Actually, I was thinking that this arc could be one that could allow Irene to get a new body. Youko is an interesting idea in particular, because if Irene could take control of yokai Wendy, she could enchant herself onto Youko, and then undo the transformation magic.
Eileen deserves to possess a woman more beautiful than yoko
That could be how they save Lucy, Wendy, Erza, and Carla.
Remember Merc became human after his powers were sealed, so same may happen with Selene.

While I'm up for the idea of Irene possessing Selene's body (it would be a fitting fate for Selene), I hope that's not the only way to save Erza, because that may mean the girls would be out of commission for the rest of the arc.
I was thinking of something similar, it is viernes who will have the key to aquarius but also that he will steal the keys from lucy for his collection. So we will have the return of brandish and also a good motivation for lucy. But I also thought that maybe via the gold scales of Viernes + something else, the king's key could be forged.
when i said "save Erza", i meant they are freed and are fighting back and defeated all Moonlite Goddeses, but Selene is out of their league and she's going to kill them, So Irene needs to step up.
I’m sure they’ll be involved since it was foreshadowed. We know the type of ds magic Suzaku uses but there’s a chance they meet up with another dark dragon knight that has dimensional powers. I don’t think adding Diabolos makes it character heavy like aldo arc. But yeah I’m interested the body Irene goes for, IMO it comes down to Selene or a diabolos member
