Because yeah you know, Fairy Tail members can't watch their mouth, even they always destroyed everything in front of them, including a town or a village haha. Other than that, he did know if his memory erasing magic is not an absolute magic. The effect will be gone someday. As for the guild mark, I think in the end of Tartaros arc scene, Makarov just brought back what has been covered all this time. So I guess Makarov and Mest had agreed to hide the guild mark before Mest erased memories.

Yeah, but that worked against ft. Mest wasn't doing anything to defend ft, instead he was trying to get them in trouble and find some dirt on them during the Tenrou arc in order to get a promotion. Plus there was no suspicious business in the council for Mest to go as far as he did taking away what's really important to him, his guild family bonds. If Jellal was his focus, he failed big time as no one knew Jellal's motives at the time. Your ft guild mark explanation is a good one though. And I hope his magic wears off like you said.

Hmm.. IMHO it's not like in every arc FT got big trouble because of Mest's membership in The Magic Council. His debut was in Sirius Island arc. And it happened that, and it was lucky for FT, the first big trouble caused by him didn't become real big trouble. Azuma happened to blast the ships, Mest stole the communication lacrima and prevented TMC from firing etherion, and Acnologia attacked FT and they disappeared for 7 years. In fact Mest regretted what he did in Sirius Island, he left Wendy, and other members too, alone to be obliterated by Acno's one blow. He kept regretting, we can know it from GMG arc. This regret of him reflects his feelings toward FT, that he is actually a member of FT.

Your ft guild mark explanation is a good one though. And I hope his magic wears off like you said.

Yes, anime version was clearer than manga. Makarov ripped off his clothes first, and then the guild mark popped up after that. As for his magic, yea his magic effect is temporary, just like what happened to all FT members in Sirius Island arc.

I guess so. With all these "god slayers", and this guys seems to fall into the category of a god.

This mostly goes towards the Dragons. From knowledge of One Piece, Logia basically turns your body into a element or plasma. Think Acnologia and Weisslogia. I dont know what Acno means but Weiss means White.

Pointy/edge in greek. Also a sign of age.

I was thinking about Neinhart today. What if he was a requip mage like Erza? I was wondering if someone would ever come at Erza with a Hell's Wheel or a Death's Wheel Armour.

You are right. ー Mest did erase his own memory. I like all backstories of each FT member, including Mest. He was willing to sacrifice himself, to accept all consequences of it, to let other members hate him. Imho, at least it's more like all what I say. If only there was another way, he would have chosen that way. He was forced to do that. I am not defending Mest nor is he one of my fav char. But his story was heartbreaking.

Was that ever a secret? Natsu was quite well-known even in the beginning of the series as a troublemaker always looking for Igneel and Jellal was a Council member.

Mest was most likely a something like a sleeper agent in Magic Council. Makarov knew about him in Tenrou, but still didn't undo his Fairy mark, that means he must still have some reason to keep Mest in the council, like Makarov was using Gajeel against raven tail. However, here the council is gone before Mest was of any use though!

Like Vici said it wasn't stated, but I think it was Erza. Iirc she stood in the middle when they were together, whether that means anything I'm not sure. It just looked like she was the boss.

Can someone please tell me how does Zeref know the location of Fairy Heart? If his source is Raven, they had no clue that it is in Magnolia, under the guild. So why is he marching to magnolia? Has it been explained?

Yea that topic actually has been floating around this site. Mavis said Ivan Dreyar heard about Lumen Histoire most likely from Precht, but Ivan himself didn't know where it's located. If Ivan had no clue, so did Obra. If Obra had no clue, so did Zeref and his Shields. I think Zeref is marching to Magnolia in order to make FT forcibly surrender and give FH to him at no cost.

Hey, I am watching the GMG arc and it says Leon was the leader. Haven't heard about Sting, but he became guild master right b4 the finals!
