pitou's differences
Neferpitou is shown naked with a flat chest[15]. Later in the manga, Neferpitou is described like a "mother" protecting a child[16]. In the cover of Volume 28 which is implied to be based off the coronation of Virgin Mary, Neferpitou takes the middle position which corresponds to Virgin Mary's.
From all this, it should be assumed that Neferpitou does not have a specific or “confirmed” gender. Although for the purposes of this article, it seems easier to use the pronoun “he” when referring to Neferpitou, considering that “he” has historically been used as gender neutral language in English.
In the manga, Togashi’s depiction of Neferpitou's body is a male, drawing Neferpitou's chest as totally flat. In contrast, the 2011 anime may depict Neferpitou as a female by giving him a prominent bust.
So, it is possible to that Neferpitou's gender in the manga differs from the anime

The most badass man of them all. He's always been a fun character, as early as him playing ball with Gon and Killua His power is epic af, and so was he. As laidback as he was often shown, he can be just as fierce when it really matters. His fight against Meruem was awesome, and probably what made most of us put him on this list. And boy did he go out with a bang, literally. It was a tragic win in more ways than one. Sometimes wonder how things would have turned out if he hadn't used "that", but maybe it was better this way...

The regular badass old man. There is still a lot that we don't know about him and I guess we'll get to that via Beyond.

His fight against Meruem was one of the best indeed and HK is quite scary. But I think his strength is overrated by the fandom. With what he has shown I don't see why many put him above the RGs. I could see him defeat Pitou and Pouf under certain scenarios but definitely not Youpi. As strong as Meruem was he was a fighter with no ranged attack. Youpi could have defeated him fairly easily IMO.

Awyeeeah, Isaac Netero's in da hooouuuse~!

I always found him to be this quirky and chill grandpa figure – which isn't untrue, but I wish we could've been formally introduced to his true powers before his epic showdown with Meruem. Woooweee this guy can throw a punch, hehe! Despite his impossible speed and strength I thought it was freaking awesome that he wasn't too cool to ask for help, which he proved by requesting assistance from my main homeboy Zeno for the palace invasion – so extra props for that.

I have nothing but the upmost respect for Netero. His prowess made the ant king himself experience a whole new world of emotions: Joy, fear, but mostly respect.

I always get emotional at that moment in Netero's backstory when the narrator states that his conclusion after reaching the pinnacle of martial arts was pure and genuine gratitude. It's such a powerful and beautiful statement.

However, a sad tragedy starts when our old legend transcends his own limits after years and years of throwing punches in the wild: He has no equal anymore! he was just too strong! and as a martial artist striving to test his skills, that bore him beyond anything else!!
This mirrors in a way what Meruem was going through (or at least would've gone through had he not met Komugi). So them clashing in the end is just poetic.

During their fight, as Netero finally found the mighty opponent he sought, had once again nothing but gratitude. The emotions thrown in that fight were intense. Then add to the mix the right music when the action is at its utmost heat, and the scene becomes perfect:

Which blasts her (yes I'll go with her) multiple kilometers away, even more if she didn't use a trick to stop getting blown away. Prime Netero probably was almost unbeatable lol. Not quite sure if he could beat every RG, probably would be a harsh fight for all of them, but I don't think he would go down easily either.
