In my opinion, Erza is the character who did the most in Albaress Arc : fought the first Spriggan, erased Historias and feared Neinhart, help people and Makarov against soldiers, stopped END and Grey who were about to kill each other, fought the strongest female Spriggan, crashed Acnologia on the boat.



She is already part of as the leader of the MC team.



It depends of the circumstances but they are even. One can be above, depending of the circumstance.
Laxus is not jobbing around, he is a massive destructor. Erza is a diesel who jobs the first part of all battles until reverses the situation and overpowers her foe.
Laxus is like a spear, ultimate offensive. Erza is like the shield, ultimate defensive.
Or, by analogy with Marvel, Laxus is like Thor and Erza is like the Hulk.

Then why Erza fans complain that mashima shits on her. She gets more screentime than Lucy who's MC. Only character Erza doesn't suck screentime from is natsu cuz one way or the other natsu's going to have to fight the big bad.

Well, if you want. We saw how superior was Laxus in their battle. And the circumstances about fighting a powerful friend who doesn't want a simple "querell between friends" and asked her to stop holding back is not an excuse. Still, they both fall out of Magic Reserve.

So yes, you can complain all you want, they are even. Laxus is the causal strongest of the two, Erza can tap into emotions to amp her stats with great portions, just like Natsu. They are different ways to fight.

Then why Erza fans complain that mashima shits on her. She gets more screentime than Lucy who's MC.

I am not complaining at all. My complain is more for Grey who also is in the MC team. But you can't understnad because, like or Erza, you hate both characters.

I use to like gray back in og series but now author only cares for shipping so I don't see any importance for his character. As for plotza I use to not like her then I try to understand why people like her so much then I just never really cared about her much again. To be honest I'm even happy she's less involved with the plot than the OG series

Lol no way. I'm enjoying it cuz of how ignia was trolling selene. And I liked the panel of how ignia and natsu eyes didn't appear when ignia was talking about igneel because both natsu and ignia knew that igneel was truly the strongest and he lost. It felt like how a senior brother and junior brother were talking it's like they were understanding each other.

You have my thoughts in the Power ranking thread where I answered a friend about Suzaku's first hype : below, the part for Selene. I prefered when she was Chaotic, more charism, more unpredictable. Jellal's redemption is clear for me and all justified. Not her changement. I think it's a shame and a bad writting here. But like for Erza, it's only my opinions, so I respect different points of view.

Mashima even reinvented all of Selene’s personality so that Selene, originally bearer of Chaos on different Planes of Existence, becomes a victim aiming to destroy her fellow beings no longer for her anarchic pleasure but for the Salvation of Humanity. No sense causing confusion to the reader 2.

I hope vierness doesn't get denerfed. At this point I rather take a temp powerup from natsu than vierness getting denerf. Vierness shouldn't disappoint, I hope Hiro doesn't get tired midway and then bombs the whole arc. I'm not interested in Signora sisters and Athena. I think Wendy will be get new feats to and maybe another powerup. As for gray......?

I don't think suzaku knows the meaning of what a tyrant is. I mean how's selene any different from George. She literally forced this guys to accept her as their master . Holy fuck the retcon is so bad I'm literally laughing anytime I see post ignia selene. This is definitely what happens when you get a reality check and you realize you actually ain't shit

And don't forget tentacles, almost every arc Space manga has some kind of tentacles.
fan service does not bother me in itself, I literally have manga that i read just for that, it's when it is shoved down too much when it's not necessary,
In fight clothes gets torn off, thats good, than enemy teases you (usually girls), ok. than goes into rope bondage, enough, than Pulls out candle, OK we get it. all these to just pad pages in chapter or runtime in episode.

I thought Mashima would give Gray a customized version of Invel's ice armor as a buff, but so far that hasn't happened. I feel that armor is too powerful a spell to be forgotten.

Perhaps in this arc Mashima will remember this spell when writing Gray's fight.

Regarding this arc, I feel that the first part will focus on neutralizing the Alchemists, while the secondary part will be how to deal with Vierness.

Of secondary plot, the zodiac keys must represent something important. Keys would likely be seen as important materials for Alchemy. Remembering that all 12 Zodiac Keys must be present in this arc, which includes Aquarius (and probably Brandish).

Perhaps the Zodiac Keys are used to improve Athena's performance against Vierness.

I hope that in this arc Mashima gives us the combination of Taurus + Scorpion or Taurus + Cancer. I feel that any combination of Star Dress
with Taurus will turn Lucy into an excellent close-range fighter.

As for Wendy, I'm extremely curious how Mashima will handle her. Continues with the power progress she had with Irene's help or reset her evolution according to her "old" power level (without Irene). Everything will depend on which opponent Wendy will fight and how well she performs.

Hunm, Erza, I think Mashima wants to forget that the Nakagami armor exists. It's a little funny how no of armor she acquires or enchantment surpasses Nakagami in terms of power and utility.

Natsu... I believe he will remain in the same inconstancy of power. One moment he's a god, in another scenario, he is defeated or takes major wounds against average mages.

I think only Sting and Rogue will be relevant to the main storyline of the arc, especially Sting. Mashima seems to like the character.

I still hope for some power up for Erza and Wendy at least, It feels so wrong for her to leave series just by saving Selene. or Beta heaven moment with Erza (What Natsu had with Zeref and Mavis).
Also my theory on Athena, that she was rebuild using Eileen's body, She looks like Space Mangas Acnoella who was Elcys (Space Erzas) mom, who used to look like Eileen in past before changing into robot. I wouldn't use it as solid proof, but We all know Hiro likes to reuse plots and character traits from his other Mangas,
Example: Eileen and Acnoella both were Mother of Dragons. Rebeca and ELLI both Use "guns" and have secret important power some villains wanted to steal.
