However, a sad tragedy starts when our old legend transcends his own limits after years and years of throwing punches in the wild: He has no equal anymore! he was just too strong! and as a martial artist striving to test his skills, that bore him beyond anything else!!
This mirrors in a way what Meruem was going through (or at least would've gone through had he not met Komugi). So them clashing in the end is just poetic.

Ah btw underrated character everyone (including myself) forgot is the narrator! Especially during the CA arc, some of the information we get are things we could have only gotten through him. Especially in that scene Netero blows himself up, and the narrator is like 'That was the first time Mereum felt fear' or sth. If Mereum had 'thought' or said something that indicated his fear, the perception of Mereum by the reader would have been tainted a bit. The narrator allowed Togashi to 'tell instead of show' important internal developments that involve vulnerability on Mereums part, without at any point taking away from the Kings OP image

My heart compltetely broke during his fight against Meruem everytime he got hurt. Especially when he was all crumpled at the end. I don't like seeing old people get hurt.

I think Netero is just okay. I like how lot of the characters in HxH break their usual trope a little, but Netero doesn't really cut it. Even if he is little unconventional, he is still the eccentric but strong old leader figure. I like him but, he just doesn't really shine to me.

Not quite sure if he could beat every RG, probably would be a harsh fight for all of them, but I don't think he would go down easily either.

Netero was certainly much more skilled than any of them. But the thing is that in terms of Aura and durability, Meruem and the RG were far above. Meruem needed his analytic skills to manage to reach Netero, but he had the leisure to analyze like this because his durability was so good that he could take his attacks, even Zero Hand didn't injure him that much. Pitou would do far worse than Meruem but Youpi wouldn't have much issues.

Surprisingly popular, but I'm pleasently surprised Bisky sorta seems like your stereotype "gorilla woman" (and she is in a way lol) at first, but she's got some real charm She wants to maintain that lady image, even though she isn't really, but the contrast makes her pretty interesting and funny. Also the good kind of tsundere, because she really cares for others. She was an awesome teacher for Gon and Killua, too. Loved how her and Killua bounced off each other A tough love for sure :3

She's adorable and kind, but also not someone to mess with, or she'll give you hell. I think I didn't like her too much when I first read the manga, but she really grew on me with the anime and she continues to prove that. Also her design got better and better for me, think she's at her best in the current arc. And last but not least, she's a stronger fighter! Almost the perfect mix you could say, almost...

As much as I like strategy in battle there is a limit to what it can do when the gap is too wide. I can't think of a way for Netero to defeat Youpi with the ability that he has. Youpi can shapeshit at will and has ranged attacks. Netero's moves are palm strikes and a Aura Beam using his own life force. There is not much room for creativity.

As Cheadle said I think it was quite clear that he wanted his one on one with Meruem. Ants were stronger than all Humans in pure raw stats but with more Pros with suitable abilities they could have been defeated more easily. I am not sure about these kind of ability interactions. Like there are some who believe that Coercive Manipulation doesn't work on people stronger and stuff. I think Mizai's would work, but we have yet to see how Saiyu's works. Shoot for example needs to inflict damage to steal, but his damages too Youpi were too minor. I doubt Saiyu can still with one hit, it'd be too broken.

Naw the ants were superior in almost every way (considering they learnt their jutsu in only a few days). Humans would have gotten bodied if not for the nuke

Biscuiiiiit is awesome. I find her very ladylike in both form, actually I wish she would embrace her beefy form. Just because she doesn't look like your average woman doesn't make her less beautiful. Being average sucks. And I really don't see how looking like a child is more lady like honestly. Her dynamic with Killua was hilarious. She made GI more interesting and was a great mentor. Probably why she's here and Wing isn't...unless he surprisingly made it to the top 7 ?? Who knows.

Though I don't really think her normal form makes her look like a child, and I'm totally fine with her wanting to look more cute. With her it's more of an innocent wish, and embracing that is perfectly valid. Would be another thing if it was a trauma or obsession, but she doesn't hesitate to use it when she feels she has to. She's found a good middle ground that works for her, so I definitely respect that
