This isn't one of your typical Fairy Tail Hangout posts but I feel like the issue regarding moderator actions needs to be addressed. Also, I recently noticed a lot of people asking why their posts got deleted. And I think this should be cleared up. Here are a few rules from the General Rules, Guidelines, and Forum Etiquette Thread that I think is potentially a problem.

General Rules

• Please be respectful and show common courtesy not only to other members, but also artists, publishers, studios and the likes. Difference of opinion is a given during discussion, and criticism has its place, so long as it is constructive and contributes to the ongoing conversation; not used to bash others or to just generally be negative. Being passive aggressive, sarcastic or trolling to bait others is not acceptable.

• We ask that any problems you may have involving a staff member be handled privately. Contact a member of the administrative team to report the issue, avoid complaining about moderation action taken against you, which only serves to derail thread discussions. Likewise, if you have trouble and feel an administrator’s actions against you are unwarranted or otherwise unfair, then contact another administrator.

These are rules that are strictly enforced. One way to avoid violating them is by being respectful and not participating in unhealthy discussions such as bashing, flaming, or trolling. Also, don't be the one baiting or starting the wars. It probably won't end up very well.

Content Etiquette

• As difficult as it may be to sometimes contain emotions, we ask that you refrain from overusing emoticons, typing in all caps and unnecessary use of various colors and size fonts.

• Spamming is prohibited. Posts containing reaction images, single words such as “GREAT!” will be deleted, as will any one line post that does not add to the discussion/topic. Use the quoting or edit function where possible, to avoid double-posting.

Based on what I have seen, this happens a lot more frequently. I tend to include off-topic posts here as well. But overall, I'm very lenient with this. As long as you're talking about the subject at hand, I tend to leave it alone. As for swearing, as long as it isn't directed towards another user, I'm fine with that.

Last but not least, there is one more "rule" I want everyone to be aware of. Since this doesn't happen often, it isn't explicitly stated but it is still good to know. Don't abuse the report button. When something directly violates forum rules, then by all means report it. But if you report every single post because you fell for the bait or take things too personally, then it can backfire against you.

I highly recommend going over the full list of rules if you have time. Trust me, being a new moderator, I understand how you guys feel. Remember, if you have any questions or comments, send a PM to the moderators.~ XXEliteXXAceXX
