Soon it will be the end of Fairy Tail?

Hi!
I am very worried that my favorite manga Fairy Tail may soon end. Let me start from the beginning.
I'm a fan of Fairy Tail. Recently appeared in a special chapter Fairy Tail x Rave. I was curious what a Rave, and after a while I learned that a previous manga Hiro Mashima drew that. Author Rave ended when it was about 300 chapter. Currently, Fairy Tail close to 300 chapters, to have as many as Rave.
So I'm afraid that it is also the author of Fairy Tail manga will end at about 300 chapters, which is coming soon.
I thought that this special is just to remind us that Fairy Tail will end up as quickly as Rave.

So I started looking because of the end of Rave. Actually, I tried to find information about the popularity of rave in years when it was published. I found the rankings, but there was no Rave. Did not even know how these rankings are reliable. After all, it seems to me that ended with the lack of popularity. But I do not know, this is only my opinion, I do not have to prove it.

Fairy Tail is currently in fourth place in the popularity of manga in Japan.

This Fairy Tail is a strict 10 most watched anime in Japan, more often than Naruto and Bleach.

After all, if Rave Master had the same popularity, then I fear for the end of Fairy Tail.

Nah I don't think Fairy Tail will end any time soon. There are so much unexplained plots that we still don't know about. There's the dragons, Lucy, Raven Tail, Tatorous, and probably more.

Well, the manga just got to the zeref business to which it has hinted since the first chapters of the manga so the ending coming sooner rather than later would be a little awkward. There are still several other plot points to deal with such as the dragons and tartarus. I think the manga has at least another 3 years.

I don't think Fairy Tail's end is anywhere in sight. There are still so many unexplained things and questions left unanswered, it would make no sense to end it now or anytime soon. It would make for a very rushed and unsatisfactory ending should Mashima choose to do that. Besides, it's making money and doing well, so no reason for it to be canceled or anything. Rather, it will probably be kept on as a cash cow

I'm not sure about Rave Master as I only watched the anime ages ago and never looked up its sales stats, but I'm pretty sure Fairy Tail is considerably more popular than Rave (if anybody has stats, feel free to correct me).

Well, Mashima has history of wrapping things up in a very fast pace and at anytime he could do that with ease. I remember reading Rave Master at the part with the vampire ,look alike, that had darkness like powers and I thought that it would be as long Skypiea arc but at the end of he arc it got really fast.

Fairy tail arcs are sometimes even faster I mean how many arcs went through 100 chapters like 5? Still he managed to make the storyline really thick and that's his strength. Anyway, yeah, the series could be ending faster than imagined but I doubt that he could finish it within 300 chapters more like 4-500. I mean the shortest road would be to deal and end the Zeref Saga right know and then deal with Tartaros at the same speed he did Oracion Seis and perhaps finish it big with a fast paced revealing battle against Raven tail.

Fairy Tail won't end so soon ! There is still a lot of things to explain, we need to see more screen time of certain characters, we need to see for example more of Makarov's son that i expect at some point of the story to have a big paper!
We still need to know what happened to the Dragons and why did they dissapeared!
Natsu will have to become stronger and i think we will have to see him , Gray and Lucy becoming S class mages!
So i think that Mashima is going to loose some time on some dangerous missions , where they are going to get more experience , .........
So i think it won't end in the minimum before 2014 ​

Others already said many about series end by the view of plot and author. So I'll just ensure you that Fairy Tail is one of the best selling series in Weekly Shonen Magazine so it won't be cancelled by unpoppularity. If you're afraid of this, then don't be.

I don't think that Fairy Tail is ending anytime soon. I agree with the others saying that it might end in three years or so? There are still a lot of things that need to be explained for example; The Dragons where they went? The other Dark Guilds. Lucy's past and how her mother died/went missing during the event of the Dragons. And if I missed any my bad . Yup still a lot to go!

Hmm I don't think so either. There's still so many things yet to be explained / concluded... Those that I remember::

* The dragons' disappearance and the dragon slayers' search for them
* Laxus. He IS going to return for sure.
* Bluenote and Hades and what happened in the past? and Makarov too.
* Urtear and Gray (what Urtear is up to or is she telling the truth?)
* Cana's past and what it has to do about being S-class
* Zeref's full story, of course^^

...and additional possibilities:
* Jellal (I don't think we've seen the last of him)
* Gildarts (what the 100yrs quest was about, etc)
* Lucy. I don't know, but there's something still not out in the open^^ I also have the feeling she'll complete the 12 zodiac spirits before the series ends.
* Lisanna (yeah, she's back, but srsly for what? something might be in store for her)
* Other guilds mentioned but not yet appeared (Tartaros, Raven Tail)

We have 230 chapters so far (not counting specials) ..if it's going to end at its 300th then we'll have only 70 left. Even though Mashima sometimes surprises us w/ quicker battle endings, I don't think he could/would/should fit all the above plus the respective battles/confrontations in 70 chapters

Well, these are the arcs which we know are coming in some form:

Zeref (I doubt the zeref business ends in this arc so we should expect him to have at least one more)
Ivan (raven tail is bound to have an arc)
Tartarus
Dragons

Arcs generally last around 35 chapters so based on this we have atleast 140 more chapters. Of course, the plot of those could be united in a single arc but we could still reasonably estimate there can be a random nonrelated arc so we can keep those estimates there. I see it going for at least 3 more years but no more than 4. I doubt the manga will reach the 400 chapter mark.

dont think so but who knows also i dont know if fairy tail is more popular then rave master. rave master imo is a better manga then fairy tail but i dont know what tother think. but it ended because it solved all its lose ends and fairy tail tails has to many. maybe the name will end soon like rave master was not animated fully. fairy tail may be the same. i would like them to animate all of it but unlikely

There are still a ton more arc before they could wrap this up... There is no definite Villain yet other than the son of Makarov and there are Dragons too and many more... I think the Anime maybe ending soon but the Manga is definitely will run years

Rave and Fairy Tail are different even though its the same author i doubt Mashima will be like "i will make all my manga approximately the same length' and like the others said there are tons of mysteries to be explained;
Zeref,
the dragons,
the dragon slayers,
Lucy and her keys,
Lucy's mum and her connection to the dragons,
the other dark guilds,
these are some to mention and i think he needs more than around a hundred chapters to explain that all so i give FT a good 3 to 4 more years maximum,

Is there going to be a chapter this weekend? Or is it next weekend that has no chapter?

Next weekend (well this coming weekend now), or the week after. The Golden Week "double" issue that chapter 232 runs in official comes out this wednesday 4/27, and the next issue is officially out 5/11. If the 5/11 issue leaks at the normal time, it'll be this coming weekend with no chapter. If it leaks a week early as the after double issue ones tend to do, it'll be the next weekend with no chapter.

I think the zeref face was when he saw Ultear and got angry. Natsu face, probably a different version of his giving up against Gildarts.

I don't think the natsu in charles's vision is from the time we saw him fighting against gildarts. It's just a bit different and we have seen pretty much the exam images in the other cases.
