Because if its true maybe it's time for this sequel to get back to weekly. Bi-weekly is really a pain.

n France in any case FT 100 quest sells much better than EZ and I believe that in Japan it is the same.

Haha well well. 100 year quest anime. This literally came out of nowhere.

I guess they were waiting for the manga to get some chapters ahead before going through with it.

The God dragons will be awesome to see in animated form along with Tonka the white mage.

I imagine the voice acting cast will be the same too?

Filler is probably going to be an inevitability, but it can manifest in more than one way. There probably will be full filler arcs, and I can see them expanding on numerous scenes and concepts the manga didn't.

Scenes the anime will probably expand on will be the scenes with Fairy Tail being chased by the fish in the Mercuphobia Arc, Fairy Nail, the Second battle of Fairy Tail in the Aldoron Arc, the brief scenes in Edolas, the scenes with the girls and Happy as yokai, and probably some others.

I imagine the voice acting cast will be the same too?

Probably, if they're willing to come back, and I don't see why they wouldn't be. The same probably goes for the English dub cast too, since these do seem to be roles they were fond of.

I think its time for Mashima to show some love to FT sequel this is still his most popular manga till this date.

Hoping the anime adaptation will also be a hit.

To be honest, I still didn't want the sequel to be adapted into anime. I am used to seeing long stints of FT. So maybe I have a season of 25 episodes at most and that makes me sad.
it was much better to adapt city hero, heros or some other FT one-shot. and thus hope that the manga progresses even more. But hey, let's hope it at least has a good animation.

I think for now we can confirm that Funimation has the rights to FT YQ100. Hopefully they can finance an excellent animation.

I hope not, the EZ animation leaves a lot to be desired. not bad, but not wonderful either. and I hope FTYQ100 has a good animation. i wanna see natsu kick the water dragon god's butt in a cool way and not with slideshows

It's fantasy, Japan loves fantasy, and a sequel to fan favorite, I say it has more chances to get a better studio than EZ (Sci-fi with average ratings and sales).

they rushed through it, had very little editions and it was done in giant batch, If they go by 24 max ep per season they have more time and recourse to put work in it (episode quality over quantity).
Also I said more chances, I did not say it was certain, I mean The Promised Neverland Season 2

Looking at this from here, assuming it is initially released with 25 episodes (though there may be more), the anime will most likely cover the Mercphobia Arc, and the Aldoron Arc. The former is only 23 chapters long (and that's counting the first couple intro chapters), and since they can't drag an entire chapter across one episode, I think they could cover it in twelve episodes at the most. The second half will then be devoted to the Aldoron arc, and it'll end there (probably with Selene), presumably to await for the next season. There is always a possibility to bring it down to less, though (for a little perspective, the Phantom Lord arc has 23 chapters, and only 9 episodes; the Tower of Heaven arc had 28 chapters and 8 chapters; and the Alvarez arc had 108 chapters, and 44 episodes), and squeeze the Elentir arc in as well.

Now, that's obviously not accounting for potential filler episodes, or expanded scenes, though the more I think about it, the more I'm willing to guess that the show may not need it, if it is going to be released on a seasonal basis. That said, while I don't think it's likely, it is possible that the producers will put pressure to have the manga released at a quicker pace, so that they can keep the series going, and not have extended breaks.

I got into it just a month back because of @Jean Grey

I've caught up with the anime, so my POV isn't of someone who's upto date with the latest (manga). Looks good so far.

Nice world building, a darker theme, main characters are more enjoyable than FT (well they were decent in FT too until later, so this might change) etc.

Many characters are also rehashed from FT, in some way, shape or form.

Fights are meh, not terrible but nothing extraordinary either.
I haven't seen a concrete concept of "power level" in the series yet (was mentioned only once so far IIRC), so I just accept the results without issues since there seems to be no baseline to compare

"Better than Fairy Tail, because it has darker tone" is an overused excuse of EZ fans, In fact the darker tone ruins it and makes it worse, because it never folowes it through completley (lost a hand) or comes with an excuse to justify following it when it doesn't need too and overcomplicates things (Valk).
World Building? if you call different planets feel like the same planet (but different towns), than sure.
Mc main goal is a generic trait of every Shonen protagonist for no concrete reason, Go on adventure and make friends.
Likability of characters is questionable, more so it tryis to make you feel sorry for them from the get go, rather than make you like them. How long was it before we found out Erza was a child slave and Lucy was stuck with an Abusive (from grief) father after introducing them? Becca 2 episode, We know her tragedy.

If I remember correctly, Mashima said he wasn’t a fan of fighting that lasts three chapters or more.
