My biggest gripe would not be the romanization changes, I can easily fix these over myself, it would be the full name changes. The german and english ones have some pretty wild ones and I always get the feeling the translators want to add their own touch over someone else's work.I'll only say that being the official English translation definitely doesn't make it necessarily a good translation. Zolo being the best example of that.
In a series that uses multiple languages for unique names, it is best not to translate them at all, else you break the immersion. Oda at least frequently also uses English, German, Spanish, French...
Only titles should be translated, character names, place names and attack names should be left untouched and any puns be explained by notes.
All of Oda's creation holds kinda deep meaning compared to other works, meaning in regards to meta constructs that then guide you through what this story is actually all about. The Laugh Tale one being the most obvious example as that didn't even work out in Japan, a country used to twist foreign words to suit their script.
