POWER

ACTIVATED!!!!!!!!!!

"I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY FRIENDS, ACNOLOGIA!!!!!!!!!"

*inserts explosion*

You know how it continues.
And as Erza swoops down to strike Acnologia with the mightiest blow of her sword, empowered by the feelings she has for her friends, ready to take the life of the King of Dragons, Acnologia raises a claw and squashes her.

The end.

That's how it goes right? ;)

Make Acnoligia kill all Erza's friend.
Then Erza in her Benizakura will one shot Acnologia or she will pull out Dragon armor out of her ass.

Even if Acnologia is immobilized, he took Igneel's claw attack to the face. I don't see any signs of Acnologia bracing against that claw attack either. Acnologia has never made a point of dodging attacks anyways. Igneel caught Acnologia off guard with his tail whip and his roar. Both are stronger displays of dragon slaying magic than Wendy's. You can also see cuts all over Acnologia's body, so Igneel must have landed hits on areas like his torso.

Nothing thus far has been shown to be capable of knocking Acnologia out of his dragon form. Igneel's roar didn't do it, and Igneel has magic capable of killing Zeref. Igneel's bite didn't do it, and that attack tore off an arm. Even Face's activation didn't do it, and it has the power to wipe out all magic on the continent of Ishgar. Acnologia has managed to maintain his dragon form even when he lost his arm. Irene dispelled her dragon form despite receiving no major injury. That just shows that Acnologia has a higher pain tolerance than Irene. Erza did less damage to Irene than Igneel did to Acnologia. The damage that Igneel dealt to Acnologia wasn't enough to knock him from his dragon form. I don't see why Erza would knock him from his dragon form.

I happen to believe that being immobilized makes a large difference on the damage that you take. None of Acnologia's injuries against Igneel is worse than Erza having 5 free slashes against somebody who is defenseless and vulnerable.

Most of the injuries were done on the main part of his body, including his chest scratches. I consider those insignificant for a dragon.

The arm being ripped off is probably the greatest injury that Igneel dealt, but like I said, in Acnologia's dragon form, losing an arm isn't the same as if he was a human.

I do agree that Acnologia has a completely higher pain tolerance compared to Irene. I've always thought Irene was relatively weak, and I've pretty much always advocated for Acnologia strongly in the past anyways.

But I've always considered immobility as a major restraining factor in a fight. Especially since we have to factor Erza's massive PoF with Makarov's spirit and her overpowered DS enchanted sword.

If she has 5 free hits, and all of them are on critical areas of Acnologia's body, I'm not 100% certain Acnologia can still stay in his dragon form, unless he shows more feats countering that argument.

As much as I dislike Erza and respect Acnologia, my analysis concludes that it's too close to call. In my opinion, there is a possibility that Acnologia would be reverted back to his human form if he took too much damage.. especially in areas such as the eyes or neck.

That doesn't mean Acnologia would be defeated however.. He would still wipe the floor with Erza's face in human form regardless of how much damage he takes in his dragon form.

But for the conditions of this match, I'm not gonna give a definitive judgement to either side.

But why would being immobilized make a large difference? Acnologia ended up taking the hit to the face anyways. Just because Acnologia is immobilized, it doesn't mean he has no durability. It just means he has to tank the hits. I just don't see any real reason he wouldn't be able to just tank the attacks. Erza dealt less damage to Irene than Igneel did to Acnologia. The damage that Igneel did to Acnologia didn't shock him out of his dragon form. It really just boils down to this: Erza is unlikely to damage Acnologia as much as she damaged Irene. Acnologia can maintain his dragon form despite receiving greater injuries than Irene did.

How is losing an arm any different for dragon as opposed to a human? If losing an arm was equivalent to losing a finger, Acnologia's human form would have lost a finger. What do you mean by "main part of his body" and "critical areas"? Erza didn't target a specific part of Irene's body either. She just cut her across the body. In any case, something like Igneel's roar would have hit every part of Acnologia's body, and Acnologia was cut along the neck in his exchange with Igneel. He maintained his dragon form.

Well, Irene is a fodder dragon yet she didn't get defeated but badly injured by Erza and Wendy combined magic. So the chances to defeat Acnologia is really so hard to exist even in fuck logic books.

Being immobilized means you take full force of the hit. When Igneel attacked Acnologia, his instinct caused him to dodge/pull away from the source of pain. If he can't move, he can't fight back. Which naturally means he's going to take the full extent and damage of Erza's blade.

He took way less damage from Igneel because he was on guard and braced for whatever Igneel sent his way. Plus, none of his injuries were comparable to having a blade striking your eye or neck.

In a fight, you would rather have both arms to block an attack than to be tied up and chained to a wall.

Losing an arm is different for a dragon because their arms are small compared to the overall size of their bodies. They don't feel as much pain since their physique is not proportional to a human's.

As a human, the arm is a large component of your body. Acnologia probably felt a lot greater pain after he reverted back to his human form.

It takes a lot more for a dragon to feel pain than for a human to. Losing an arm isn't equivalent for both dragons and humans.

Main part of his body would be his chest and torso area. Critical areas would be his eyes and neck. A sword slashing the body isn't bad. A sword slashed at the eye will cause major damage and possibly inflict blindness.

Irene is a lot weaker, which is why a cut to the body does the job. Acnologia would have to be hit in more critical areas.

As for tanking Igneel's roar and getting cut on the neck, he was moving and expecting it. He could block it or dodge the attack before it cut him too deep.

Erza can slash as deep of a wound as she wants. Acnologia is defenseless when immobilized, which will allow Erza to focus all her power on a single area that hurts most for Acnologia.

Acnologia took the full force of Igneel's claw anyways. He was hit square in the face by Igneel's claw. The fact that he was hit probably meant he was caught off guard. Igneel caught Acnologia off guard with his roar as well. There's no evidence that Acnologia flinched away. The roar also engulfed him, which meant it must have hit every part of his body - including the eyes and whatnot. Even if rolling away can mitigate some damage, it shouldn't be that huge of a factor. If a tiger claws you square in the face, there's only so much damage you can mitigate by rolling with it. The fact that Acnologia didn't receive any injury from the claw meant that this attack never penetrated his scales.

Igneel's claws are sharp. Why would it not be comparable to a bladed weapon? Wendy's claw attack can already tear human flesh, arguably better than some sword attacks in this series. Acnologia himself can gut God Serena with his own claw attacks. Igneel's claws in dragon form should be way stronger. The damage Erza deals against Acnologia is proportional to her attack power versus his durability. Erza had a free cut against Irene, whom made no attempt to dodge whatsoever. It still did less damage than Igneel's bite against Acnologia's arm.

Just because the overall size of their body is larger doesn't mean losing an arm isn't a significant injury. I don't buy that it would be any less painful. We have larger bodies in proportion to our limbs compared to certain animals. Doesn't mean chopping off a limb is any less painful. Losing an arm would hurt regardless whether Acnologia was a human or dragon. It takes a lot more to damage a dragon than it does to damage a human. Once damaged, there's no reason a dragon wouldn't feel pain - especially from something as serious as a lost limb.

No matter how I look at it, it's quite obvious that Acnologia vs. Igneel is not the same situation we have here. You can't apply those feats to this battle because Acnologia was fighting and attempting to kill Igneel.

And clearly, the roar didn't directly hit Acnologia in the eye, otherwise he would be blind by now. If Igneel's claw could make some cuts on his chest and torso, then his roar certainly would have burned Acnologia's eyes out.

That's not the case because Acnologia never let Igneel take a clear shot at his eyes.

Here, Acnologia is immobilized, the injuries that Acnologia sustained against Igneel are hardly comparable to having both of his eyes slashed by a sword a point-blank range.

And again, in the rest of your examples, Acnologia was not immobilized. He was fighting against his opponents, which would mean he is defending, dodging, or blocking their attacks. He is also bracing himself for whatever is sent his way.

The sharpness of the claw is really irrelevant to be honest. All it takes is the sharpness of a kitchen knife to make you go blind.

If Acnologia is immobilized, he can expect to take a sword to the eye as deep as his sockets would let it.

There is no way a dragon losing an arm is the equivalent of a human losing an arm...

There is a reason why Acnologia was still able to fly hundreds, if not, thousands of miles with a missing arm.

Most humans would be yelling in pain and kissing the floor if they had their arm cut off. Clearly, a dragon's physique is a lot tougher than a human's.

They're more tolerable to pain in their dragon form than a human who received the same injury/damage. Hence why the pain felt by a dragon cannot be compared to that of a human.

Why not? Igneel hit Acnologia with attacks. Acnologia remained in dragon form. Igneel's dragon slaying magic is of a higher level than Wendys. What more do we need? Quite frankly, the power gap between Igneel and Wendy is far more relevant than whether or not Acnologia is immobilized. I fail to see why mobility is even relevant in this. Acnologia made absolute no attempt to dodge or block Igneel's claw attack. If Acnologia can tank an attack head on, it literally makes no difference if he could move or not. The roar engulfed Acnologia. He also had his eyes wide open. There's no way the flames didn't touch his eyes. This just goes to prove it's not that easy to injure Acnologia's eyes.

Acnologia has a high pain tolerance. That's why he was able to fight with his arm torn off. Irene doesn't have as high of a pain tolerance and that's why she was shocked out of her dragon form with less damage. If Irene had lost an arm, she wouldn't have been able to stand over Erza with a sword. She would most likely be on the ground in pain. The fact that Acnologia can remain in his dragon form after receiving such an injury should be proof enough that Erza doesn't have what it takes to knock him out of his dragon form. She literally has to damage him more than Igneel did, and she didn't even do that to Irene. Not every human reacts the same way to every injury either. Run Erza through with a sword, and you will get a very different reaction than running Lucy through with a sword. Acnologia was simply tougher than Irene.

Acnologia one shots Erza in a majestic fashion.

The 5 slashes that Erza will give will probably be tanked by Acnologia considering the fact that he tanked a full Fire Dragon's roar from Igneel.

Then one fell swoop from his hand and Erza is down for good.

Acnologia has a high pain tolerance. That's why he was able to fight with his arm torn off. Irene doesn't have a high pain tolerance. That's why a fairly superficial slash is enough to shock her from her dragon form. Flip this around: If Irene had lost an arm, she wouldn't have been able to stand over Erza with a sword.

None of the cuts and scratches that Igneel made on Acnologia were ever that deep. They were mostly on his chest and torso, which are the most durable and least painful parts of his body.

As for the roar, it didn't directly hit Acnologia's eyes. It engulfed his entire body. There is a difference between surrounding his face and penetrating his eyes.

Like I said before. Acnologia's eyes cannot have more durability than his chest. If Igneel could inflict some cuts on his chest, then he would be able to blind Acnologia. The only reason why he couldn't do that is because Acnologia was not immobilized and wouldn't let him.

The roar is different from a physical object (such as a sword). If Acnologia couldn't move, and Igneel clawed at his eyes, then the Black Dragon would certainly be blind by now.

Irene's case doesn't really tell us much because she was hit across her whole body. For a defenseless Acnologia, Erza would be going straight for the most vulnerable part, such as the eyes.

Igneel never got a chance to pierce Acnologia's body where it counts. So I still don't see the comparison.

And Acnologia's high pain tolerance is a given, but for him, losing an arm in his dragon form isn't really considered a critical injury as it would for a human.

That just goes to show Acnologia's durability. Human Acnologia's claws are capable of gutting God Serena. Igneel's claws would have been just as potent. Keep in mind that Igneel could not damage Acnologia with just any attack. The first claw attack and roar he used against Acnologia didn't even leave a mark, despite both being direct hits. There was a point in their fight where Igneel lead Acnologia above the clouds so that they could go all out. Igneel probably used stronger attacks from that point. Perhaps it's a fair point to say Igneel never got the chance to hit Acnologia in the eyes with his claws. However, Wendy's dragon slaying magic isn't on Igneel's level in the first place - and Igneel had to go all out to do the damage he did.

If a fireball covers your entire body and you have your eyes open, it's only logical that the fire touches your eyes.

Igneel tore off Acnologia's arm. I don't get why you keep insisting that this isn't a major injury when it clearly is. Losing an arm is still more severe an injury than simply getting cut across the torso. Is there any real reason why a human would feel more pain than a dragon when they lose an arm? That's like saying a human would feel less pain than a kangaroo if we cut off our legs, because our legs are smaller. Pain has more to do with your pain receptors firing off than it does with how large your body part is. Besides, wouldn't losing an eye be less painful since its smaller than an arm? Now that I look at it, Acnologia's arms are no small fraction of Acnologia's body either. His biceps are nearly as large as his pectorals, and the length of his arm is almost as long as his neck.

Nice thread

I think erza might be able to knockout aconologia from dragon form from those first 5 hits. She did over power irene strongest move. And technically she can do that 5 times on aconologia critical region. So maybe

Unless you believe that Wendy's DS magic >>> Igneel's DS magic, Erza can't hurt him.
Wendy ds is equal to igneel ds
Power is difference though. By alot. I mean like alot

But wendy power was never in equation
Anyway so...

Wendy's dragon slaying magic is Grandeeney's power. Igneel is more powerful than Grandeeney.

Thats not cannon.
Irene obviously thought deus sema was stronger than her causal claw swipe

Wendy power is not in the equation its erza power with ds enchantment
If you want to see how people gove other people power. Laxus did that in tenrou arc.
Wendy only gave ds abilities to erza sword. The brute stength was erza.
Or you can show me panel of wendy sayimg take my powers erza.

If you want to see how people gove other people power. Laxus did that in tenrou arc.
Wendy only gave ds abilities to erza sword. The brute stength was erza.
Or you can show me panel of wendy sayimg take my powers erza.
It is. Irene said that even if Erza can slice a meteor, she cannot slice a dragon's scales. Dragon Scales are tougher than than the rock the meteor is made of, and dragon claws can pierce dragon scales. And obviously Irene's claw did more damage by feats. Igneel's claw would be at least as strong as human Acnologia's claws, and that was able to tear flesh from God Serena. Igneel's bite can sever a limb from Acnologia, which is more damage than any attack I just mentioned.

Wendy enchanted her dragon slaying magic into Erza's sword. You can even see the feathers that come with Wendy's magical power. It's Wendy's magical power, which is what allowed Erza to damage Irene. Even if the brute strength was Erza's, Igneel's brute strength is still greater than Erza's brute strength.

"Enchant Erza's Blade with Dragon Slayer Magic" Ergo it was the combination of the powerful magic Wendy empowered Erza's blade with, AND the brute strength of Erza's strike that cut into Eileen, as we can clearly see from the torrent of Sky DS magic swirling around Erza's sword and the explosion that the slash created as it sliced into Eileen(not something Benisakura does).

That is because she is immune to normal magic. Its not a rock. Its magical attack of irene. Its durability depends on irene strength. Just like erza swords arent just steel
Irene thought deus sema will wipe out erza existence. Erza thought everyone will die. Its pretty clear what mishma thinks is stronger

Yes she enchanted ds into her sword. Not her powers. Its has nothing to do with her powers.

Erza cant rip off irene arm because she didnt attack there. She attacked her torso. A critical region.
Igneel is powerful no doubt. But erza got 5 free hits. In the critical region. Not on limbs
So she might have a chance
I am going by how aconilogia thought to gaurd himself from irene causual nuke. A top tier move should do real damage. Five moves should do even more. Erza did over power that move with pof
