Well, given the fact that most can afford it, I see nothing wrong here. I wouldn't mind income based tax plan, where taxes are proportionate to income. I mean, if few wealthy people can donate so much and pay taxes, then tax increase won't do much.

Also, Planned Parenthood won in Texas, and the videographers are being indicted for lying. Justice. And more reason to vote for Bernie, he actually believes in freedom for people, not oppression for the ones who aren't straight, white males.

Ugh I thought they finally had them :( I will not give up hopefully, hopefully this terrible organization can be brought down and the needless ceaseless killing of poor helpless babies can be halted

How much mroe do they need to be taxed? They are already paying the most taxes. http://taxfoundation.org/blog/top-1-percent-pays-more-taxes-bottom-90-percent
I have my doubts about that site being a reliable source. A while back didn't you show a link to the saying trump had a decent tax proposal? However looking a bit further a more than decent number of tax experts seemed to think trump's tax plan bordered between fantasy and outright idiocy. I don't really know the site but that alone is enough to warrant some serious doubt.

It's a conservative thinktank, clearly. Not sure they can be trusted for objective given their history and the fact that plenty Republicans want to get rid of the IRS entirely. They're clearly have motives.

I figured that much. Looking around there are quite a few people who point out how unreliable they are but I haven't yet found a source that seems completely reliable in proving that. Well, paul krugman hates them but he leans way more left than even I do (and in context I am not even properly leftist, setting aside republican insanity everywhere in the world I would be considered as leaning right or at worst center right)...

Sure, tax the rich higher. Lets just give them more of a reason to move their companies and capital overseas. Bernie Sanders wants to turn the US into Europe and you can see how well the economy is doing there.

The more you tax something the less you get of it. Tax investment and capital income higher you just get people investing and putting their money somewhere else.

The US is simply spending way too much money. It consistently spends more than it gets each year, and the debt just keep pilling up. There are more people on welfare, both on total numbers and percentage wise, than in any time in history.

I find most pro-lifers to be bunch of hypocrites. Where are they after the baby is born? Majority of the pro-lifers I've talked to are against supporting a family, even children.

And if you actually did your research, which I know you haven't given you're a republican, you'd see Planned Parenthood does far more than abortion. They actually provide healthcare for women and are a safe place to go to, and if pro-lifers actually had the common sense and intelligence to look at it like that, then they'd leave the organization alone.

But I see you have no problem with the videographers lying or republicans knowing about the lie and spreading it. Just another typical double standards. This whole ridiculous thing with Planned Parenthood seriously pisses me off because idiots are basically denying women free and safe healthcare just to hypocritically save fetuses, when they stop giving a shit after the fetuses are born. Women have a right to safe healthcare and have a right to decide what to do with their bodies, whether that's to get an abortion or whatever else.

I could seriously go on a long, angered rant on this. Some of these "pro-lifers" even fucking attack the centers and don't give a shit about taking lives, which is the OPPOSITE OF BEING PRO-LIFE IN THE FIRST PLACE

Thought you'd know by now not to trust any link a republican posts. I'd say democrats either, but I'm not sure on that either. Think Progressive is good because they seem to be unbiased enough to criticize Bernie for not knowing exactly how the Supreme Court works.

Just more proof that most wealthy are too greedy to do what's good for the country.

One good step is to reduce warfare and defense budget. Again, we don't need to spend $500bil with so little to show for it, and if other countries can build a proficient defense on less budget, so can we. The money can be used to help people on welfare or make it easier for them to pay off student loans and make colleges and universities cheaper. I consider the whole buying new/updated editions of book scam when there's barely any change.

Dude, other countries rely massively on the US for defense. The NATO wouldn't have any where near the muscle it has if the US wasn't there. If it wasn't for the US, Germany would have taken over Europe during WWII, etc.

Hypothetically, if the US did not existed, Russia and China could probably get together and take over the entire world in less than a year.

I am not saying that all that money needs to be spend, and getting into super costly wars in foreign lands is part of the reason why the US is in such a bad shape (the Irak war in particular, which Hillary Clinton supported btw) but your point is way to simplistic.

Why the hate for the site, I think they provide a great comprehensive job with taxes and the candidates. None of their writings ever suggested to me that they leaned for or against any candidate in particular.

Not a candidate specifically but the site certainly has an ideological factor to it. Setting aside it's support for trump's plan, which as I have pointed out has been panned as something between fantasy and idiocy by virtually everyone else, every other link you have provided (along with a couple others pages I have checked) makes the point that raising taxes is bad and lowering them is good, always. Such a thing is enough to evidence how biased they are. They are a tax organization that is supposed to give unbiased tax information but they are almost overt in their dislike of taxes.

Yet, how much of the money spent on defense actually helps out other countries and the US? Surely everyone can do with reducing the budget, at least until they prove they deserve to get $500bil when a portion of it could be used to improve the country. If we're not in a good place, then how can we help other countries?

Yes, I know US saved the Allies' asses in two different wars. :) Doesn't justify spending billions of dollars on defense and warfare or havin countries depend on us.

Debatable, that is. That's a simplistic way of looking at things. Even if that happened, England would bomb those commies' asses!

Also loving how Planned Parenthood are getting not guilty in other states because shockingly (dripped with sarcasm), no one can find any wrongdoing done by the organization. I'm sure if they looked into the republican party, they can find plenty of wrongdoings though. Or some with democrats. I hope the candidates will leave Planned Parenthood alone.

I don't think the hypothetical of the US not being a thing is relevant here. In the end the US exists... And ultimate I doubt there is much of a chance of a war between the US and russia/china. The US and china are way to closely relate through trade, we are talking about hundreds of billions of dollars. Even the slightest fear of war would cripple both economies. Russian economy is to crippled at the moment to really do much. Oil prices and sanctions have affected russia way more than putin would ever admit. If there ever is a confrontation rusia and the US it would likely be no more than a small confrontation in a remote nation... All in all the US economy right now is rather solid (safe for the markets going down last week) whereas the russian and chinese economies are somewhat absolutely screwed. The simple fact is that the US economy has recovered incredibly over the last few years and the idea that rusia or china have the economy, technology or military strength to compete with the US in those regard is simply not based on any facts. And to top it all off, US allies have a rather favorable view of the US right now, at least better than during the past decades. The way I see it the US is not only the most powerful nation in the world, it's the most powerful it has ever been...

They dont have to have children and a family until they are financially stable and well established. Clearly if the military was increased in size then more people could go into the military, leading to increased jobs in numerous industries, leading to, more women working, thereby increasing the amount of women on insurance, and being able to use it for having children, childcare, and more. If someone is going to make bad life decisions and cause ME to bear the financial weight of their burden due to downstream effects (meaning I have to pay more in healthcare and taxes), then I think it is logical that I would get to have a say in the matter. Therefore, we should not have such an organization that provides support for people who make bad life decisions. More jobs and financial stability for people will cause less people to make bad life decisions, so instead of funding such useless organizations we fund job creation. In other cases, children can be put into the foster care system or sent to group homes.

Hospitals and primary physicians are more than capable of handling healthcare needs and healthcare education. Better health education and programs that teach abstinence in schools is able to thwart the need for baby killing and making bad life decisions.

Well, society and individuals by extension have to deal with the "bad decisions" with or without planned parenthood. Planned parenthood isn't just abortions: Going by wikipedia:
That said, helping people out with birth control, cancer screening, medical advise... all of that actually saves money in the long term for taxpayers. I have my own reservations about abortions however with the amount of services provided with planned parenthood a significant number of them can be prevented in the first place by merely educating people.

That stuff can easily be done by regular healthcare facilities, they probably even get doctors who are already hired by such facilities to do these things. Its just redundancy for funding something that is already redundant, a waste of money.

You do know the foster care system is supported by the government, right?

Well, you are right in that other facilities could offer those services but isn't the issue that they simply don't because of abstinence only policies and whatnot? Even though the idea of abstinence only policies simply has not worked in the past, it does not work currently and the idea that it will ever work is simply stupid? I would agree with you if other facilities offered those services but at least as far as the evidence goes it does not seem to be the case at all, the US is exceptionally backwards in this regard (no other developed nation would see this as anything but moronic as far as I can tell).

I'm not sure if these people are ignorant or just stupid...this entire matter was settled 40 years ago. There's no point in rehashing it as it's really irrelevant to issues that actually matter. If you don't believe in abortion, then don't have one. No one is forcing you to. I'm not even sure if I'd want someone I was with to have one myself, but guess what? That doesn't mean that decision should be made for women by the government.

Foster care would eliminate the need for abortions, and the people who are selected are already financially stable and have jobs, they wouldnt need that much help from the government especially if the aim is to get the kids to be adopted and permanently apart of the family, not just temporary guests.

I think doctors are required to do some pro bono work, so just make some of that stuff part of their "volunteering/giving back" and there is little to no cost incurred. Plus the patients would already have jobs and employee sponsored or private healthcare, so the patients would eventually be contributing some money.

That's so naive dude. You don't see the horror stories that kids stuck in the foster care system tell? I'm not trying to use too broad of a brush, but the fact remains, foster parents receive a lot of money from the government...and that money isn't appearing out of thin air and it trumps anything Planned Parenthood receives many times over. But abortion doesn't exist simply to reduce the burden on the state, it's matter of personal freedom. Go read Roe vs Wade, it's cut and dry.

I don't know where you got that idea, but that isn't true at all. Physicians who accept medicaid are already basically working for free, especially since there is no doctor or hospital who doesn't have bills left unpaid.
