Even if you had some sort of baseline reasoning for disagreeing with "accepted" medical opinion, choosing a raving lunatic who believes in astral intercourse, alien dna, and demon sperm as your champion discredits everything you say. What they are doing has nothing to do with truth, masks or chloroquine... You can have any debate within a scientific context but it will obviously have to be framed around evidence and multiple peer reviewed studies showing said evidence. The vast majority of folk in the scientific community agree in that masks are pretty damn effective at stopping the spread of the virus and the actual studies that exists show hydroxichloroquine simply doesn't do anything either as a preventative treatment or as a cure. So.... what reason is there to listen to these folk when what they are doing has nothing do with medicine or the scientific process?

Well, sure, but peer review also does not involve peddling substances whose effectiveness has not been proven to the masses. These people absolutely 100% do not have any peer reviewed studies showing the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine at curing, treating, or preventing covid19. If they did they'd simply show them rather than do literally everything they are doing.

As for the bold part.... no, those are 100% relevant to the topic. I mean, how is it not concerning that someone who for some reason people are listening to for medical advise is raving on about sperm demons and succubi?

Lets be real here, even IF fauci were to debase himself to give that raving lunatic the time of the day and actually go through with this then the moment the tests turn out negative they will simply say the test was faked. I honestly think Trump continues to push it because he already said it worked and is pathologically incapable of admitting he was wrong. And Trump's administration has, to my understanding, used government grants to stock up on hydroxuchloroquine. I wouldn't be surprised if one of his stooges actually invested in it knowing trump would promote it. The drug isn't unreliable, it's simply -to the best of our current knowledge based on existing studies- ineffective at treating covid19.

I want a 2000-4000$ stimulus check (for single fillers, 2K for each dependent). Maybe lower the $600 to 400$ but add in relief for rent (cancel all rent). And $10K to student debt relief or cancel

I'm not sure how helpful that'll be compared to getting at least $500 per week that helps with bills. That's at least $2,000 per month, and if until December, then about $8000.

I doubt it, there are people, especially republican voters, who are against their own self-interest and will oppose the weekly relief because "free stuff sucks!!" They've been brainwashed pretty badly to be against anything good for them.

i think his point is that some developing nations have limited testing, specially asian and some dont want to do testing so that their numbers dont go up...there have been news articles in other countries that say that... But that doesnt make his post any less absurd... cos when you consider percentages of population infected tested, in terms of those percentages, these countries are fairing way better than the US...

alright, i checked some stats online:
checking the total number of tests, and number of positive cases, here are some numbers;

USA : 9%
Russia : 3%
India : 7.5%
UK: 3%

Now i wasn't able to find Brazil, but even if Ithe other nations were not testing, the absolute numbers would get affected, the percentages would only shift marginally.....
